Who are we?

London Gypsies and Travellers (LGT) is an organisation that challenges social exclusion and discrimination, working for change in partnership with Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people. We work with families across London Boroughs, including those living on council caravan sites, roadside camps, in bricks and mortar housing, and those experiencing homelessness.

Our Bright Futures programme offers mentoring and skills support to young Gypsy, Roma, and Traveller people aged 15–25 years. Through tailored one-to-one work, group activities and practical help, we support young people to build confidence, motivation and pride in their identity, while developing the tools they need to succeed in wider society.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for a motivated and organised Youth Project Worker to support the delivery of Bright Futures. This is a varied role that combines project coordination, outreach support, administration, and direct engagement with young people.

You’ll help keep the programme running smoothly behind the scenes while also building trusted relationships with partner services and young people and families, supporting communications, and contributing to learning and reflection.

What will the role involve?

As a Youth Project Worker, you will:

• Support the day-to-day administration of the mentoring and employability programme, including record-keeping and report preparation
• Help coordinate communications activities such as creating new material, WhatsApp updates, and social media
• Maintain and grow referral networks with employers, training providers, and community organisations
• Engage directly with young people and their families to raise awareness and encourage participation
• Hold a light caseload of mentees and support mentoring activities as needed
• Contribute to programme monitoring, evaluation, and learning

Contract Terms

This is an initial 6-month contract, with continuation dependent on funding and satisfactory performance.

Subject to a positive funding outcome and strong performance, we would aim to extend the contract at the earliest opportunity.

About You

The National Youth Agency is looking for a new Local Quality Manager to join our Youth Work Innovation & Development Team.

We are the professional statutory and regulatory body (PSRB) responsible for qualifications, quality standards, and safeguarding for youth work and services in England. About the Role
 
Responsibilities will include:

• Lead delivery of key Local Offer programmes, such as our successful Peer Review and Peer Network Programme, which are designed to support Local Authorities and organisations in meeting the needs of young people and in the case of Local Authorities meet their Statutory Duty (section 507B).
• Manage the delivery of traded services relating to Quality Standards and Organisational Development.
• Manage and regularly update both existing and new online resources related to Quality Standards, ensuring consistency and standardisation across all materials.
• Collaborate with the National Curriculum and Learning Manager to influence the youth work curriculum and share learning and insight from programmes
• Work collaboratively with the Youth Investment Fund Programme Manager to inform and develop Quality Standards.
• Work with Local Policy & Partnerships Manager and the NYA Knowledge Team to develop sector insights and to share learning and knowledge across NYA teams and the youth work sector.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities and partner organisations to promote awareness and encourage participation in NYA programmes and Quality Standards.
• Utilise NYA tools, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Project Management systems, to generate timely and relevant performance and financial reports that support informed decision making and effective programme delivery. Experience of using project management platform (or similar) would be an advantage.
• Provide line-management and support to peers and officers as required.

 
Our ideal Local Quality Improvement Manager should have the following:

• Extensive experience working directly with young people across diverse settings, demonstrating a deep understanding of youth development and engagement.
• Demonstrated expertise managing youth work programmes and improving practice standards, including within Local Authority contexts.
• Proven experience in assessing youth work against established standards and implementing quality assurance processes for effective management, delivery, and evaluation.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in embedding best practices in youth voice, participation, and leadership within services and programmes.
• Strong understanding of the current challenges facing Local Authorities and youth sector organisations, and the implications for young people’s needs and service delivery.
• Ability to analyse complex organisational and Local Authority structures, reflect critically, and articulate clear recommendations for improvement and recognition of effective practice.
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with experience supporting and managing peers and officers in a collaborative environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and work effectively with partners and stakeholders.

About the role:

This role's primary purpose is to ensure effective delivery and continuous improvement of Respect's training programmes. This involves an experienced Trainer facilitating courses, webinars, and workshops, as well as overseeing the creation of new training content and securing its CPD certification or OCN accreditation. The core purpose of this position is to drive the quality and reach of Respect's learning and development programme. 

About you:

• At least three years’ experience of domestic abuse client work, preferably with perpetrators 
• Experience in delivering training for different audiences and in various formats (face-to-face, online, blended learning)

We are seeking a skilled and organized community activities coordinator to manage the Afghan component of our new project covering Islington, Camden, and wider London areas. The Afghan Activities Coordinator will play a crucial role in supporting Project Manager and ensuring the successful project implementation and delivery of high quality activities for young Afghan refugees and their families. You will develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, find new partnerships and assist in develop projects plans.

You will be able to build rapport and trusting relations in a professional setting, and able to build positive outcomes. You will have an adaptable and flexible approach to helping others, with an understanding that each young person has different levels and types of support needs.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

-Assist in developing project plans, timelines and budgets

-Coordinate project activities and ensure they are executed according to plan

-]onitor project progress and report any deviation to the project manager.

-Provide regular update and reports to the project manager, project team and overall organisation.

Communication and collaboration:

- Facilitate communication between project team members, stakeholders and beneficiaries

Energy Action Redhill and Reigate (EARR) is dedicated to improving home energy efficiency across East Surrey.  We work to improve the sustainability of homes, as well as making them healthier to live in and more economical to run.

We are seeking an organised and self-motivated Project Coordinator to join our Home Energy Advice Team.  You will play a key role in co-ordinating a programme of home energy surveys, distribution of energy efficiency materials and helping to deliver a series of events.  The post is funded through an Energy Redress grant and is part of the Surrey-wide HEAT programme, working in partnership with other voluntary organisations across Surrey.

As Project Coordinator you will play a key role in

• scheduling home energy surveys and follow up support
• liaising with residents, volunteers, and local partners
• planning and promoting community events
• monitoring and reporting on project progress and impact

Location: The role is home based; however, travel across Reigate & Banstead and Tandridge will be required to support events and home surveys.

Hours: 736 hours per year (average 16 hours per week over 46 weeks - you can manage the hours worked to suit yourself and the project.  Demand for the survey service is seasonal and it is anticipated more hours will be needed over the Winter months, with fewer hours in the Summer. 

Dates: Start from 23 September 2025 or earliest available date following this. This is a fixed-term contract until 30 April 2027

Salary: £25 per hour (3% uplift from May 2026)  Please note this role to be undertaken on a self-employed consultancy basis.
