To act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity; building strong relationships across a variety of networks to support and develop the public presence of the charity and community fundraising income. The role may involve evening and weekend working to support community fundraising activities and events, and working hours are flexible to reflect this.

Key Duties

Fundraising:

• Be the primary point of contact for new and existing supporters.
• Proactively look for opportunities to support and develop local fundraising initiatives.
• Develop and deliver a varied range of fundraising activities to a range of audiences, including events and campaigns.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity with local community groups and organisations.
• Work with the wider team to develop relationships with local businesses and corporate partners.
• Work to set targets and generate income. Work with the wider team to recruit and support local fundraising volunteers.
• Maintain up to date records of communication with funders; income generated and how this compares to budget.
• Keep up to date with the latest fundraising trends, regulations and news.

Marketing & Communications:

• Develop the charity’s public presence and brand.
• Produce marketing materials to represent the charity and its projects, including online newsletters, print media and merchandise.
• Manage the charity’s digital content including social media channels and website.
• Support with e-commerce and support the enterprise team to maximise opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at networking events, meetings and other outside events, as necessary.

Other:

• Supporting other members of the team to deliver activities; including, but not limited to, activity days and evening clubs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have a sound education to A-level standard or equivalent.

Experience:

We are currently hiring for a new Trusts, Foundations and Corporates Manager, who will be responsible for managing income streams and maintaining a high standard of applications, reporting and stewardship for our trusted partners.

Key responsibilities:

* Secure funding from Trusts, Foundations and Corporates sources to meet annual income targets and key performance indicators.

About the Program

The Europe Regional Finance program has evolved out of our Financial Regulation and Policy Program that began in 2019 with a narrow focus on European central banks. Since then, we've expanded to shape financial regulation and policy globally to accelerate clean energy and create lasting systemic change in how public finance addresses climate challenges. Now the Europe Regional Finance program will focus on EU Policy and Finance and UK Policy and Finance. 

About The Role

The purpose of this role is to contribute to achieving the objectives in the EU Financial Policy and Regulation project, specifically the work on public finance, fiscal policy and industrial strategy. Together with partners and allies, this role will help stop the political polarisation of net zero and contribute to building the broader case for public investment by establishing and propagating a narrative linking the opportunities of the clean energy transition with improving conditions for households and communities. This role sees the big picture and can translate it into actionable plans for maximum impact.

We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations. 

About You

You have experience working on public finance, fiscal policy, or industrial strategy. You understand what it takes to hold the big picture, and translate complicated campaign strategies into actionable steps. You enjoy digging into the policy details, but are able to focus on the key ways to move the campaign forward for maximum impact. You’re able to work with diverse networks of organisations from trade unions to business leaders. You have a strong understanding of the political context which dictates our work and what's possible, but also innovative in thinking through solutions and opportunities to do things differently. The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about school libraries, education, and community-building.

With a particular focus on coordinating and supporting our Branch network, you will collaborate on initiatives for development, delivery and new projects as they come online. You will be the first port of call for advice and expertise relating to school libraries and enabling our members to more effectively support their school communities. Supporting the delivery of online and in-person networking events and workshops for members, you will work with your SLA colleagues, in particular the Training and Events Officer, to deliver a high-quality member offer and to ensure member needs are reflected in all offerings. The ability to travel to training and events across the UK is essential. Duties include:

Branch network and member support

• Work with the CEO to develop the SLA Branch Network and accompanying strategies
• Identify opportunities for developing initiatives to grow and develop the Branch network community, that will deliver on the SLA mission
• Develop strong relationships with local, regional and national stakeholders to support network growth and enable members to take full advantage of all relevant opportunities available to them

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the London Locality Impact team to support our work with colleagues across the locality, stroke communities and health care system, and in supporting people affected by stroke to provide the voice of lived experience.

Typical finance duties include the development and implementation of finance strategies and policies, the production of financial reports and management accounts, leading on the budgeting & forecasting process, leading on the production of the annual statutory accounts, and supporting the Finance Officer with all elements of transactional finance such as reconciliations & VAT.

The Head of Finance will also take an active role on the Senior Leadership Team including contributing to business plans, networking with partner organisations and contributing to the continued strategy to diversify the charity’s income.

The charity uses Xero accounting software and has a December financial year-end. There is a current interim Head of Finance in post, and a handover with this person is likely. 

The role would suit an experienced charity sector Head of Finance, seeking to work on a part-time basis. The role will be offered on a 3 day per week basis, and is a fully office based role, in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible to consider 2 days in the office with 1 day working from home, however the preference is for 3 days onsite. 

The salary offered is £60,000 - £66,000 per annum FTE (pro-rata) and benefits include flexible working, an employee benefits programme, training opportunities, 6% employer pension contribution and a generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus bank holidays (pro-rated for part-time staff). 

Requirements

• Qualified or near qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, CIPFA or equivalent

Job Description

The Senior Service Manager (SSM) provides strategic oversight of Redthread Services (currently working with 9 hospitals in London and Birmingham) providing line management to ensure high quality delivery that improves outcomes for children and young people and be successful in seeking opportunities for further growth. The SSM will work with the YPF SMT and will take a lead role in implementing our YPF strategy in this area, including taking and making opportunities to grow our services, and supporting new service implementation as need requires.

The role can be home based, but time spent in each of the services alongside travel across the UK will be required in order to support delivery and growth of  services across the Hub.  The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering and managing similar services and the right mix of leadership, passion and energy, and an innovative nature. A proven track record in engaging with positive relationships with commissioners and securing new business is essential. The role will involve promoting, connecting and building services in order to impact the lives of vulnerable young people with complex needs.

Duties and accountabilities are split into two core areas, management and development of Redthread service delivery,  including direct management and coordination ensuring high performance that improves outcomes for children and young peopleand supporting implementation of the YPF growth strategy

• Line management of service managers and operational oversight of service contracts.

Qualifications

The Training and Events Officer will play a key role developing and delivering high quality professional development, training, events, workshops to SLA members and wider audiences. The postholder will develop inspirational, insightful and innovative routes to supporting SLA members to deliver on their school library provision remit, enabling children and young people to reach their full potential. • Work with Head of Insight & Advocacy to engage and support communities in relation to timelines for insight work 

Events & Campaigns 

• Plan, organise, and execute online and in-person community events (support groups, awareness days, family meetups, annual conference) 

• Collaborate with the team to deliver campaigns around awareness, fundraising, and education 

• Work with Virtual Support Assistant to coordinate speakers, logistics, communications, and follow-ups for all events with  

Relationship & Partnership Management 

• Build and maintain relationships with other patient advocacy groups, charities, and health organisations 

• Represent the charity at external events, meetings, and forums relevant to the rare disease space 

• Seek opportunities for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and joint initiatives 

Community Fundraising 

• Work with Fundraising lead on community support for individual and events fundraising including event research, donor journey support and online promotion 
   

Person Specification 

Essential 

• Experience managing online communities and/or social media platforms in a professional or volunteer capacity 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong organisational skills and event planning experience 

• Empathetic and sensitive to the lived experiences of patients and carers 

• Ability to work independently, from home, and as part of a small, dynamic team 

• Confident, keen to travel and enjoys in-person events and networking  

Desirable 

• Personal or professional experience within the rare disease, health, or charity sectors 

• Experience managing partnerships or external relationships 

• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Eventbrite, or similar
