Overview of the role

As the Fundraising Officer, you will play a key role in delivering a range of fundraising appeals and our individual and regular giving programmes. This position also provides plenty of variety and the opportunity to support and develop skills across several income streams. The Fundraising Officer will work collaboratively with the Fundraising and Communications teams and closely with the Senior Fundraising Managers.

 What you will do as part of our team

Fundraising activities

Individual Giving

· Manage the regular giving programme by implementing a rolling 12-month plan of meaningful touchpoints to deepen relationships

· Develop and implement a plan to encourage increased giving and recruit new regular donors with personalised cultivation and stewardship

· Maximise engagement and retention of individual supporters (giving at a lower to mid level) by prompt thanking, excellent stewardship and building effective donor journeys

Fundraising Appeals

· Manage Glass Door’s direct marketing appeals including our flagship annual Christmas appeal – taking the lead on the direct mail and email campaign

· Lead on content development, and implementation of donor segmentation based on giving history, preferences, and engagement levels

· Work closely with the Communications Team to deliver a robust communication plan – actively taking part in the case studies, content creation and digital campaign plans (social media and website)

· Create and implement a follow-up communication plan to thank donors and provide updates on the impact of their contributions

· Undertake evaluations of each appeal’s performance metrics and donor responses to refine future appeals

Fundraising support

· Monitor the Fundraising inbox and respond promptly to ad-hoc queries from individual donors or prospects

· Support the Senior Fundraising Managers with research into current and prospective donors, and compile information to support funding applications and reports

· Thank and steward in-memoriam gifts

· Support the wider team at events e.g. Sleep Out, Christmas Carols and other supporter events

· Opportunity in due course to work towards managing a small portfolio of trusts, foundations and other grant-making bodies which would involve drafting applications and meeting reporting requirements (depending on interest and aptitude)

Fundraising Administration

· Create and update donor records as required on Access Charity CRM database , ensuring relevant records are kept up to date, accurate and consistent at all times.

· Work with Finance and the Income Processing Assistant to ensure accurate and timely processing of donations, including scanning cheques, coding bank transfers and web donations, entering details in the CRM database, banking cash, setting up Direct Debits and acknowledging/thanking donors via email or post.

· Ensure all fundraising activity is compliant with relevant charity and statutory legislation, and the Fundraising Code of Practice

We're looking for a talented Individual Giving Manager to join our small team. The role will be responsibile for the delivery of our excellent supporter stewardship, care and retention programmes, whilst driving fundraising growth. 

The Individual Giving Manager will be responsible for the development and delivery of Women for Refugee Women’s (WRW) individual giving fundraising strategy, including through a variety of income streams such as regular gifts, High Net Worth giving, corporate support, events, and legacies; to develop and deliver WRW’s support engagement journey in order to generate income from individual donors and to develop strong and long-lasting supporter relationships; to oversee and develop our stewardship retention programme; and to contribute to WRW’s overall fundraising strategy and income generation.

We are looking for a passionate and empathetic individual who has the skills, knowledge and experience in coordinating casework and undertaking reporting of data to stakeholders. The IPO will undertake and be responsible for a range of administrative functions to advance and simply casework flow under the Sub-Regional Immigration Advice Service (SIAS) project. The IPO must have the ability to communicate effectively with referring agencies and stakeholders on a regular basis. The IPO will organise and present data to funders and others on behalf of NKLC. The IPO would have a good general understanding of Legal Aid casework, and the regulatory obligations set by the SRA and IAA.

The IPO will manage referrals, liaise with the immigration team, and undertake a variety of administrative functions to maintain and resolve associated issues within the immigration department. Where appropriate, the IPO will arrange appointments, attend triage sessions off-site and liaise with referring agencies to ensure that caseworkers can advance casework as efficiently as possible.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our new forensic Women’s Nova Roots service, which is a peer led service for women who are leaving forensic services, based in West London. The service will be open 3 days a week: one weekday evening out of hours and three weekends a month (flexible weekend pattern and times can be arranged).

The aim of the service is to support women who are leaving forensic care to re-integrate into society by offering a community social hub. The focus of the service is to provide social engagement, relaxation and a touch point for out of hours forensic support. The Women’s Hub will provide face-to-face holistic group support, offer psychoeducation and health workshops tailored and coproduced to the direct needs of clients, offer peer-led groups which will be co-designed and led by the clients accessing the hub. We will also offer a range of activities onsite.

Nova Roots will be an extension of the existing support offered by the Specialist Community Forensic Team (SCFT), offering out of hours social support. All referrals into the hub will be directly from the SCFTs and local hospitals.

The Nova Roots will be staffed with 1 part time Project Coordinator and 4 Forensic/Peer Led Volunteers – with Service Manager oversight. The Project Coordinator will work directly and closely with the SCFTs.

The Role

The role of the Nova Roots Project Coordinator is to arrange and coordinate a range of psychoeducation, health and peer-led workshops which will be delivered 3 times a week. The Nova Roots Project Coordinator will be responsible for managing the 4 peer-led volunteers and oversight of the site 3 days a week. The Nova Roots Project Coordinator will also be required to be in regular communication with the SCFTs.

The role will require hybrid working: onsite when the hub is open and 1 day of planning/coordination which can be worked remotely on a rota basis.

The Casework and Research Manager will lead Humanists International's efforts in supporting Humanists at Risk through strategic engagement, research, and the management of key publications, particularly the Freedom of Thought Report. FINANCE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Purpose

The Finance Manager will proactively plan, manage and oversee the financial strategy, operations, and compliance of our dynamic and growing organisation. The role contributes directly to the organisation’s strategic planning and has hands-on oversight of financial transactions, operations, compliance and reporting.  

As the Finance Manager, you will be a member of the Executive leadership team working closely with the CEO on matters of financial strategy and business development - contributing to strategic decisions and providing financial guidance.You’d also be supported by the Finance Manager Assistant and the Bookkeeper.

Main Objectives

• Provide leadership, in-depth knowledge and financial expertise to support the organisation’s strategy, business development and operations. 
• Manage the day-to-day financial operations including payroll, payments, controls and cash flow to ensure sound financial management and accuracy around all financial routines and procedures. Also ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
• Lead on and manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting - working closely with the CEO.
• Lead on enhancing procedural efficiencies and streamlining in finance operations.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts. Manage the annual financial audit and implement recommendations.
• Provide and manage sound financial reporting and conduct financial analysis and financial modelling for business development.
• Work with and manage the Finance Manager Assistant and Bookkeeper.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role works closely with the CEO and is assisted by the Assistant Finance Manager and the Bookkeeper.

Financial Planning

• Lead on financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, highlighting key trends, opportunities and risks. Also scenario planning and financial modelling for growth and sustainability.
• Provide sound financial advice to the CEO, Executive and Trustees also assisting with business planning and strategy and business development.

Financial Management

• Lead on and manage the annual financial audit, including preparation, responding to auditors queries and implementation of recommendations, effectively and in a timely manner. Also filling with the Charity Commission and Companies House.
• Lead on the day-to-day management of financial operations to ensure sound financial management and accuracy of all financial routines and procedures.
• Monitor performance of actuals in relation to budget, income generation targets, approved expenditure and in relation to forecast. Note, analyse and comment on variations and propose adjustments.  
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and reports for decision-making and planning.
•  Advise on and manage investments and cashflow.

Governance: Policies, procedures and financial controls

• Ensure compliance with all requirements and standards in respect to Insurance, Companies House, Charities Commission and HMRC.
• Proactively lead on process improvements as we grow. Includes writing, reviewing and updating finance procedures and policies, in collaboration with the CEO and Executive colleagues.
• Ensure governance documents are up to date. Including Trustees appointment and resignation records, conflict-of-interest forms, and relevant submissions to Companies House.
• Monitoring and mitigating financial risks while maintaining robust internal controls. Also manage credit control and ensure that payments are received on time.
• Ensure financial procedures, policies and reporting systems are updated as required and maintained thereafter.

Accounting

• Supervise and review accounting tasks and records processed by the bookkeeper and the Finance Manager.
• Ensure timely, up to date and accurate accounting practice including journal entries, accruals, phasing and reconciliation.
• Ensure accuracy of income and expenses allocation and coding, including deferred income and monthly reconciliations.
• Review and update coding structures and nominal coding, clearing accounts and reconciliations in collaboration with the CEO and finance colleagues.

Payments and Payroll

• Manage effectively payroll, tax and pension submissions, banking and associated procedures.   
• Ensure all payments are made, received and acknowledged in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
• Maintain up to date records of financial calculations regarding payments and fees for tutors, assessors and other stakeholders.

Contracts Management

• Ensure that operational, building, insurance and supplier contracts are up to date and renew them as required. Includes utility bills, IT and telephone.
• Prepare and issue employee contracts (working with the CEO/HR).

Support service delivery

• Calculate and prepare courses fees and other financial information for reviews and to support decision-making
• Liaise with students to offer and manage payment plans
• Ensure financial queries by colleagues, collaborators, students and practitioners are dealt with effectively and in a timely manner.
• Support the integration of financial and operational systems.

People Management

• Supervise, manage and support the Finance Manager and Bookkeeper, ensuring and supporting high performance and wellbeing.

Inter Mediate is a London-based peace-making charity supporting confidential negotiations in some of the world’s most challenging conflicts. Reporting to the Head of Finance, working closely with the Operations Director, and in close coordination with staff across IM, the key tasks of this role are to:

• Take a proactive and principal role in supporting Inter Mediate’s financial compliance;
• Support Inter Mediate to fulfil its accountability to funders;

Specific responsibilities

Finance

Working with the Head of Finance as required:

• Record and process a range of financial transactions accurately and efficiently to deadline in Sage 50 software (often in multiple currencies). Maintain financial records ensuring accuracy to facilitate internal and external audit processes;
• Take the lead in compiling, tracking and monitoring project budgets in close collaboration with operations and project teams;

• Implement and maintain financial policies and procedures;

Operations

Working with the Operations Director as required:

• Assist with researching and implementing operations systems, policies and procedures (as requested by the Operations Director;

For this role, we can offer flexibility around working from home if required. It is expected the role will need to work from their site base a few times a month and as required for key meetings. We are recruiting a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families in Brent. This is an amazing opportunity for someone with parenting experience to support new dads at a critical time in their parenting journey. The Dad Matters Coordinator will be passionate about supporting fathers to create strong secure bonds with their babies. You will have the compassion and skills to enable dads to have those difficult conversations, and talk about how they’re really feeling.

The Dad Matters Coordinator will deliver a range of universal and targeted interventions aimed at fathers in the First 1001 Days. You will support dads and other male carers with attachment and bonding, mental health and access to service. You will also work with professionals and perinatal services to ensure dads and male carers are engaged, supported and heard within clinical pathways. Additionally, you will help develop and run sessions with dads and will be at the forefront of growing our Dad Matters volunteering opportunities.
