As a Community Fundraiser (South) you will:

• Promote the charity’s pastoral and spiritual work within local communities.
• Develop strong relationships with parishes, schools, and diocesan networks to increase engagement with the charity’s mission.
• Inspire people to make donations and raise funds to support the charity projects, including the sale of charity items and organising fundraising events.
• Recruit and support volunteers, as well as manage fundraising groups and initiatives across the region.
• Manage relationships with high value and legacy donors, ensuring their continued support and engagement.

To be successful, you must have experience:

• Previous experience in community fundraising or a related field is beneficial.
• A strong network of contacts within the diocesan community, schools, or special interest groups is a plus.
• Exceptional communication skills, public speaking abilities, and strong organisational capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media are essential.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and take ownership of key projects, while also being a strong team player.

Our Youth and Play Workers will play a pivotal role in the Children, Young People and Families team, working as a core team of practitioners to ensure the smooth running of our programmes and services. Big Green Heart is looking for a trainer to help expand our practitioner base. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with teaching experience to use their professional skills in the charity sector in the vitally important area of mental health. Accredited practitioners may charge for their own practice, working with individuals or in partnership with schools, churches, and community projects. They will practice under license from Big Green Heart. 

The role of the trainer is to teach and train practitioners in the methodology of Big Green Heart and to bring individuals through to accreditation. This will be done regionally and online.

It is hoped that the trainer will continue to oversee the developing work of the practitioners in a mentoring role, either individually or in groups, whether in person or online. This will be an evolving role developed in partnership with the Founder/CEO.

Key Responsibilities

Hospitality & Wellbeing Support:

• Greet all guests, acting as the first point of contact between the team and external stakeholders visiting 1 Wharf Cottage, namely our clients, volunteers and partners.
• Prepare and serve teas, coffees, and refreshments to clients, volunteers and visitors, fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
•  Assist the operations and psychology team with daily administrative tasks, including managing scheduling meetings and client assessments / reviews.
• Assist in the set-up and facilitation of nature-based mental health group activities, providing support to the group leaders and facilitators (where required).
•  Support the team in ensuring a comfortable and supportive workspace.

Event Coordination: 

• Assist in coordinating and executing group sessions, meetings, events and wellness workshops as required.Support logistics, venue setup, and participant coordination for monthly, quarterly and annual events.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a Housing Support Worker to join our new Supported Housing Scheme in Lambeth, an LGBTQ+ supported housing service with six units for young people aged 18-21 years. The service is due to open in late May 2025 and is part of a three-year funded joint project with Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association and Lambeth Council. The role is part of the Services team and is supervised by the Supported Housing Manager. Other members of the team include another part time Housing Support Worker and a part-time Youth Engagement Coordinator.

About the Role

The Legal Officer will be an integral part of the UK Litigation team and will work closely with external legal teams to advance our cases and ensure coordination of legal actions in line with Reprieve’s strategic goals. They will be responsible for administration and maintenance of casefiles and key case management documents and assume certain day-to-day file management responsibilities. Length and Salary

This is a full-time role, on a one-year fixed term contract, with the possibility to extend, subject to funding. The annual salary is £42,193 per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

A full time Public Affairs Intern is required for the public health charity Action on Smoking and Health (ASH) for a set period of 6 months. 

ASH is a public health charity that works to eliminate the harm caused by tobacco. Smoking is the largest preventable cause of death and disease in the UK and accounts for half the difference in life expectancy between the richest and poorest in society. 

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• A strong academic record and relevant university degree/equivalent work experience 

• An interest in health policy

• A good understanding of the UK politics

• Strong written and verbal communication skills 

• Strong administrative and IT skills with a good attention to detail

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Corporate Partnerships Lead to join Look Ahead, a charitable housing association supporting around 4,000 people across London and the South East with various needs, including homelessness, mental health, learning disabilities, domestic abuse, and care leavers.

You will be experienced in establishing programmes, working independently and establishing corporate partnerships in charitable or non-profit organisations that do not necessarily have registered charity status.

What you'll do:

1. Partnership Development:
* Lead on the development of a new corporate partnerships programme for Look Ahead - researching, identifying, approaching, securing and activating a pipeline of new corporate partners
* Develop tailored proposals and partnership opportunities that align with Look Ahead's mission, vision, values and strategic objectives and meet needs of our services and people we support
* Work closely with Operations to identify corporate opportunities (e.g. to secure corporate funding for activity in a particular service, customer group or geographic location) and match and maximise potential corporate donors.

2. Partnership Management:
* Develop and implement partnership strategies that drive financial, in-kind and employee support (e.g. through challenge/community fundraising events) in support of Look Ahead's work
* Build, steward and nurture long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key corporate stakeholders, through a stewardship approach
* Lead the management of existing corporate partnerships, ensuring clear communication, tracking of deliverables, and maintaining a positive relationship with all stakeholders.
* Build on existing relationships developed through our corporate volunteering and social value activity, developing these into longer-term, higher-value partnerships

Essential:

* 3 years relevant experience in a similar role with proven track record of developing successful fundraising relationships with new corporate partners or new business development.
* Demonstratable previous success in achieving targets and raising five and six figure gifts.
* Experience of liaising with and managing high level supporters or customers with a solid understanding of the principles of excellent stewardship
* An entrepreneurial, proactive and delivery-focussed approach to your work, with drive and motivation towards achieving targets.
* Creative thinker with a solution-focused approach
* Financially and IT literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Demonstrable excellent communication skills - written, multimedia and face to face.
* Excellent attention to detail and good project and time management skills.
* Experience of adhering to GDPR legislation.

Desirable:
* Knowledge or experience of social value and Employee Social Governance (ESG) initiatives and how they align with the goals of housing associations is an advantage.

If successful you will be based at “The ARC Youth Club”, an estate based youth led centre with integrated music studio, kitchen, games and "chill-out" space. The ARC engages approximately 250 young people per year and plays a vital role in their welfare and development outside of school. You will deliver a range of activities e.g. cooking, arts & crafts, sports, trips, music, events etc. You will also offer support and guidance for local young people and enable them to develop life long skills while designing and running their own projects, forums etc. In school holidays you will be required to work an expected 28 hrs a week as we offer a full program of activities and free meals for young people
