Refugee Week is seeking a freelance Social Media Manager to lead the development and delivery of our social media presence in the lead-up to and during Refugee Week 2026. Working closely with the Refugee Week team, you will help shape and tell the story of Refugee Week over the year - inspiring people to take part, building our digital profile, and growing our online community.

This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organised, and confident in digital storytelling, with an interest in social change, arts and culture, and refugee rights.

Refugee Week is coordinated by Counterpoints Arts, a leading national organisation in the field of arts, migration, and cultural change. We are based in Hoxton, London, and work both nationally and internationally.

Key responsibilities:

Social Media Strategy & Management

• Develop and implement a clear social media strategy for Refugee Week
• Manage Refugee Week social media channels, including day-to-day posting, reshares, replies, and community engagement
• Generate creative content ideas and oversee year-round storytelling across platforms
• Grow our presence on underused or new channels
• Monitor performance and provide insights on reach, engagement, and growth

Content Creation

• Produce engaging assets (e.g. reels, graphics, promotional materials) for key moments such as the Refugee Week Conference
• Share stories that highlight Refugee Week’s impact, history, international presence, and ways to get involved
• Support with copywriting for posts, campaigns, and announcements
• Support with digital commissions e.g. engaging influencers in digital storytelling (Simple Acts countdown etc.)

Comms & Campaigns

• Contribute to Refugee Week’s wider communications strategy and campaigns.
• Manage paid ads to increase reach and engagement
• Help build the public profile of Refugee Week through digital storytelling

Evaluation

• Assist in the collation and reporting of evaluation data for Refugee Week 2026, helping to document and share the impact of the festival

Person Specification

Essential:

• Proven experience managing social media channels for an organisation, campaign, or project
• Strong understanding of digital engagement and content creation

The Health Content Editor is a key member of the Health Content Team. 

You’ll write, edit and review accessible, engaging and accurate health information in print and digital formats to help people with Parkinson’s live well and manage their condition. You’ll also have an opportunity to write content for our information and support magazine, The Parkinson.

What you’ll do:

• Develop evidence-based and accessible health content for print and digital channels, that follows the PIF Tick production process and is in line with the agreed production schedule.

• Use data tools and insights to produce, shape and optimise digital information content.

• Make sure health content effectively meets the target audience’s needs by involving users in development and evaluation, including people living with Parkinson's and healthcare professionals.

• Be responsible for a number of projects at any one time, ensuring they are completed in a reasonable timeframe.

• Manage, monitor and act on feedback received on our print and digital health information.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of developing, writing and editing accessible health information for a variety of audiences. 

• Knowledge of best practice in health information production and relevant standards, including PIF Tick.

• Experience of using a CMS and a working knowledge of SEO and content design principles.

With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within legacy marketing and have a strong understanding of direct marketing across a range of audiences. Community Alcohol Partnerships (CAP) is looking to engage the services of a results-oriented consultant with great people skills to set up CAP projects in high harm areas.

About Us

CAP sets up and supports local partnerships that aim to reduce alcohol harm in children and young people, improve their health and well-being and enhance their communities. Our mission is to create an alcohol-free childhood for all children and young people.

Role Overview

The successful applicant will have a track record of building effective partnerships, the people and communication skills to involve and engage a wide range of local stakeholders and the leadership and project management skills to support projects through each phase of their lifecycle including baseline evaluation, action plan delivery, post intervention evaluation and maintenance/sustainment. After a short familiarisation period the successful applicant will be expected to oversee fast-track development of new CAPs in priority areas and take responsibility for all aspects of their management with minimal supervision.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to forge effective public/private sector partnerships between statutory agencies, schools, youth charities and retailers following the CAP model and evaluation framework. The successful applicant may come from a police, public health, education, local authority or other relevant background.

Key Responsibilities

· Proactively identify opportunities for new CAPs and facilitate set up of new CAPs in priority areas.

· Ensure that all new CAP projects carry out appropriate and timely interventions and evaluate all activity in line with the CAP evaluation toolkit – including a baseline and post intervention evaluation.

· Raise the profile of CAPs in the North East of England and ensure that their impact is recognised by key stakeholders.

Specific duties to include the following:

o Represent CAP at all operational meetings.

Skills, attributes and experience

• Essential to the role will be the ability to persuade key stakeholders at local and national level of the need to address underage drinking problems and to facilitate effective and dynamic local partnerships involving any/all of the following sectors: local authorities, education, child protection, social services, public health, police, retailers and licensing.
• Excellent organisational and sound project management skills.

Remuneration: Consultancy fee of £320 per day depending on experience. We are looking for an outstanding individual to join our Development and Alumni Relations team to help guide and deliver ourregular giving and stewardship programmes. The ideal candidate will have experience of running successful major fundraising appeals to large audiences. They will have the ability to draft persuasive and accurate copy to support both fundraising and stewardship literature. They will be highly motivated and creative, driving new initiatives to boost participation, increase overall giving, while also increasing retention of donors through an outstanding, tailored stewardship programme. They will be a team-player who can work autonomously when required, but can work collaboratively, and will support other team members with aspects of their work.

The Development and Alumni Relations Office leads the process of generating long-term and consistent voluntary income for Merchant Taylors’ School, and forrunning a comprehensive alumni and parental relations programme.

The Development Manager (Fundraising and Stewardship) will be responsible for planning, managing and having an input to the strategy for a regular giving programme at Merchant Taylors’ School, with a focus on increasing the participation (giving rates) of both our alumni and parental constituencies, as well as donor retention through planning and executing a stewardship programme for benefactors of all levels. About Us

Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is embarking on an ambitious five-year strategy to become a membership-first organisation, empowering thousands of animal advocates to join us in protecting animals from harm. 

As part of this transformation, we’re seeking a compassionate, organised, and proactive Membership Services Officer to be the first point of contact for our members and supporters, ensuring every interaction is warm, helpful, and leaves people feeling valued.

About the Role

This is a key supporter-facing role where you will:

• Be the friendly first point of contact for members and prospective members via phone, email, and other channels.

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, including proactively reaching out to members to address cancellations, encourage upgrades, or convert cash supporters into ongoing members.

• Maintain accurate supporter data, preferences, and interactions in Salesforce CRM.

• Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Officer, Data & CRM Officer, and Gifts in Wills Officer to nurture relationships and move supporters through their journey, ensuring that every member feels appreciated and connected to our mission.

• Support the Marketing and Communications team with occasional wider projects, such as campaigns, virtual or in-person events, or member engagement initiatives.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Compassionate and member-focused, with a genuine desire to make every interaction count.

• Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate records.

• Confident and professional on the phone and in written communication.

• Comfortable with outbound calling — experience in telephone fundraising or supporter upgrade calling is desirable.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

• Comfortable with technology, ideally with some experience using CRMs (Salesforce experience is a bonus).

• Experienced in supporter care, customer service, or a similar role (desirable but not essential).

• Aligned with AWIP’s mission, with a strong commitment to animal welfare and, ideally, a cruelty-free lifestyle.

• Able to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.

Key Details

• Hours: 16 hours per week, Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

• Salary: £11,885.71 pro-rata (£26,000 FTE)

• Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract, with potential for a permanent role

• Location: Remote (must be based in the UK)

• Additional hours: May be available for outbound campaigns, depending on business needs
