About Let Me Know (LMK)
Good relationships shape our health and happiness, yet we are taught so little about them. LMK (Let Me Know) is on a mission to change that. We are a young and thriving charity providing education about healthy and unhealthy behaviours so that young people have the knowledge and skills to avoid abuse and thrive in their relationships. We work in schools, community organisations and workplaces across London.
LMK is growing at pace and we are ambitious in our plans for the future. We’ve already engaged 21,000 young people and professionals in our workshops in our first five years and we want to reach 18,000 young people over the next two years. We will achieve this by engaging new schools, community groups and workplaces in our offer, whilst also continuing to provide a high-quality service to those who have already experienced LMK workshops.

We have:
✔ A clear plan for our workshop delivery over the next three years, and a fundraising plan to support it
✔ An engaged leadership team and Board of Trustees
✔ Evidenced outcomes, rich data/statistics and compelling case studies
✔ Diversity and strong social purpose
✔ A new organisational strategy that sets our vision from 2024-2027

Coordinating volunteers will be essential, particularly in managing and expanding our cargo bike fleet for surplus food collection and redistribution. You will also explore opportunities to monetise these sustainable transport services. To further engage the community, you will organise and host quarterly workshops on reducing food waste and eating on a budget.

Sustainable Food Initiatives & Logistics
- Manage and expand the cargo bike food redistribution programme, ensuring effective logistics, safety, insurance, and maintenance.
- Champion environmental sustainability, embedding low-waste, low-carbon practices across all food services.
- Organise and deliver quarterly workshops on food waste reduction and eating on a budget.
Volunteer Leadership & Team Management
- In partnership with the Volunteer Manager, recruit, train, and support volunteers across the Foodbank, Food Pantry, café, warm meals, and cargo bike services.
- Work with colleagues to develop food collection rotas, provide training (food safety, customer care), and ensure smooth operations across all food-related services.
- Foster an inclusive, positive volunteer culture, ensuring volunteers feel valued and engaged.
Compliance, Monitoring & Resource Management
- Ensure compliance with Food Hygiene, Health & Safety, and Environmental Standards, maintaining accurate records and certifications.
- Manage budgets effectively, ensuring value for money and accurate reporting.
Innovation & Development
- Work with colleagues to explore and develop revenue opportunities linked to sustainable food and transport initiatives (e.g., monetising cargo bike deliveries).
- Together with partners and colleagues, explore the implementation of employment focussed opportunities for residents, for example via deliveries on the cargo bikes.
Project Awareness & Marketing
- Work with our marketing team to introduce creative community campaigns (e.g., Reverse Advent, seasonal drives, sponsorships) to encourage donations of both food and direct funds.
- Promote the projects with local partners, for example working with local schools to maximise harvest deliveries and raise the profile of the project.

Welcome to Retail with a difference
Imagine a retail career where every sale, every display, and every customer interaction directly supports compassionate care for those who need it most. At Princess Alice Hospice, our shops are more than just retail spaces—they’re community hubs that help fund vital hospice services.
With 40 high street locations, we combine professional retail standards with a heartfelt mission. As our Retail Area Manager, you’ll be the face of our values on the high street—leading teams, driving performance, and making a real difference every single day.
About the role:
As a Retail Area Manager, you’ll take full ownership of a diverse portfolio of shops, leading and supporting teams made up of both paid staff and volunteers.

You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the Hospice to support day-to-day operations and contribute to the strategic development of our retail offering. This is a dynamic role that requires daily travel between shops and occasional weekend work, aligned with the needs of the business. A current driving licence (with no more than six penalty points) is essential.
About You:
This role is ideal for a confident and experienced Area Manager, preferably with a background in charity retail, though we warmly welcome applicants from across the retail (particularly fashion) and service industry with transferable skills.
You’ll be a natural leader with proven people management experience, excellent communication skills, and strong IT competence.
Self-motivated and solution-focused, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where juggling multiple priorities is the norm. Your ability to build relationships at all levels, handle conflict constructively, and stay organised and flexible will be key to your success in this role.
As well as our competitive salary package and the opportunity to join an organisation which places patients at the heart of what we do, we also offer a range of great benefits, which include:
