Some of the key responsibilities would include:  

• Lead on brand marketing activities and providing a customer perspective for colleagues across the organisation’s content development and overall messaging.

• Working closely with the head of department on engagement and visibility plans. 

• Create content marketing strategies for social media, newsletters alongside delivering campaigns.

• Managing social media channels to connect with the organisation’s brand and in turn, increase both reach and engagement. 

• Using analytics and data (both online and customer/school data) to make pro-active suggestions to the senior leadership team for approaches which will increase the impact of their brand marketing and communications.

• Working closely with the product marketing team to ensure brand marketing and product marketing are aligned and effectively scheduled. 

• Co-ordinating the organisation’s offering at events (virtual and in-person), including logistics, content preparation, promotion, staffing, budgeting and admin as required. 

Some of the ideal experience required for this role would include: 

• Working within the education sector or public sector. 

• Experience with product marketing and having senior marketing experience across a range of channels. 

• Strong project management skills. 

• Strong stakeholder management experience, having the ability to adapt to different audiences.

• Basic understanding of market research techniques. 

 
This is a fully remote role, with occasional travel into their West London office.

The Sociological Review Foundation is seeking its first Development Manager to join its team. Duties

The role will involve a combination of stewardship and new business, helping us to secure support from more trusts, foundations and businesses who share our passion for transforming the lives of children in the communities with whom we work.

Key duties will be to:

• Prospect and research potential grantmakers and businesses who share our strategic objectives
• Take a relationships-based approach wherever possible, establishing warm relationships between partners and Chance for Childhood
• Provide input to the 2025-2030 fundraising strategy, using your experience and knowledge of the fundraising landscape to help us devise an ambitious but sustainable plan to safeguard our work for the next five years
• Maintain a strong pipeline of funding opportunities
• Draft compelling, creative and persuasive funding proposals
• Secure four, five and six figure grants from trusts and foundations
• Manage a small portfolio of trusts and corporate partners, maintaining an accurate calendar of reporting and stewardship expectations
• Write and submit accurate reports to funders’ deadlines
• Beyond meeting formal reporting requirements, provide outstanding informal stewardship to funders, developing strong relationships and increasing the chances of repeat funding
• Communicate skilfully across borders with our brilliant in-country programmes team to maintain a flow of information, stories and data for fundraising and reporting
• Accurately record communications using our fundraising CRM (Beacon) and enable reporting on expected income
• Work effectively within our small, supportive and mighty fundraising and marketing team to ensure strong dissemination of ideas, and fidelity to our organisational brand in communications
• Stay well informed of existing and new fundraising legislation and adhere to the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, the Chartered Institute of Fundraising best practice as well as relevant fundraising and UK GDPR requirements

Person specification:

A highly organised, detail-oriented self-starter who engenders credibility and trust with stakeholders, you will have good working knowledge of corporate and trusts and foundations fundraising, and very strong written and verbal communication skills.

To be the right fit for this role, you do not need to have a degree. You do not need experience in international development fundraising, although this would be an advantage.

Job purpose:

Main responsibilities: 

In collaboration with senior staff and the Rewilding Manager you will be responsible for leading and project managing the development and delivery of a plan to expand landscape scale rewilding across Britain, including:

• Providing support and advice to targeted existing larger scale rewilding initiatives. 

• Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders — including landowners and managers - in key potential rewilding landscapes and influencing them to integrate rewilding into their management plans.

• Researching the potential for rewilding — including its opportunities, cost and benefits and financial viability - in key areas and presenting this in a compelling way.

• Inspiring, influencing and supporting new initiatives and partnerships focused on upscaling rewilding across larger landscapes and a diverse range of ownership and management types — community-led and multi-stakeholder partnerships, private, public, corporate and NGO landowners, commoners, crofters etc.

• Working with the Rewilding Manager to ensure that our annual Challenge Fund award acts to catalyse and enable the development of large-scale 'exemplar' rewilding initiatives.

• Liaising with the Rewilding Manager to encourage new initiatives to join and engage in the Rewilding Network.

• Representing Rewilding Britain to external stakeholders on various events, platforms and network groups.

• Delivering effective systems and processes for tracking, monitoring and reporting on progress.

• Working closely with the Rewilding Director and Rewilding Manager to ensure we best target resources. 

Skills, experience and behaviours:

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This is a full-time role at 35 hours per week, but we're open to applications from those looking to work 28 hours or more per week.

The salary is £40k - £48k per annum (depending on relevant experience).

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over five years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

We are a virtual team who work from home and/or co-working spaces. We'll support you to achieve a suitable virtual working environment. Some meetings are held face to face across Britain, so a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is desirable.

OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for all aspects of tenancy management which includes but is not limited to, signing up new residents, providing licensing agreements, inductions, and occupancy management.
• Assist the management team in managing rent/charge collections, arrears, voids, and issuing warnings as necessary.
• Carry out regular occupancy checks.
• Ensure the accommodation in which residents live is clean and maintained to a high standard.
• Develop, participate in, and encourage residents/participants to participate in the running and development of various projects, enterprises, and activities.

Programme Manager - Asia-Pacific and Americas Team

The Programme Manager will play a critical role providing surge support for the Asia-Pacific and Americas programme management team, with a particular focus on regional Grant-in-Aid ‘uplift’ programming.

This is a varied and exciting position. As Trusts and Philanthropy Fundraising Manager, you will contribute to the development and implementation of plans to grow income from trusts, major donors and statutory funders by developing excellent written proposals, applications and reports. You will deliver exemplar stewardship to donors which responds to their individual needs and inspires continued support, mostly through written and telephone communications but also includes participation in events, visits and meetings. You will use fundraising research resources to carry out research to identify and cultivate prospective funders. • A successful track record in trusts fundraising including developing multi-year proposals for 5 - 6 figure gifts, and ideally experience in successfully securing and manging national lottery grant awards.
