English PEN is the founding centre of PEN International, a worldwide writers’ association with over 130 centres in more than 90 countries. • Create and promote surveys 

• Support the Care Worker Advisory Board and Champions Board

Role Requirements

The Children’s Trust is the UK’s leading charity for children with acquired brain injury, providing expert rehabilitation, education, therapy, and care at our national specialist centre in Tadworth, and to children and their families across the UK, via our Brain Injury Community Service.

Boasting a beautiful 24-acre site in Surrey, we are located just outside of London, close to the M25 (accessible via Junction 8, A217 to Tadworth) and easily accessible via National Rail, by way of: Clapham Junction, Sutton, and Epsom.

Rehabilitation of Offenders

Many roles at The Children’s Trust are exempt from the provisions of Section 4 (2) of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, by virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013 and 2020) and as such, are subject to an Enhanced DBS check. Online Searches

In accordance with statutory safeguarding and child protection guidance, online searches will be conducted for shortlisted candidates before interview. The online searches will be conducted by a person who is independent of the interview and selection process and will focus on relevant information returned via searches of the candidate’s name (and variations thereof). Grade:                   Point 31-34 £34,696- £37,489 (a London Allowance will be applied to employees who live in London, plus 6% employer’s pension, subject to a minimum 2% contribution by the employee)

About the role: 

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Digital Learning Content Specialist to join our Sector Support team. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and managing engaging digital learning experiences through our Learning Management System (LMS). You will be responsible for creating online learning content and the day-to-day administration of the LMS.

About you: 

• Proven experience working with Learning Management Systems (administration, user management, content upload) 
• Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, H5P) and multimedia content creation 
• Experience with SCORM, xAPI (Tin Can API), or other e-learning standards 
• Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory, and UX principles for digital learning design 
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design practices 
• Commitment to meaningful anti-discriminatory practice, and equity, diversity and inclusion 
• Demonstrate a commitment to - and understanding of - the values, aims and objectives of Respect

The Alderley Edge and Knutsford Circuit comprises five churches in Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Mobberley, Plumley and Mottram St Andrew

A key member of the Circuit Leadership Team (CLT), the prime responsibilities are to manage the Church properties within the circuit; provide financial support and reporting services appropriate to each Church and to manage and develop circuit communications. Additionally, the role will provide administrative and compliance support to the Circuit ministry team and Circuit Leadership team.

As a key member of the CLT, the job holder will play a full part in the development of the Circuit’s mission and ministry. Reporting to the Superintendent Minister, the role is full time, with flexibility over the pattern of hours worked.

Applicants will have experience of property management and finance and possess excellent communication skills.

As Policy Manager you will lead Scope’s policy work on tackling the extra costs of disability and reducing the Disability Employment Gap. Working closely with colleagues across the Policy, Research and Influencing team and the wider organisation, you will play a key role in delivering bold policy solutions that help create an equal future for disabled people, in line with Scope’s long-term strategy. You will provide strategic policy leadership, offering expert advice and insight. As the manager for our policy work, you will represent Scope externally and build influential relationships to drive lasting change.

• Have detailed knowledge and understanding of how Whitehall works, and you’ll know how to create change.
• Ideally, have experience of working in a large organisation, and you will understand the need for a collaborative approach that works for different audiences.  
• Have strong line management experience.
• Be passionate about disability equality and understand the challenges disabled people face. Experience of working with people from marginalised backgrounds would be another advantage.
