Since its inception in 2020, SBP has grown rapidly, establishing an exciting and evolving portfolio of nature recovery projects across Scotland. Following the recent appointment of our first Chief Executive Officer, we are now seeking to recruit a new Chair of Trustees who can provide leadership and stability through a period of further change, and work very closely with the CEO and the rest of the Board.
The Chair will hold the Board and Executive Team to account for the charity’s mission and vision, providing inclusive leadership and ensuring collective ownership and effective governance. The Chair will support the CEO and the rest of the Management Team as appropriate, to achieve agreed objectives. They will also develop the knowledge and capability of the Board, and will appraise the CEO’s performance on an annual basis. In partnership with the CEO and others, they will act as an ambassador for rewilding and a key public face and spokesperson for SBP.
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience and understanding of the following:
● Operating at a senior level within an organisation, ideally working with or as part of a Board of Trustees/Directors
● Strong understanding of charity governance, and overall legal compliance
● Accomplished strategic thinking and direction, and strong leadership skills, including the ability to bring people together to ensure the charity has maximum impact
● Sound financial management expertise and a broad understanding of charity finances to ensure organisational health and sustainability
● Strong understanding of risk management and mitigations, and mediation and conflict resolution
● Exceptional public speaking skills for event moderation
● Positive engagement with internal and external stakeholders
● Profiling and networking for advocacy and fundraising Previous experience in the rewilding and broader environmental sector is not essential.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Working closely with the Grants Managers and under the Head of Fundraising and other members of the senior Volunteer Grant Team, the Grants Coordinator (Unpaid Volunteer) will research, write grants, maintain, and coordinate fundraising efforts for AHO, with a target of a £5m yearly income by the end of 2030.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The role of Grants Coordinator (Unpaid Volunteer) will research, maintain and coordinate
- Research, write and manage a pipeline of trusts and foundations, aid grants and public sector tenders and contracts that offer unrestricted and programmatic funding.
- Initiate new and manage existing relationships with trusts and other grant-making bodies through emails, calls, meetings, and attendance at events.
- Organise and lead regular fundraising meetings with the Head of Fundraising and the senior team.
- Write and lead on applications, bringing together information and expertise from colleagues as necessary.
- Lead and manage the reporting process to existing funders, bringing together input from colleagues as necessary.
- Attend and assist with public-facing events organised by AHO or others when necessary.
- Work with the senior team to write compelling concept notes and presentations for new areas of work.

We are searching for a enthusiastic volunteer to become thd Leeds chapter's Social Media Officer. The primary role is to ensure the smooth every day running of the social media accounts. This involves responding to messages (even if it’s just sign posting) and replying to comments. They should try to ensure growth of the social media account including Facebook and Instagram with the potential of Twitter. They should make use of the Facebook groups to create an engaging atmosphere for members and chase lead volunteers to ensure they post on the page and group promptly following events. After each event they should make posts following up on it. Finally, they will liaise with photographers and assist with designing and running the website

We are looking for a volunteer Fundraising Lead to play a significant role in shaping a fundraising strategy, help raise awareness of Bounds Green Food Bank (BGFB) and generate income through events, projects and fundraising activities.
We currently raise money through grants, individual donations and community projects. We would like to broaden our fundraising initiatives and are looking for someone to raise funds, meet fundraising targets, raise our profile with key funding partners, and inspire relevant groups to support us.
About Bounds Green Food Bank:
Open since June 2020, we serve over 1,500 children and adults in the community. We are committed to improving lives by providing food and essential household items and helping alleviate household food insecurity. We strive to promote social inclusion by supporting people and families in crisis situations and needing assistance.
The role:

Work with the Board of Trustees to agree a fundraising strategy, including setting annual fundraising targets

Help to develop a fundraising team

Identify income-generating opportunities and develop projects

Build, develop and maintain relationships to secure funding

Provide guidance to other teams that support fundraising initiatives e.g. the Grants Writing Team, Events Team and the Communication Team

Purpose of Role
The Communications Officer will play a key role in ensuring effective internal and external communication across Emerge Worldwide. This role will be responsible for producing high-quality newsletters, managing communication with partners, collaborators, influencers, and associates, maintaining organisational directories, and supporting the flow of information across departments. The Communications Officer will also manage calendars, support administrative needs, and liaise with the social media team to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment.
This position requires excellent organisational, IT, and communication skills, alongside a proactive approach to supporting the charity’s mission and daily operations.
Role Description - What will I be doing?
Communications & Engagement
- Draft, design, and distribute newsletters and organisational updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain effective communication with partners, collaborators, influencers, and associates.
- Identify and manage key contacts and opportunities for engagement.
- Share key information across internal departments and teams to improve collaboration.
- Work with departments to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
- Support the development of communication strategies to raise Emerge Worldwide’s profile.
Administration & Coordination
- Respond to general email enquiries and redirect them appropriately.
- Manage shared drives, organisational directories, and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Coordinate and set up meetings, including preparing agendas and taking minutes.
- Support calendar management for the organisation, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and communication materials.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth organisational communication flow.
- Work within agreed budgets and managing resources effectively.
Technical & IT
- Use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting, communication, and presentations.
- Support the use of Mailchimp or other IT software for mass communications.
- Maintain mailing lists, contact directories, and subscription platforms.
