This position is part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) funded by Innovate UK, aimed at driving impactful collaboration between academic expertise and industry. This 2-year KTP project reflects Reall’s ongoing investment in academic collaboration and commercial development. It will use the development of specialist gender- and climate-focussed knowledge to support Reall’s shift from reliance on a single funding source to a more diverse income model, including expansion of Reall’s consultancy services. The Associate will play a crucial role in this transformation by working with Reall and University of Warwick staff to: 

• Lead the integration of gender and climate innovations and best practices into Reall’s housing work. 

• Lead the development of frameworks to evaluate gender and climate impacts. 

• Lead the production of thought leadership materials to enhance Reall’s commercial reach and elevate its influence and standing within the sector. 

• Support the positioning of affordable housing as a global solution to gender and climate challenges, and Reall’s role within this. 

• Support the creation of a strategic business development plan that leverages climate and gender expertise to rapidly increase Reall’s grant and consultancy contract income streams 

• Establishing methods to assess and demonstrate the impact of housing programmes.

The KTP Associate will bring specialist knowledge and skills to investigate and integrate gender and climate considerations into affordable housing strategies. We are looking for a motivated and innovative individual, with the ability to apply academic insights to real-world challenges, and the potential to become a sector leader with the capacity to lead this project. 

Key attributes and skills of the ideal candidate include: 

• Expertise in gender studies, climate studies, international development, housing or a related field, with a strong understanding of these issues in global south contexts. We are especially interested in candidates with prior research or policy experience in international development and housing, and its intersections with climate and gender. 

• Analytical skills to design and evaluate frameworks that measure gender and climate impacts within housing projects. 

• Research experience, collaborating with academic researchers and development practitioners, with a proven track record of producing research that drives impact.

• Business development experience, managing or supporting business development activities (research grants or consultancy contracts), or working within the consultancy space.

Primarily based within Reall and its Coventry offices, you will collaborate with a dynamic team of Reall staff and University of Warwick academics to embed new gender and climate knowledge across the organisation’s operations and partnerships. This will be achieved through staff training, collaborative working, and the development of impactful resources. University of Warwick’s Politics and International Studies (PAIS) and Global Sustainable Development (GSD) departments will offer specialized academic support and guidance to ensure Reall remains a forward-thinking leader in affordable, sustainable housing, underpinned by world-class research. UKRI will simultaneously facilitate professional development through mentoring and cohort support with other KTP associates.

Greater Together Manchester (GTM) is a visionary local charity which seeks mobilise communities across Greater Manchester, supporting churches and grassroots community leaders to create and develop social justice projects, to take on leadership roles and to engage with decision makers in order to tackle chronic issues of deprivation and disadvantage in their neighbourhoods. Purpose of the post

To encourage the development of local churches’ response to poverty and social justice across the Diocese of Manchester, with a focus on developing sustainable projects that look to address the root causes of poverty.

To identify and link with existing community groups working on issues relating to poverty and social justice.

To help parishes work together with other sectors and stakeholders, encouraging collaboration and partnerships.

To encourage a movement for change, encouraging churches to engage with practical action, advocacy and systems change.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Development and Delivery

• Work with the CEO of Greater Together Manchester to develop a work plan for engaging with existing parish based social justice projects and initiatives, with a focus on shifting from crisis response to prevention.
• Provide a range of development support to new projects and initiatives.
• Be the contact person for parishes seeking advice and support on addressing issues of social justice.
• Keep up to date with the work of national, regional and local organisations and charities that work in this space, as well as keeping up to date with government policies, initiatives and communicating these effectively to parishes and communities.

Revitalisation and Promotion of Church-Based Social Justice Work

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Business Support Manager to support the delivery of our new five year Strategic Plan.

This exciting new role will act as the bridge between our Operations and Central Services. It's a unique opportunity to shape how these functions work together to achieve our organisational goals more effectively. As this is a newly created function as part of our Transformation Programme, launched in June 2024, this role offers a high degree of autonomy and the opportunity to shape how this role develops.

This role will lead the Business Support function, working closely with the Operations Director team to ensure the smooth running of this UK wide operations function. You will oversee the provision and ongoing development of support services to enable TCV Operations teams throughout the organisation to focus on the core elements of operational delivery and development. The role will be responsible for looking for ongoing improvements in efficiencies and effectiveness, supporting innovation whilst balancing national consistency and adapting to local needs.

There is flexibility around the location of this role - you can be homebased or office based with some national/UK-wide travel. Our Head Office is in Doncaster.

Role Purpose

Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our high value fundraising.

As Philanthropy Manager you will be responsible for growing income from major donors and Trusts and Foundations through excellent donor stewardship. Leading a team of committed Trust fundraisers, you will focus on identifying prospective individual donors and foundations and develop lasting relationships with them. You will also support the management of relationships with existing donors, ensuring all donors have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.

Main Responsibilities

Leadership

• To lead and inspire the Philanthropy team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives.
• Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles.

Philanthropy Fundraising

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, ensuring effective solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up to secure significant contributions (six-figure gifts).
• Build and maintain a portfolio of Trust & Grants supporters. Responsible for researching, approaching and developing compelling applications with a focus on ensuring Trusts & Grants provide a long-term, diverse and sustainable income stream.

• Write and design a compelling case for support that is tailored to our High Value audiences.

• Produce regular reports on fundraising activity, analysing performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement and growth.

The Programme Manager at Western Forest will oversee the delivery of multiple projects within the woodland creation and restoration programme, working closely with Project Managers/leads and the Woodland and Nature Recovery Manager. This role will ensure that all programmes are delivered on time, within scope, and in alignment with the funding requirements and objectives. The Programme Manager will be responsible for monitoring progress, managing reporting to key stakeholders such as Defra and National Forest Company (NFC), and ensuring the quality of the projects. This role is responsible for delivering all engagement activity across our Arts and culture, Community and citizenship, Environment and resources and Governance and public provision universal themes.

Programme Development and Delivery

• With oversight from the Engagement Director, and working with members of the Advisory Council to develop the focus and goals of a three-year Fellowship programme within our Governance and Public Provision universal theme through a process of desk-based research and consultation workshops

• Working with the Head of Fellowship to design a support package for applicants into the programme
• With oversight from the Engagement Director, creating and facilitating a Working Group of Fellows, partners and Council members to support the cohort of Fellows awarded within this programme. About the Service

Specialist Family Support worker role delivers additional service and adds value to our accommodation service provision across Islington, Haringey and Enfield. Project delivers internally developed programme called STAR (Supporting Trauma Awareness and Resilience) to mothers, children and young people in their respective groups through out the week. Programme provides safe and confidential space to unpack experiences of trauma and abuse while developing new strategies, build resilience and healing through growing hearts and minds with the aim to strengthens relationships between mother and children after experiences of abuse.

About the Role

Main part of the role is delivering STAR programme to mother and children in their respective groups as well as planning meaningful activities and trips during half term times. Role is delivered in person through co-location in all three Haringey safe accommodations. Mother’s programme is delivered twice per week during day time while children component of the programme is delivered weekly in the afternoons between 3:45pm-5:30pm in each house. This role provides holistic support through ongoing feedback collection and identifications of important themes and topic which are developed further to best support our families as well as developing meaningful partnerships with community networks.

About the role

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

We are looking for a Domestic Housing Manager (Floating Support) 

Salary: £33,000 - £39,000

Location: Hammersmith

Contract: Permanent

Hours p/w 35 hours (up to 2 days WFH)

About the role:

You will be working for Advance London service as an experienced Domestic Housing Manager, responsible for overseeing the delivery of the London service. You will lead and manage the LWHSP project and the co-located IDVAs,

Being responsible for line managing and performance managing Regional Managers and project staff within the post holder’s responsibility, including annual appraisals and supervision.

Supporting Regional Managers to recruit, train and develop a team of competent and highly skilled IDVAs to provide a consistently high-quality service to women. Supporting IDVAs to ensure that Advance’s values, policies and procedures are embedded into service delivery.

Overseeing the management of caseloads and casework to a high-quality standard and monitoring the performance of your team, offering continuous coaching and feedback to ensure that Advance meets the specific KPIs and outcome measures for the contract, taking immediate action to manage poor performance as necessary.

About You:

To be successful as the Domestic Housing Manager you will need the below experience and skills:

You will bring your management experience of providing services to women experiencing Domestic Violence and Abuse including VAWG. With a significant experience of managing, developing and leading teams across a geographically dispersed region and remotely, including harnessing the strengths and potential of staff at all levels, building a strong team culture and maintaining staff motivation, particularly through periods of change. You will have substantial delivery of collaborative working with external agencies, stakeholders, subcontracted partners and extensive management of frontline workers
