We’re looking for a MEAL specialist who is, at heart, a peacebuilder. You’ll deputise for the Regional Director as needed, and work collaboratively as a key part of the Regional Leadership Team to shape the strategic direction of Concordis’ future work across the Central African region.
As Regional Head of MEAL, your work will go above and beyond reporting to the donor on logframe outputs and outcomes to the donor, as important as those are. With your extensive peacebuilding experience, you’ll work with the team to develop and implement sophisticated metrics for measuring these changes over time. You’ll feed this information back into programme delivery, to ensure programmes remain accountable to the wider population and adapt to the rapidly changing and fragile contexts in which we work.
You’ll also use your flair for writing and your publishing skills to produce more informal news items, telling stories of the impact of our work, and publicising the recommendations that come from dialogues we facilitate. This will help us amplify voices that are often ignored by decision makers, leading to evidence-based policy making.
Role Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the programme’s monitoring and evaluation systems
Develop and oversee the systems to monitor and evaluate activities and their impact
Evaluate and enhance existing data collection tools used during previous monitoring exercises
Evaluate and enhance existing metrics to measure attitudinal and behavioural change resulting from programme activities.
Design the implementation plan to monitor and evaluate programme delivery.
Contribute to the development of Concordis’ peacebuilding methodology, policy, strategy and monitoring and evaluation.
Responsible for programme monitoring and evaluation
Ensure the programme adapts and evolves to meet the needs identified, remaining accountable to communities affected by conflict.
Monitor against performance indicators to check that the project is delivering as planned. Identify issues and agree action plans to address.
Monitor against the Theory of Change and ensure the programme is achieving the intended impact. If not, identify what needs to change and how to create that change.
Capture learning and identify what worked, what didn’t work and what we’d do differently next time.
Responsible for producing timely internal and external reports
Lead the MEAL team to produce monthly and bi-annual donor reports on all regional programme activities.
Generate clear, professional and visually attractive reports that explain the impact of our work and the recommendations from our dialogues.
Work with the Communications team producing informal news items, telling the story of the impact of our work and publicising the recommendations that come from dialogues facilitated by Concordis.
Create a culture of accountability and learning across the Regional Team
Lead on ensuring staff across the programme understand the role of MEAL in their work and have the skills to operate the required systems and capture the data.
Deliver training and coaching on our approach to MEAL, techniques and tools to the wider team.
Leadership responsibility in the Regional Team
Deputise for the Central African Regional Director in their absence.
As part of the regional Senior Leadership Team oversee the work and staff teams in the regional hubs in CAR, Cameroon, Chad and Sudan.

The Role
The Operations Manager's role is critical to the charity's long-term sustainability and is pivotal in ensuring that we remain relevant and necessary.
This is an internally focused role in our service delivery, covering clients' and volunteers' journeys. You will be part of the management team, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our central team's support to our network of branches.
We seek someone passionate about providing a quality service to everyone and who is not afraid to drive change and improvement. Experience in being part of a team delivering a change programme that involves volunteers is essential. Terms & Conditions
Place of work: Fully remote, with occasional 2/3 nights away for year-round events.

Example of responsibilities:

The Role
The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.
Your main duties and responsibilities include:

The successful candidate will have previous experience of managing high level relationships and a track record of securing high value (5 and 6 figure) donations or new business. You will have outstanding interpersonal skills and be a confident communicator and able to build trusted relationships swiftly. As this is still a new role, in a relatively young charity, your ideas will help shape this work and you will play a crucial part in driving the growth and sustainability of our fundraising in the UK.
You might have existing experience working with high-value donors, however we also welcome applications from candidates who have transferable experience from other areas - for example a sales or account management background.
Key Responsibilities (see attached job description for full list)

Proactively research, identify, and cultivate a list of new potential donors (high-net-worth individuals), building a pipeline of people to approach for support.

Build and strengthen relationships with both existing and new supporters - developing and personally managing and inspiring a portfolio of individual donors and prospects, soliciting 5 and 6-figure gifts.

Lead a programme of relevant cultivation and networking events, including receptions and lunches, creating engaging opportunities for donors to increase their giving to a higher level.

Working Arrangements and Travel Requirements
Rainforest Trust UK staff work remotely and you will be expected to work primarily from home with an excellent internet connection. You may be based anywhere in the UK but you will be expected to work from a shared team space in London once a month, and your donor meetings/events are most likely to take place there.
The postholder will be required to host networking events and attend some online meetings with our partners in the U.S so some (early) evening working is required. We are also flexible as to how many hours this postholder works, and will consider a 3-5 day per week arrangement, depending on experience.

A Charity that supports young people are recruiting for a Financial Planning Business Analyst on an initial 9-month contract to support the implementation of a new budgeting and forecasting software tool. The postholder will be working extremely closely with the Finance Director, Finance Business Partners, and system teams to understand budgeting and data requirements.
Your duties will include:
- Lead on the delivery of selecting and implementing a new budgeting and forecasting tool

- Be main contact for the implementation, testing, support and training for the new solution

The Role
The foundation is a registered charity which exists to improve the quality of life of people (children, young people and adults) with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges and the families who support them.
We are currently looking for a Co-production & Engagement Lead to deliver a 3-year project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Working closely with a small friendly staff team, and 3 regional family carers (specifically employed for this project), you will be responsible for developing 3 regional networks across England, sharing best practice locally and nationally, linking with the Challenging Behaviour – National Strategy Group, and ensuring co-production and family carer engagement is promoted and embedded as best practice.
About You
You will have up to date and relevant knowledge and/or experience of children’s and/or adult policy and practices (learning disabilities) across health, education and social care and be fully committed to working in co-production and supporting family carers to fully engage as partners in the process to achieve the best outcomes.
A proven project manager, who thinks strategically and has the ability to work with a range of stakeholders across multiple sites, You will need to be highly organised, skilled at project management, knowledgeable about current policy and practices, and a confident communicator adept at influencing a wide range of stakeholders.

We need an events manager who is adept at managing projects and events, working with our fundraisers and encouraging our supporters to get involved in our events such as our annual trek, the prestigious Care Sector Ball, and all the other events we’re involved in. The right person will have the confidence and persistence it takes to persuade, cajole, prod and encourage fundraisers to do as much as they can to raise funds for us. You need to be proficient at managing the admin that goes with events, including using fundraising platforms such as Just Giving and Enthuse to engage with fundraisers and provide regular reports on the income raised. We will also need you to organize hotel, travel, conference arrangements for the team.
You must be based in England, to help us keep travel costs down as much as possible. The role is home based, with travel to fundraising events, conferences and network meetings, and with travel every 10 weeks or so to central London for team meetings.
You must be a determined self-reliant professional though also a team player, to effectively coordinate and execute events and other activities, and be passionate about events management and fundraising to enable us to raise as much money as possible for the charity.
