The Role

Reporting to Director of Finance and Operations, the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis plays a critical leadership role in shaping IIED’s financial strategy and enabling data-informed decision-making. You will lead the FP&A function, ensuring robust budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and reporting processes across the Institute. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, research teams, and senior leadership, you will drive financial insight, support long-term planning, and ensure effective resource allocation.

This role will also line manage the Finance Business Partners, supporting them in delivering high-quality financial support to programme teams and driving continuous improvements in our project financial management and cost recovery practices.

About You

To be considered as the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will need to be:

- Qualified accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with significant post-qualification experience in financial leadership roles.
- Strong track record in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business partnering.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Expertise in cost recovery, funder compliance, and financial management of donor-funded projects.
- Exceptional analytical skills and ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights.

About the Role

About the role

Pro Bono Community is looking for a Training and Volunteer Coordinator to help us run programmes aimed at improving the amount and quality of access to justice by training law students and others and then placing them to work as volunteers at advice agencies.

The Training and Volunteer Coordinator will report to and work alongside the Director to undertake work supporting the charity’s activities with a focus on recruiting and training students and lawyers and then coordinating volunteering placements for them at Law Centres and advice agencies. The role also includes administrative work relating to a pioneering digital advice clinic the charity runs in conjunction with a Citizens Advice agency in London.

From refreshing our global brand to designing dynamic content and campaign materials, your creativity will help drive awareness, engagement, and participation in the Award. You'll work collaboratively with teams across the Foundation and our international network, producing materials that not only look great, but carry real meaning and purpose.

Key responsibilities

• Brand Development & Identity: Lead creative development to refresh our brand so that it communicates impact, celebrates young people, and demonstrates our vision and values
   
• Visual Storytelling & Content Design: Translate complex ideas and data into accessible and visually engaging formats by creating assets for campaigns, content series, publications and digital platforms— including social media graphics, short-form videos and animations, marketing materials, reports, infographics, toolkits, and event assets
   
• Innovation & Accessibility: Stay informed on design trends and youth visual culture to bring fresh ideas, a user-centred mindset, and an inclusive approach that keeps our visual storytelling current and compelling, whilst ensuring accessibility and cultural relevance to young people across the world
• Internal Support: Work with teams across the organisation to develop brand-aligned guidelines, templates, resources, and capacity-building in visual communication principles

Job Title: Payroll and Pensions Administrator 

Location: Islington, London, (Around a 10 minute walk from Highbury and Islington station) Hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office and service visits regularly across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. Once a month, the full People and Culture team have a collaborative office day on a Monday. 

Salary: £27,000

Shift Pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility around these hours as required.

About the role

Our People and Culture team are hiring a Payroll and Pensions Administrator to join the team to support with ensuring our staff are paid efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will play a pivotal part of the team to support with the preparation and processing of monthly payroll for all, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any additional relevant activities. You will utilise the tools and resources available to ensure we meet the needs of all our stakeholders and comply with legal matters. The role will further include:

• Taking ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process, being the point of contact for enquiries in this area.
• Supporting the administrative process of payroll and pensions, including with the database/system, ensure that any problems are identified with the relevant departments for effective resolution.
• Ensure the process for all adaptations are carried out in a timely manner.
• Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other bodies.
• Work in collaboration with functions within the organisation to ensure consistency of information and process.
• Ensure all data and reporting is updated in a timely manner across the relevant databases on a regular basis and fit the needs of the business.

In this role, you will report to the Payroll and Pensions Manager, working alongside the wider People and Culture team which includes the Generalist team, Talent Acquisition team, Workforce Development, and Talent Development team. As a team, we all have our strengths and individual qualities and interests, we support each other wherever possible and have a collaborative working culture. Once a month, we meet as a team and come together for a fun activity and collaborative working.

About you

We are looking for someone who is methodical and intuitive, with a detail oriented outlook to tasks, with the ability to take ownership of projects and workflows, using your skills, knowledge and materials to provide an excellent service. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast paced environment, able to work with conflicting priorities, whilst maintaining a high level professional service. We look for personable characteristics, someone who can get along well with others and is approachable. As a team we have individual interests and share a sense of humour, we try bring an element of enjoyment to our workplace when we can! • Experience in a similar role, taking on similar responsibilities in payroll capacity
• Experience in providing a high level of quality administration and customer support (internal or external customers)
• Experience of providing a high level of numerical administration and communications, commensurate to the level of the role
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, competent knowledge in Microsoft, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability and willingness to attend regular visits to our different service locations
• Working knowledge and understanding of payroll, pensions and other relevant laws and external policies commensurate to the level of the role.
