About the role:

This is a chance to stand alongside women experiencing multiple disadvantage such as violence against women and girls (VAWG), mental health challenges, substance misuse, offending behaviour, and physical health barriers. It is a chance to be part of the journey where safety, choice and confidence begin to return. In our Camden women’s accommodation service, you’ll build trusting relationships through gender and trauma informed support, working collaboratively with each woman to shape a pathway that reflects her strengths, priorities and hopes for the future. You’ll work closely with specialist partners and engage in multi-agency forums like MARAC to help reduce harm and create space for recovery, stability and new beginnings.

Each day will look different. You may be supporting someone to reconnect with education or work, linking a client into mental health or substance use services, arranging access to healthcare or encouraging involvement in meaningful activities that rebuild identity and community. Through one-to-one support, group sessions and practical life skills development, you’ll help women sustain their accommodation, strengthen wellbeing and expand their networks and independence.

Project Worker – Mockingbird Programme

We are seeking a confident communicator and skilled relationship builder to support the delivery of the Mockingbird programme across the UK.

Salary: £32,480 to £37,555 plus London weighting if eligible

This role focuses on helping fostering services understand, implement and sustain the Mockingbird model. You will make a real impact on the lives of foster families and children by supporting stronger, more resilient communities within fostering.

About the role

The Mockingbird programme is an evidence based model that creates sustainable foster care through the power of community. You will join a team of dedicated project workers who provide guidance, training and ongoing support to fostering services taking part in the programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing ongoing coaching, guidance and quality assurance to delivery partners across the UK
• Supporting training and learning, both online and in person

Working with clients from our Day Centre and Night Shelter to provide casework, advocacy and support to resolve and prevent homelessness in Enfield and Haringey,. 

Within the Day Centre you will provide high quality and relevant advocacy and casework to people who are homeless or at risk. You will maintain a caseload of clients working within a fast paced and dynamic small team. You will support the smooth running of the day centre provision and have a commitment to supporting vulnerable clients in a person-centred way. Outside of the day centre you will support clients to attend a variety of key services and appointments through outreach.

Faith in Action Merton Homelessness Project (FIA) has been serving the Merton community for over 20 years. We offer a twice-weekly Drop-In for the homeless and vulnerably housed in the London Borough of Merton. On Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year, we offer advice and support on a range of homelessness issues.

We provide a safe space where those in our community who are struggling to get by are welcomed, provided with breakfast, hot drinks, a two-course cooked lunch, the chance to take a shower and do their laundry, charge their phone, and access laptops to connect with family or look for work.

In 2022, FIA merged with the Merton Winter Night Shelter (WNS), which provides 14 emergency bed spaces to homeless adults for 16 weeks of the year. FIA's Trustees have overall responsibility for the WNS, with its day-to-day operation overseen by a dedicated WNS team.

Purpose of the job

This role creates a positive impact for young people by managing partners through the effective delivery of our youth work programmes, delivering high quality facilitation and training and building excellent relationships across a region to contribute to improvements in our network offer.

Working with Project Mangers across Network Delivery, you will enable the effective delivery of our provision to the youth sector through effective contract management and support for partnerships with Delivery Partners and Grantees. You will deliver high quality training and facilitated sessions, translating curriculum and content into engaging and effective delivery. Working within a specific geographical location you will pro -actively build relationships with organisations and networks and foster connections that will help to unlock youth work for all young people. You will gather insights from across your region to feed into and contribute to the development of our offer to our network.

Network Development

• Build knowledge of the provision of support for young people in your geographical location to enable you to act as an effective relationship builder, networker and connector

• Actively engage individuals, organisations and specific networks that can support development of our delivery (e.g., employment networks, regional infrastructure organisations, Violence Reduction Networks)

• Facilitate Delivery and Grantee networks and collaboration spaces as per the requirements of our youth work provision and network offer

To support the development of the new Co-Production project in Ealing in partnership with Ealing Mencap and the EPCF

 To provide organisational and administrative support to the project and SG meetings

· To communicate with parents and parent volunteers supporting the project

·To facilitate and manage the new Co-Production Steering Group with partners and professionals from the LA

·To communicate on a regular basis with partners and LA services

·To act as first point of contact for queries about the project from parents and partners

​About the role   

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic supervisor or team leader to take up a full-time role within our organisation as a Project Supervisor to be part of our small and dedicated team. The role will be based in Southwark as well as potential for wider London working as you will be part several innovative housing projects in London supporting vulnerable households to sustain their tenancies. As well as a team line manager, you will be maintaining and developing partnership with the Council’s housing officers, solicitors, landlords, community services, social prescribers, and mental health support workers to ensure tailored support can be offered for each client. The objectives of these programmes are to avoid evictions, sustain tenancies, increase employment opportunities, improve wellbeing, and increase educational outcomes. You will be working in partnership with other stakeholders such as schools and local authorities to improve family health, build relationships and engage families and individuals and their networks of support.    

About you   

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in staff management and project leadership, knowledge of housing polices, and with proven experience working with individuals who have complex needs. 

You will be responsible for managing and developing partnerships, supporting data collection for reports and monitoring, and contributing to quality assurance processes. In addition, you will hold a small caseload, providing direct, holistic support to individuals as part of your role. 

We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and highly organised. You should be confident working independently, with a genuine passion for driving positive change. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to provide holistic support and think creatively to find solutions. 

You will have:

• Experience leading and supervising other support workers, or volunteers, including delegation, training, and mentoring. 

• Ability to monitoring staff performance, and ensuring continuous professional development 

• Demonstratable experience of building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, statutory and  community organisations 

• Understanding of housing law, direct experience of working in partnership housing associations, local authorities, homeless organisations and public sector stakeholders  

• Good understanding of policy and procedures related to homelessness, benefits and housing market  

• Experience of organising project delivery and development 

• Experience of writing reports to showcase records and impact 

• Ability to work sensitively and empathetically with people in vulnerable circumstances

Community Action Redbridge is looking for a Project Manager to lead our Connected Communities Project, a successful social prescribing initiative that helps people build resilience, reduce loneliness, and connect with the support they need to improve their wellbeing. 

In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery and ongoing development of the project, guiding and supporting a small, dedicated team. Working in close partnership with voluntary and community organisations, the NHS, and other local agencies, you’ll help strengthen Redbridge’s community support infrastructure. You’ll champion person-led, strengths-based approaches, ensuring our work remains inclusive, responsive, and firmly grounded in what truly matters to the people we support. 

We’re looking for someone who is organised, compassionate, and skilled in partnership working; confident in leading teams and managing projects; adept at maintaining and developing project systems and processes and committed to tackling inequalities and promoting wellbeing across diverse communities. 

Prior experience in social prescribing, project coordination, or health and wellbeing initiatives will be especially valued. 

This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a requirement to work three days per week in our Gants Hill office.

The Tours & Projects Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination and delivery of several key areas of the  Orchestra’s core performance activity, including but not limited to: international stand-alone concerts, tours and  residencies; UK tours, engagements and festival performances; commercial recordings and special projects. 

Working in a fast-paced environment as part of a friendly, fun and creative team, the role of Tours & Projects Manager provides a unique opportunity to work with leading musicians and conductors. Excellent organisational and budgeting  skills, attention to detail, innovative thinking and a flexible approach to working will help you manage, develop and  execute a diverse range of projects to the highest standard. 

With oversight from the Senior Concerts Manager and Concerts Director, the post-holder will work closely with the  Concerts Coordinators, Concerts Assistant and the Orchestra Operations Team in the delivery of outstanding performances in territories as varied as the UK, USA, Asia and Europe.

Key Responsibilities 

• Planning and coordinating of all international tours and residencies undertaken by the Orchestra, • Planning and coordinating of UK-based performances, engagements and tours outside of the Orchestra’s  core regional residencies.

• Planning and coordinating commercial recordings and special projects, shared with Concerts & Projects  Manager, according to orchestra schedule. 

• Developing and managing detailed itineraries, travel schedules, visas, freight and accommodation for  musicians, artists, staff and equipment.

• Preparing project budgets, managing and maintaining set budgets and final reconciliation and invoicing,  including international tax applications on behalf of the Orchestra. 

• Liaising with the Orchestra’s Head of Production and Stage Managers regarding practical  arrangements for all concerts and projects, including, but not limited to, stage plans, stage extensions,  ATA carnet applications; truck requirements, second instruments etc. 

• Liaising closely with the Orchestra Librarians on orchestrations and editions for repertoire being  performed or recorded. 

• Supervising the Concerts Coordinators and Assistant in the practical delivery of contracts, PPE letters,  technical riders, dressing room and security lists, rehearsal venue bookings, flight and hotel lists etc. • Keeping abreast of all relevant agreements and updates from the Association of British Orchestras and  Musicians’ Union concerning touring best practice and regulation. 

• Liaising with the Orchestra Committee and Artistic Committee regarding player matters as directed by Senior Concerts Manager/Concerts Director. 

• Travel with the Orchestra on all international tours and attending concerts & projects within the UK as  necessary.

• Upholding and demonstrating the Orchestra's values. Representing the Philharmonia with utmost  professionalism at all times. 

• Undertaking such other duties as may reasonably be required by the Company. 

Skills and Qualifications 

Essential: 

• Minimum three years’ managerial experience in classical music administration preferably with a focus on tour management 

• Demonstrable experience in performance production and scheduling; including knowledge of  international visas, tax and travel. 

• A passion for orchestral music; 

• Meticulous attention to detail; 

• Self-motivated and a diligent worker; 

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise whilst working across a wide range of projects  at any one time; 

• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal being able to converse with a wide range of  stakeholders; 

• Ability to problem solve independently, quickly and under pressure; 

• Ability to find creative solutions independently; 

• Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to motivate junior colleagues; 

• Demonstrate hands-on and positive attitude during projects; 

• Willingness to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends; and to travel outside London and  the UK, as required. 

Desirable: 

• Skills in concert management 

• Previous employment with a symphony orchestra

• Knowledge of the working practices of a professional orchestra (including ABO/MU agreements that  apply to a professional freelance orchestra) 

• Knowledge of orchestral repertoire 

Reporting Structure 

Reporting to the Concerts Director. Line Management of the Tours & Projects Co-ordinator 

Employment Type 

Full time, based in London with weekend and evening work as required by the orchestra’s schedule.

Location 

The role will be based at our administrative office in Southwark, London SE1; however, the role will require  frequent travel both within the UK and internationally. This role will regularly require you to travel with the  Orchestra on tour, being away for periods of between one week to over two weeks at a time.
