Supporter Acquisition Manager – Temporary Contract
Location: London – 2 days per week on-site

About the Role
As Supporter Acquisition Manager, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end delivery of direct marketing campaigns focused on recruiting new donors. You’ll manage campaigns across a mix of online and offline channels—such as paid social, PPC, DRTV, and direct mail—and will be responsible for budgets reaching up to seven figures.
Working closely with media and creative agencies, internal stakeholders, and suppliers, you’ll ensure campaigns are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. You’ll also line-manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive, supporting their development while maintaining delivery excellence.

What We're Looking For:

- Line management experience preferred
- Familiarity with GDPR, fundraising compliance, and digital channels (e.g. paid social, PPC) is desirable

The main duties to be carried out by the post-holder include:
Alumni Relations
- Manage the Development team inbox and act as the main point of contact for Pembroke’s alumni and other supporters by email, phone, and in person.
- Deal with external communications to the office and forward queries to the appropriate colleague where required.
- Produce briefing notes for the Master, Fellows, and other key staff and volunteers prior to events for alumni relations, stewardship, and fundraising purposes.
- Ensure that the alumni pages of the College website are kept up-to-date and contribute to the generation of online content for social media.
- Process credit card payments for events and ensure accurate records are kept and card details handled securely.
- Provide administrative support to the Pembroke College Ambassador programme.
Operations and Office Management
- Work with the Database and Insights Officer on projects to clean and improve data held on the university-wide DARS database.
- Process updates to contact and other details submitted by alumni.
- Deal with payment and pledge-related queries from donors and potential donors.
- Ensure that the database is maintained with accurate and up-to-date details on Pembroke alumni and other constituents.
- Provide logistical support for overseas trips and other visits undertaken by Development staff.
- Take minutes for meetings of the Campaign Board, Development Committee, Alumni Advisory Board, and other groups.
Internal collaboration
- Work collaboratively with the wider team and colleagues across Pembroke, supporting work outside your functional area where necessary.
- Support fundraising colleagues with regular giving activities including telethons and mailings.
- Provide general support and assistance to the team, particularly for event administration and donor stewardship.
- Attend events as required and assist the Senior Alumni Relations Officer to ensure they are successfully delivered.
- Co-ordinate stationery and office supplies including fundraising and alumni relations materials.
- Collect and deliver post to the Porters’ Lodge.
- To undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Development Director, which may include travel and event attendance outside standard working hours.

The Role
Yorkshire Cancer Research currently operates 15 shops across Yorkshire and are embarking on a retail expansion programme, with plans in place to open a further 20 shops across Yorkshire over the next three years. This is a role which forms part of the retail expansion plan. Reporting to the Head of Retail, the Retail Area Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of existing shops, and for the new shops as they open.
The Retail Area Manager will lead by example and ensure that employees, volunteers, supporters, donors, and customers understand how their contributions are making a difference to the lives of people in Yorkshire and beyond.
Specifically, you will:
· Provide day to day line management responsibilities for Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers, including coaching, inspiring and motivating team members so they are clear about their role and feel fully supported in driving the charity forward.
· Work closely with Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers with regards to rota management and provide support where necessary to ensure each shop is sufficiently staffed.
· Be accountable for an area budget and achieve or exceed budgeted income, expenditure, and contribution (net income).
· Ensure that all charity policies, shop standards and operating procedures are communicated effectively to all Shop Managers and effectively cascaded to volunteers. Regularly review that they are all maintained and followed in a consistent manner.
· Ensure our shops are presented to the highest standards with attractive visual merchandising and window displays and coach the Shop Managers to continually improve visual merchandising standards and share best practice.
· Lead, coach and develop the Shop Managers and Retail Support Managers, role modelling the internal PDR approach and wellbeing focus.
· Act as the “go to” lead for the Shop Managers on a day-to-day basis to help resolve operational issues, referring to Head of Retail for support with more complex issues.
· Act as an ambassador of the charity’s values, challenging misaligned behaviours and ensuring the values are integrated into all aspects of management.
· Create a welcoming professional atmosphere and deliver high standards of service for all employees, volunteers, customers and supporters.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
· To be educated to A-Level or equivalent.
· To be trained as a First Aider, Fire Marshal and a Mental Health First Aider where appropriate.
· To have experience of multi-site retail management in a charity or commercial retail organisation
· To have experience of building and leading a team of employees and volunteers including recruitment and development.
· To have experience of meeting and exceeding targets within a retail environment.
· To have experience of setting, monitoring, and reporting of sales and cost budgets.
· To have experience of using own initiative and taking accountability for all aspects of day-to-day retail operational management.
· To be highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise a workload to meet deadlines.
· To have the ability to lead teams of employees and volunteers, providing support, motivation, and encouragement.
· To have excellent IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
· To have the ability and willingness to frequently travel across the Yorkshire region, access to own vehicle, and a full UK driving licence with less than 6 penalty points

About the Role
As HR Project Admin (Flexible Workforce), you will play a key role in supporting the national flexible staffing model. You’ll be responsible for coordinating temporary worker recruitment, managing workforce records, and helping ensure compliance across all casual staffing processes. Beyond Sport is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager to lead our end-to-end grant-making process across our global programmes. This partner-facing role will lead all grant application processes, including due diligence, approvals and agreements as well as grantee relationship management through the life cycle of the grant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly global organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team in both the US and the UK, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager (UK). The position will support the strategic programme implementation and work alongside specialists in the team on Monitoring and Evaluation and Events & Capacity-Building.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Management
- Lead on all communication with grantees (and award recipients) across programmes.
- Manage grantee payment and reporting schedules with clear expectations and communications.
- Build and own the organisation's system of communicating with grantees (and award recipients).
- Collaborate with Finance on grantee bank account details, payments, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with the team to support grantees through marketing, events, and capacity building opportunities. Work cross-team to support grantees to fulfil monitoring and evaluation of grant requirements, insight surveys and financial reports where needed.
- Maintain the grantee CRM database, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to use.
Grantee Selection Process
- Manage the grant application process from start to finish for funding and award programmes.

- Responsible for supporting potential applicants during the open application period.
- Lead on all tasks required once the application process is closed, including collating and summarising applications, scoring and recommendations and due diligence.

Parallel is a small but ambitious charitable initiative doing big things: we currently support over 3,000 students through our maths enrichment activities, around 500 of whom receive dedicated weekly, small-group online tutorials in The Parallel Academy. Our mission is to support students on our programmes to fulfil their mathematical potential, by providing them with the opportunity to develop their reasoning and problem-solving skills beyond the curriculum.
Our students are motivated and ambitious. Although our maths programme is optional and takes place outside of school hours, students have an average attendance above 95%.
The Role
We are rapidly expanding our service provision over the coming months, and are seeking a full or part-time Project Administrator to join our passionate and energetic team. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of our programmes and help embed the tools and processes for reaching thousands more students each year.
This is a versatile role with responsibilities ranging from database management to setting up online events and communicating with service users, schools and tutoring staff. Working within a small administration team, you will be proficient at using a range of tools such as spreadsheets, meeting platforms and scheduling software, and will be willing to learn new ways of working. We are looking for someone who can remain focused under pressure, using their initiative to deal proactively with a range of tasks and to prioritise the competing demands of a busy workload.
Hours
This is a flexible and fully remote role, and you will have significant autonomy in how you structure your working week.
As part of your contracted hours, you will be required to work some evenings and weekends, but this will not exceed one day a week in total. There will also be periods when there is a higher workload (e.g., during student recruitment periods), so you may be required to offer some flexibility in working longer (and then shorter) hours week to week. Key duties and responsibilities

Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date spreadsheets relating to student rosters and learning data.

Adopt data hygiene principles so that data is managed smartly, in accordance with our data privacy policy.

Lead on event creation, which primarily concerns the hundreds of weekly tutorials we run each week, but also extends to other activities such as student admissions, end of term testing and public webinars.

Help to manage a high-volume inbox, responding to daily emails and triaging across the team by assigning correct levels of priority to each correspondence.

Support the onboarding of new tutors (e.g. overseeing DBS checks, approving invoices) and take the lead on finding cover when gaps appear in our tutoring schedule.

Liaise with prospective schools and students and undertake key data gathering activities to identify the most suitable candidates for our programmes.

Support in developing and updating key policies and procedures.

Support with general administrative tasks.
