Job description
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to manage their exciting new team delivering the new Housing First service.

This is a new service and this role will be fundamental in establishing the service within the three boroughs of Elmbridge, Surrey Heath and Runnymede - Surrey they hope to also be able to extend out into new areas once it is established. The Housing First model is built on relationships working with other agencies to provide wrap around support to clients to enable them to settle in their accommodation.

The aim of the service is to support people who have been homeless or are at risk of rough sleeping to improve their quality of life and their ability to successfully sustain a tenancy. The majority of people will be single and they may be addressing a range of potential issues e.g. mental health and/or substance misuse issues, learning disabilities, inexperience of independent living as they may not have held a tenancy before. They may also have an offending history or have poor home or financial management skills. The new team will be supporting 15 clients in properties across all 3 boroughs. They are looking for people who, not only have relevant skills and experience, but also have the passion, commitment, enthusiasm and vision to enable them to be known as the best supported housing association in this exciting new area of service delivery.

Service Manager Requirements:

With a new team and service to build this is a role for an enthusiastic manager with a passion for supporting clients and helping them to develop and maintain their skills alongside the ability to work in partnership with the local authorities and many other agencies to ensure the success of the clients and the service.

The Housing First team is responsible for providing a personalised, trauma informed support service to people with complex needs facing multiple exclusion in line with Housing First Principles. They will be required to provide a person centred, strength-based support service to support clients to create long term sustainable tenancies by increasing independence and maximising connectivity with the local community.
