Job description
Do you want to support and deliver a comprehensive policy programme for high profile campaigning charity? Do you want to use your skills and experience to help deliver policies that drive legislative change? Have you got experience working across a range of policy issues in a dynamic environment? This role reports to the Head of Policy and together you will be responsible for:
• Support the development and delivery of Stonewall's policy workstream, using credible analysis and evidence.
• Support Stonewall's policy agenda, both proactively and reactively, responding with agility and flexibility as appropriate.
• Work across Stonewall to ensure our policy objectives are embedded in the work we do with policy makers, parliamentarians, media, public and private sectors, international bodies, civil society and communities.
• Represent and speak on behalf of Stonewall, in external policy meetings and coalitions.
• Build an effective relationship network with policy makers and thought leaders to ensure that Stonewall is a chosen partner for LGBTQ issues.
• Stonewall is a LGBTQ charity. Over the last 35 years, we have helped create transformative change in the lives of LGBTQ people in the UK. Our campaigns drive positive change in public attitudes and public policy.
You would be a key part of a team of driven, passionate people who are working together to deliver meaningful and tangible progress for LGBTQ people.
For this role we are looking for significant experience working in a high-profile policy space, partnering with think tanks, and policy makers to effect change.

Salary: £40,000

Job description
I’m recruiting on behalf of an international animal protection charity, seeking a passionate and experienced Policy and Advocacy Specialist to lead its UK policy work.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of the UK political landscape and a track record of delivering policy or public affairs programmes—particularly within the charity, advocacy, or political sectors.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver impactful policy campaigns to protect farmed animals
- Influence legislative change across devolved governments
- Build relationships with MPs, civil servants, and other key stakeholders
- Draft high-quality policy briefings, consultation responses, and campaign materials
- Collaborate with internal teams on public awareness and advocacy campaigns
You’ll need:
- Relevant work experience in policy, advocacy, or public affairs
- Solid understanding of UK politics and legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Commitment to animal protection and a vegan lifestyle at work events
Remote (UK-based). Must be available to travel to London for team meet-ups once a month (at own cost).
Full-time, (35 hour week), Permanent
£34,000–£37,000
