Trust fundraising at Battersea has grown significantly over the past few years, from £1m in 2022 to £2.75m in 2025. Working closely with the Trusts Officer and Trusts Lead, you will secure vital funding from Trusts and Foundations to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally.
As the Trusts Manager, you will manage your own portfolio of five-figure Trust donors and take ownership of relationships to secure funding from both existing and new supporters. You will also support the Trusts Officer to deliver bi-annual Small Trusts Mailings and the Trusts Lead to deliver significant partnerships.
You will be proactive and motivated, with a passion for animal welfare and an aptitude for building relationships. You are a strong communicator with excellent writing skills which will enable you - with support from the team - to craft compelling funding proposals that resonate with donors.

Are you aware of the significant health inequalities that people with a learning disability face in the UK and levels of avoidable deaths? Are you passionate about access to justice for the families of people with a learning disability who have died avoidably in acute healthcare settings?
We’re looking for a dedicated Legal Casework Manager (Helpline) to join our committed information and advice team covering England at Mencap on a full time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term contract for 2 years.
Here at Mencap we are a leading charity providing advice, support and opportunities to people with a learning disability across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The role will lead on supporting families to get answers about how their loved ones died and change across the healthcare system to prevent future deaths.
The role is flexible in terms of location, which can include home working, using Mencap’s office bases, such as in London and Peterborough, and will include some national travel, for example to inquest hearings or to meet families when needed.
About the Role
As Legal Casework Manager (Helpline), you’ll provide advice, support, and casework assistance to families facing complex legal issues, specifically relating to people with a learning disability who have died in avoidable circumstances across England, mainly within the healthcare system. Working within a small, supportive team, you’ll manage your own caseload, contribute to the body of knowledge about avoidable deaths and help empower families to understand and exercise their rights and get answers through the inquest and other investigations processes.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide clear, accurate, and timely legal advice and casework support for families.
· Work closely with clients, many of whom will be distressed, ensuring a sensitive, trauma informed and professional approach
· Maintain up-to-date case records and comply with quality and regulatory standards
· Support strategic litigation and advocacy efforts where appropriate
· Liaise with other charities, coroners, legal professionals, and agencies to support families to get answers
· Work towards a world where people with a learning disability are no more at risk of death in hospitals, than any other person
· Manage a team of caseworkers working across different areas of advice.
About You
We’re looking for someone:
· Legally qualified in the UK or similar jurisdiction with at least 3 years post qualification, working in either clinical negligence, inquests or inquiries. Or similar number of years working as a senior case worker in an inquest/clinical negligence/inquiries advice role.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach
· Ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and work independently
· Ability to travel effectively to support families at inquests, and to attend meetings
· A clear understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and in maintaining their emotional wellbeing in distressing situations
· Strong management skills and ability to supervise, coach and mentor colleagues.
· Experience of accurately recording client case records and use of CRM/client database system

Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The Housing Manager plays an important role in delivering high-quality housing services to vulnerable people, including those with complex mental health needs, young people, and survivors of domestic abuse. Reporting to the Head of Housing Services, the Housing Manager is responsible for ensuring that tenancies are sustained, rent is collected on time, and repairs are reported and monitored efficiently. The role requires a good understanding of housing law and involves working closely with other agencies in a supported housing environment. Key tasks include overseeing rent collection, ensuring correct tenancy sign-ups, and providing trauma-informed housing management in line with organisational values.
The Housing Manager also leads a team of Housing Officers, offering regular supervision, training, and support to help improve their performance and knowledge. They are responsible for making sure repairs are followed up, rent accounts are managed properly, and performance targets are met. The role involves building positive relationships with service users, dealing with complaints or issues, and working with support staff to help tenants maintain their housing. Accurate record-keeping and reporting are essential, and the Housing Manager must work with partners like local authorities and support services to ensure that housing support is delivered effectively and professionally.

The ideal candidate must have a good understanding of housing law, tenancy and licence agreements, and rent recovery procedures. They should also be knowledgeable about Housing Benefit, Universal Credit, and entitlements for individuals with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills are essential, along with effective written and verbal communication abilities. The candidate must be IT literate and experienced in using housing management systems. Additionally, they should possess the ability to coach, support, and motivate staff to ensure high standards of service delivery.

As a Trainee Debt Adviser you will be responsible for managing an ongoing debt caseload, whilst maintaining weekly client appointment targets. You will work closely with the other team members to meet funding and contractual targets, maintain quality standards and also maintain training and development targets.
You will provide comprehensive, full range of debt advice in line with Financial Conduct Authority and Debt Advice Quality Framework by using your interpersonal skills to explore, listen and understand complex problems as they affect each individual and tailor approach to advice accordingly.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment understanding the debt advice model, developing casework skills and build experience of dealing with complex and challenging cases in line with the provision of excellent in house training.
At a personal level you will also need to demonstrate resilience and the ability to, understand and empathise with clients from diverse range of backgrounds and disadvantaged groups living in the community, in particular barriers faced by over-indebted and financially excluded communities. You will also need to demonstrate a high standard of numeracy and computer skills, specifically IT skills with a strong command of the Microsoft Office suite with an ability to understand and analyse complex financial and other numerical information.
You will also be able to demonstrate at least six months experience of working with the public, and ideally in community/advice giving setting. Experience of gathering, providing and disseminating complex and sensitive information.

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.
We are recruiting an Employment Advisor to join our IPS service, you will be based in Barking and Dagenham, working 35 hours per week and co-located in a mental health treatment team within the Borough. This service closely to the principles of the IPS model in supporting people in to employment. This role will be working with clients who have mental health support needs, wanting to gain paid employment.
Experience of employment support is not essential, it is more important that you share our passion and commitment to employment as an integral aspect of wellbeing and supporting people to find the right job for them. You will receive training on the IPS model and in supporting people with mental health issues. You need to have a desire to support people to achieve their employment goals, and the ability to multitask and manage your workload effectively. Good organisation skills are essential for this role, in addition to an interest in mental health, and the role it plays in the workplace. You will work with clients (managing a caseload) who have mental health support needs, to assist them in securing sustainable paid employment in line with their preferences. You will work as part of a mental health team (NHS Trust) maintaining positive and integrated relationships, fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment. As the London Sexual Health Services Manager, you will lead METRO’s London-based Sexual & Reproductive Health services, overseeing a range of programmes including sexual health, outreach, and youth engagement.
