Who you are:

An experienced professional with an in-depth understanding of and subject matter expertise on working with businesses on responsible recruitment, ethical labour practices and modern slavery, and significant experience in business engagement/developing and managing senior management corporate sponsor relations (min. 5 years’ experience).

The ideal candidate should have experience in a business development role, a track record in building and developing business relations, and strong experience of giving presentations, delivering pitches and closing deals.

A lot of people know NCT for our antenatal classes, and we want to continue to support as many parents and families as we can to access evidence-based information. But we are also much more than this. We are a charity that campaigns on the issues that matter to parents. We run breastfeeding and infant feeding support, provided by specialist counsellors. We run thousands of free community activities and events across the UK, led by our fantastic volunteers and peers. And we support women and families facing specific challenges, such as social isolation, feeding difficulties or poor mental health.
Our Hackney Parent Support project is commissioned by Hackney Council, to offer infant feeding support across the region in both community and hospital settings and parenting courses for families throughout the Hackney region. The support is delivered by staff and volunteer peer supporters.
We are seeking a capable NCT Perinatal Service Delivery Manager who is passionate about supporting parents and infant feeding to lead on this project. This role is home-based but will include travel across the Hackney region (expenses will be reimbursed).
About the role
You will be responsible for managing the parent support project in its entirety across the region. Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
- Leading on perinatal peer support across the region.
- Managing the project staff team.
- Having a good working knowledge and understanding of the local demographics in the Hackney area and ensuring all services are accessible and inclusive.
- Engaging with communities through networking with other local organisations.
- Report progress on project status, timelines and delivery against key performance indicators.
- Participate in local perinatal networking/task and finish projects, so that the programme is an integral part of the local perinatal and infant feeding provision landscape, and is able to advocate for and chaperone perinatal service users at a strategic level, raising the profile of NCT’s perinatal offer locally and nationally.
You must have good communication skills and be able to build relationships and create a rapport with a wide range of people easily. This is a large project and covers multiple locations so you must be able to confidently prioritise your own work, be highly organised and able to work independently.
Being able to make decisions and respond appropriately to our commissioners, staff, peer supporters and parents and other external stakeholders is essential, alongside good IT skills– including Outlook, Word and Excel – and you must have good attention to detail.
It is essential for this post that you undertake the training to become an NCT Breastfeeding Peer Supporter. This requires breastfeeding experience of at least 3 months. The training can be undertaken within your working hours. There will also be training on the EPEC (Empowering Parents, Empowering Communities course) provided by South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
The role is 28-35 hours per week which will be predominantly Monday to Friday within the working day, however, will include occasional evening and weekends. This is a home-based role, however travel across Hackney will be required.

ELSC is an initiative of the Palestinian NGO Network, comprising 200 Palestinian civil society organisations, developed in response to the widespread repression in Europe of advocacy for Palestinian rights. Founded in January 2019, we provide free legal advice and assistance to individuals who face unjust smears, disciplinary investigations, criminal sanctions and other repressive measures aimed at shrinking the space for Palestinian rights advocacy in mainland Europe and Britain. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Associate Solicitor will lead our legal team in Britain and oversee our cases in England and Wales.
The role requires a qualified solicitor with experience of running litigious cases. Our main practice areas in Britain are: (i) public law and human rights; (ii) employment and discrimination and (iii) defamation law. The post-holder will have particular expertise in one of these areas. Our cases also involve data rights, freedom of information, criminal law, actions against the police, charity law, education law, international humanitarian law, and immigration issues.
The post holder will manage a growing team that consists of a Legal Officer and a Junior Legal Officer. In addition, our country teams have advocacy and communication officers and researchers who monitor anti-Palestinian racism.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee all litigious and advisory casework in Britain alongside our junior legal staff and legal network. Provide expert legal advice and representation, to individual clients and movement partners.

Manage our legal officers, providing training and feedback to them as appropriate. Collaborate closely with our legal network of solicitors and counsel with the goal of strengthening the wider movement.

Develop and advance new legal strategies for challenging state and non-state repression of advocacy for Palestine in consultation with our legal network, national partners and experts.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Required experience, knowledge and skills

3 years + post-qualified experience (PQE) and admitted to practise as a solicitor in England and Wales.

Experience leading on a variety of contentious and non-contentious matters, particularly in public, employment and/or defamation law.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise legal advice on complex issues in a comprehensible and appropriate format.

We are looking for a Support Worker to work as part of a service that provides late-night and early-morning outreach for women who are sex working and supports women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

About the role
The Post Holder will work within Spires’ Women’s Service. This service is comprised of:
A dedicated nighttime outreach service to support women who are involved in street-based sex working. This includes follow up work, casework, and multi-agency working.
Centre-based support for women with complex needs who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. This also includes casework and supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness team.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Supporting a caseload of clients
· Completing one nighttime outreach shift a week (this is carried out in the Spires car)
· Supporting in the running of Spires’ women’s drop in services
· Supporting Spires’ Housing and Homelessness service where required
· Representing Spires to external stakeholders at multi-agency meetings
· Ensuring detailed and accurate records are kept of all client work.
About you
You will have previous experience of working with people exhibiting complex needs and people experiencing homelessness. Ideally you will have experiencing supporting women with some of the following support needs: substance addiction, mental health needs, domestic violence, no recourse to public funds and sex working.
You will also bring with you the following skills and experience:
· Experience of challenging appropriately and maintaining clear and appropriate boundaries.
· Networking and effectively liaising with specialist service providers or agencies in order to establish and/or improve access to services for clients.
· Sound understanding of the issues faced by women and other individuals involved in sex work.
· Understanding of the legislation around supporting the victims of Domestic Violence.
· Understanding of the effects of trauma on people and how to work in a trauma informed way.
· Good understanding of safeguarding practices in outreach work, social care and/or day centre environment.

About the role:
This role is for an events person who can support our training and development courses. These courses are delivered either face-to-face or hybrid and are often delivered by a team of the organisation’s members. We use tools such as WebEx, MS Teams and Slido to support the delivery. There is an agreed schedule for the rest of 2024 for our public (open) training plus some bespoke, in-house training to be agreed upon with clients. This is an exciting 2 day a week role to be part of the growing Newham District Foodbank and Ascension’s Advice Service. On 9th June 2021 Ascension’s foodbank officially became part of the Trussell Trust network. We were named Newham District Foodbank, because our plan is to expand to more than one distribution centre to ensure that people across the whole of Newham are well supported. As part of the strategy, we have already secured funding to have debt and benefit advisors supporting each new distribution centre.

You will provide high level strategic work, including liaising with donors, referral partners and other local foodbanks and support new partners into Newham District Foodbank. JUSTICE is at the forefront of work promoting access to a fair criminal justice system for all. The successful candidate will be building on our recent work on racial injustice in the youth criminal justice system and post-conviction decision making, including the parole system and administrative decision-making in prisons, as well as our cross-cutting workstream on the state of the rule of law in the UK. They will also be scoping and setting up a new criminal justice project relating to fraud.
We would like to recruit a bright, motivated person who is passionate about criminal justice system reform, and the promotion of access to justice and fair trial. With excellent interpersonal skills, they will be able to work closely with JUSTICE members, who include senior figures in the legal profession.
