We are looking for someone to take up an important role in our safeguarding team as a Safeguarding Manager. This role will be crucial in supporting our delivery team to safeguard the young people we work with and help ensure that IntoUniversity provides a safe environment for all of our young people at all times.

The role at a glance

Contract:

This is a permanent role. Part-time, 4 days a week (0.8 FTE). We would be open to discussing the possibility of a full time role with the successful candidate - responsibilities would be adjusted proportionally in this case.

We’re happy to discuss your preference for the non-working day but we would like the successful candidate to work on Fridays. You will also be able to work from home one day a week. (Some out-of-hours work will be required from time to time - for example, out of hours safeguarding phone cover for an enrichment event or residentials).

Salary

£35,500 per annum FTE (£28,400 pro rata). This will rise to £36,400 per annum FTE (£29,120 pro rata) from 1st September 2025.

London based candidates will also receive £2,600 London contribution (pro rata). The pro-rated amount is £2,080. This will rise to £2,700 (pro rata) from 1st September 2025. The pro-rated amount will be £2,160.

Annual leave 

Full-time staff entitlement, pro-rated for part-time staff: 33 days (inc bank & public holidays) + 3 closure days (two in December and one in July) + additional length of service entitlement (one day per year of service, up to 5 days) 

In order to be eligible for the role, applicants must:

• Have achieved a grade C/ grade 4 or higher in GCSE Maths and English/ achieved National 5s or Standard Grade at Credit level (grades 1-2) in Maths and English (or equivalent).
• Have previous experience of working with children or young people in a safeguarding capacity.
• Have a secure knowledge of key legislation and statutory guidance on safeguarding and promoting the  welfare of children.
• Have the right to work in the UK (please note that as a charity we do not have the capacity to sponsor work visas).

Job Purpose

We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and adults. You will work closely with the Head of Safeguarding, the Safeguarding team and the Senior Operations Team to provide a safe environment for all young people and families across our centres and programmes. With the support of the Head of Safeguarding and Operations, the Safeguarding Manager will contribute to the development of safeguarding policies, training, procedures and guidance to promote the welfare and protection of children and young people. Alongside the safeguarding team, you will manage the
coordination of referrals, arranging action and ensuring accurate monitoring and recording of all safeguarding cases.

Role: Full-time* Trust & Foundations Manager

Salary: £37,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

Location: Remote, with occasional travel to Edinburgh or London

SOHK is at a new and exciting stage of development. Having delivered its programmes to thousands of adults and young people over the past 13 years, in 2024 we chose to focus solely on working in schools. This shift responds to a dramatic rise in need among young people in the UK, many of whom are struggling to navigate adolescence amid rising poverty, a mental health crisis, and increasing isolation.

We plan to double the number of young people engaging with our programmes over the next five years. OVERVIEW

The Trusts & Foundations Manager will play a central role in shaping SOHK’s future growth. They will lead on major grant applications, support targeted bids aligned with regional delivery, and manage relationships with existing charitable funders.

Around one-third of SOHK’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders such as the Garfield Weston Foundation and Impetus. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship.

The role works closely with the CEO, who is committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success. The post-holder will also collaborate with Regional Directors and other fundraising colleagues, while enjoying a high level of autonomy and contributing to the long-term direction of SOHK’s Trusts & Foundations strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop and submit high-quality funding proposals, including applications for six-figure and multi-year grants, by meeting appropriate deadlines and tailoring applications so they appeal to different funder priorities
• Manage and develop a strong pipeline of Trust & Foundations funders for future years, including researching and prospecting new leads through active outreach
• Work with the CEO, Regional Directors and overall fundraising team to identify key funding priorities and strategically deploying the capacity available
• Develop and keep the fundraising CRM updated as a central source of trusts and foundations knowledge, clearly identifying funding gaps and adjusting targets
• Strengthen existing funding partnerships through warm stewardship and efficient grant reporting, maximising the charity’s chances of repeat funding
• Build upon the organisational strategy for scaling trusts & foundations income

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Essential

• Demonstrable track record in leading on successful medium and major grant applications, including six-figure and multi-year grants
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to present a compelling case for support to a variety of funders
• Comfortable in understanding and presenting financial information and in creating budgets for grant applications
• Experience with CRM/fundraising databases for tracking applications, deadlines, and relationship management
• Highly organised and proactive, used to taking the lead on managing a large volume of potential grants in line with the submission dates
• Confident in liaising and engaging with external organisations, including building new relationships with potential funders who are invite-only

About the Role

The role of the Visitor Experience Duty Manager is to support the Visitor Experience Team (VE) with the management of gallery opening hours and the events calendar. Motivating and leading the VE Team, on a day-to-day basis, providing an inspiring, engaging and inclusive visitor experience for broad and diverse audiences.

This role will cover weekends, evening events and occasional leave days for the VE Team. Visitor Experience Duty Managers fulfil Duty Management responsibilities for the building to ensure the safety and security of staff, visitors and exhibitions/events.

Responsibilities

Operational and Health & Safety

• The VEDM (Visitor Experience Duty Manager) is responsible for opening and / or closing the building on their shift, and for the setting of alarms. They are also required, in an emergency, to organise maintenance of the building, including intruder and fire alarms. All Duty Managers are included on the call out list for possible out of hours alarm issues.
• In the event of an emergency or fire alarm the VEDM is required to manage a full building evacuation and work as the contact person to the fire brigade.
• To ensure that the building is safe and clean by checking all areas before the building is open to the public or before an event. Turning on/off all lighting and replacing bulbs where necessary, checking fuse boards and making minor repairs, cleaning toilets when necessary. Continue to monitor throughout the day, allocating deliveries to appropriate storage areas, checking toilet facilities and following general risk assessment for areas of prohibited public access.
• To manage and adhere to all Health and Safety and building security practices, including completing risk assessments for events. On the shifts when the Duty Manger is the only key holder in the building they must not leave the premises.
• To be responsible for upholding the premises licence according to the Licensing Act 2003, to ensure the café/bar adheres to alcohol licensing laws and to oversee the selling and consumption of alcohol within the building and any other licensed activities. To ensure that capacity numbers for events are not exceeded.
• The Duty Manager is required to turn on / off the show and ensure it is functioning correctly during gallery opening hours. Also, to ensure a curator or the Production Manager is informed of any faults, breakages etc.
• Lead and motivate Visitor Experience team members and volunteers to ensure the delivery of high standards of visitor and artwork care, safety, security, visitor welcome, wayfinding, building presentation and housekeeping.
• Brief the Visitor Experience Team Members and volunteers daily about their duties for the shift and ensure they have all the necessary resources in order to provide an excellent standard of customer service to all visitors.
• To be a First Aider and know the location of the First Aid boxes.
• To cover the break of the shop staff and/or VE team and to provide cover in the galleries, shop or Information Desk during busy periods or in an emergency.
• To ensure that Shop takings are secured in the safe.
• To read any emails or hand over notes at the beginning of his / her shift and to communicate to the Visitor Services Manager (VSM) any issues arising during their shift and record incidents in the incident log book.
• Carry out any other duties as directed by the VSM/HoFVE as required

Visitor Experience

• Work collaboratively with other members of the Visitor Experience team and other gallery departments providing services that contribute to visitor experience, (including the cafe and shop) to ensure a consistent and seamless service is provided to our visitors.
• To be able to give short tours/presentations to schools/groups about the current exhibition.
• To deal with all general enquiries and problems that may arise during the shift in a calm and professional manner with both customers and staff.
• Work with VSM to manage group booking enquiries sensitively and efficiently.
• Work with the VSM to develop projects that will build on and enhance the visitor experience.
• Work with the VSM to coach and develop the Visitor Experience team to ensure their skills and knowledge of gallery activities are up-to-date.
• Assist the VSM with the delivery of induction and training sessions for Visitor Experience team members and volunteers.

Events

• To assist in the coordination of events with event organisers and other key staff to ensure that all arrangements have been made for staff, equipment and booking of each event.
• To support the events and hires programme at the gallery, including setting up of AV equipment and moving furniture for events.
• Work with Commercial Manager to keep up to date with hire enquiries and show prospective clients available spaces if required.
• To provide a warm welcome to hirers, visiting speakers, artists, and ensure they have everything they need for their event.
• Complete event reports for all events and distribute VSM and event organisers.
• Checking online sales and tickets, assisting with processing sales and bookings for events when necessary. Ensure that all visitor figures and sales are recorded after each event.

What you will do:

The role encompasses all aspects of digital marketing activity, including both B2B and B2C. You’ll also be supporting commercial activities for Waddesdon Manor, the trading company RWL which includes Catering for the Manor operation, visitors, retail, public events, private events, The Bow and The Five Arrows, and any special projects for the Rothschild Foundation e.g. future commercial property developments.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Develop and deliver an online strategy to drive engagement and conversion across Waddesdon’s digital channels.
• Develop and manage digital content, including copywriting and proofreading content to develop our storytelling and ensure academic accuracy, standards and tone of voice are consistent.

About the role 

The Campaign & Programme Lead: Climate & Health supports health workers to campaign for just and proportionate action on climate change, working closely with our Movement Organiser and other colleagues. Currently our work focuses on the intersection of climate and housing, working to end the public health crisis of fuel poverty and poor-quality homes. In particular this role is responsible for national advocacy and campaigning on fuel poverty and housing, supporting members to organise in their local communities, and being a key part in the Homes for Health campaign team.

The role involves holding Medact’s key knowledge base on climate and health issues. You will build relationships across the health community and wider climate movement, from establishment institutions to frontline workers and grassroots groups. 

About you

This is a skilled role but you don’t need to have had a job in an NGO before or be a professional campaigner to be right for it. You might have worked with your local community to campaign on a social justice or health issue that you care about. Or, you might be a health worker who has seen the impact of these issues on your patients and wants to challenge the systems that drive inequity and marginalisation. 

You’ll have a strong understanding of power and how to work with others to create pressure for change. You need to be a great communicator, able to build trusting relationships with Medact members, academics, partner organisations and community groups. You’ll have an understanding of how digital communications compliment campaigning and an eye for a good media story.

The Direct Marketing Manager at CBM UK is a vital role and has responsibility for delivering CBM UKs digital and direct marketing plans to engage and inspire individual supporters and churches to support the work of CBM.
Working closely with the Head of Marketing, as part of the Public Fundraising team, the role holder will be responsible for the management and development of two Marketing Officers. Through digital and direct marketing, the Public Fundraising team are responsible for raising over £3m of unrestricted income from cultivation, acquisition, mid-value donors, regular giving, legacies and churches.

Key responsibilities
Fundraising campaign management (40%)
Manage the effective implementation of the annual public fundraising plan, ensuring that all activity is of a high standard, and delivered on time and to budget:
a. Oversee cultivation fundraising appeals primarily carried out through direct mail and email, leading on the continued development of mass fundraising to engage both existing and potential supporters, including high donors, regular givers and church communities.
b. Manage and develop CBM UKs donor acquisition activity in collaboration with the Marketing Officer (Acquisition), using channels such as social media, magazine inserts, press advertising, email and telephone.
c. Oversee the delivery of CBM UKs legacy and in-memoriam giving plans and campaigns.
d. Identify and consider new income streams and broaden the channels used currently for direct response campaigns to reach an agreed balance of long-term value versus risk.

Digital marketing (40%)
Grow digital engagement and income from new and existing supporters:
a. Lead on Pay Per Click strategy, including agency management and development of internal capabilities.
b. Oversee CBM UK’s paid social media activity.
c. Collaborate with the Communications Team to optimise the performance (traffic and income) of fundraising pages, including appeal and donation pages, churches and community, legacy, and in memoriam giving. Ensuring fundraising pages on the CBM website are engaging to existing and new audiences and where appropriate, utilising Search Engine Optimisation tools where appropriate.

d. Explore and make use of new and existing digital platforms and partners, such as Dataro and SEMrush, while promoting a culture of testing, innovation and learning within the digital space.

a. Monitor and report on fundraising appeals, identifying opportunities for future testing and optimisation, and contribute to the creation of annual planning, budgeting, and the setting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
b. Work closely with the Data and Insight team to ensure strong joint working on technical solutions related to campaign analysis, tracking and insights across digital systems, such as the website, donation platform and CRM (Salesforce).
c. Plan, deliver and report on campaigns/projects within an agreed budget.

Other
a. Ensure the consistent use of CBMs brand, key messages and style guide across all fundraising activities.
b. Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to direct marketing, including Fundraising Regulator guidance, and Data Protection legal requirements (GDPR and PECR).
c. Collaborate with colleagues across CBM UK and the CBM Global Federation, to support integrated and partnership based working.
d. Help foster a positive and inclusive culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
e. Be willing to work occasionally outside normal office hours and to travel in the UK and internationally if required.
f. Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
g. Undertake other duties as required by the Head of Marketing and Director of Fundraising, Impact and Communications.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, whose mission is to see a time when no deaf person feels alone, is seeking a proactive and relationships-driven Partnerships Account Manager for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners.

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. As well as acting as an ear to their partners and alerting them to sounds, the charity’s clever and expertly trained dogs help deaf people to live life with confidence and independence, whilst providing love, companionship and emotional support.

Following on from a strategic review, the charity is now looking to build a new Income Generation Directorate, to enable them to transform many more lives across the UK. This role will be critical to help Hearing Dogs reach their goals to diversify income, expand their portfolio and accelerate income from mission-aligned businesses.

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Partnerships, this role will take a lead on nurturing existing partnerships and developing new ones, with a specific focus on increasing income through employee engagement and payroll giving schemes. It will also ensure that each partnership is maximised and aligned with Hearing Dogs’ mission and fundraising goals.

The post-holder will work closely with internal teams and corporate supporters to deliver engaging campaigns, employee fundraising, volunteering opportunities and impactful communications that help raise income and awareness for the charity.

It is a role that will require excellent stewardship, creativity and commercial awareness skills for mutual value – that means you will need strong relationship management and excellent communication skills. A background in corporate fundraising will be essential, alongside the ability to identify and maximise the potential of corporate support opportunities, including financial and in-kind support. You will also have experience of managing charity-of-the-year partnerships or working with employee fundraising programmes.

• Plan and project manage the Excellence Network Awards, creating and leading the delivery group.

• Build awareness of the Awards with key teams and maximise external opportunities.

• Engage and coordinate our judging process including communicating with our panel

• Design and implement a fair and transparent process for nominating, shortlisting and selecting awardees ensuring it celebrates excellence in Parkinson’s care

• Develop an events plan, working with internal and external suppliers and partners.

• Oversee event logistics, (e.g. registration, catering, AV requirements and scheduling), ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and taking into consideration the needs of people with and/or affected by Parkinson’s

• Coordinate on the day event operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and addressing any issues that arise.

• Manage a set budget, and create or develop processes and maintain records for future events.

• Develop project evaluation and feedback for internal colleagues, and manage follow up communications, sharing outcomes and event highlights. 

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of planning, project managing and executing events or award ceremonies. Experience in healthcare would be highly beneficial. 

• Significant experience in project management and events, including budgeting, timeline creation and stakeholder management. 

• Highly organised and able to manage a range of activities across different teams, encouraging and motivating colleagues to support the key deliverables  and providing  updates and reports. 

• Experience in marketing and PR, especially within the context of event promotion and stakeholder engagement. 

• A keen eye for detail, ensuring all aspects of the event are executed flawlessly, from awards selection process to event logistics.

The Role: Family Services Manager

As our Family Services Manager, you will provide operational and strategic oversight of all service delivery at Home-Start Lambeth. You will be instrumental in ensuring our services deliver real value to the families we support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service Leadership: Oversee and develop service delivery, ensuring strategic and operational priorities are met.
• Team Management: Line manage and support our dedicated Family Coordinators and Volunteering Officer, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Legal Casework Manager (Helpline)

Are you aware of the significant health inequalities that people with a learning disability face in the UK and levels of avoidable deaths? Are you passionate about access to justice for the families of people with a learning disability who have died avoidably in acute healthcare settings?

We’re looking for a dedicated Legal Casework Manager (Helpline) to join our committed information and advice team covering England at Mencap on a full time (37.5 hours per week) fixed term contract for 2 years.

Here at Mencap we are a leading charity providing advice, support and opportunities to people with a learning disability across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. The role will lead on supporting families to get answers about how their loved ones died and change across the healthcare system to prevent future deaths. 

The role is flexible in terms of location, which can include home working, using Mencap’s office bases, such as in London and Peterborough, and will include some national travel, for example to inquest hearings or to meet families when needed. 

About the Role

As Legal Casework Manager (Helpline), you’ll provide advice, support, and casework assistance to families facing complex legal issues, specifically relating to people with a learning disability who have died in avoidable circumstances across England, mainly within the healthcare system. Working within a small, supportive team, you’ll manage your own caseload, contribute to the body of knowledge about avoidable deaths and help empower families to understand and exercise their rights and get answers through the inquest and other investigations processes. 

Key Responsibilities

· Provide clear, accurate, and timely legal advice and casework support for families.

· Work closely with clients, many of whom will be distressed, ensuring a sensitive, trauma informed and professional approach

· Maintain up-to-date case records and comply with quality and regulatory standards

· Support strategic litigation and advocacy efforts where appropriate

· Liaise with other charities, coroners, legal professionals, and agencies to support families to get answers

· Work towards a world where people with a learning disability are no more at risk of death in hospitals, than any other person

· Manage a team of caseworkers working across different areas of advice.

About You

We’re looking for someone:

· Legally qualified in the UK or similar jurisdiction with at least 3 years post qualification, working in either clinical negligence, inquests or inquiries. Or similar number of years working as a senior case worker in an inquest/clinical negligence/inquiries advice role.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach

· Ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and work independently

· Ability to travel effectively to support families at inquests, and to attend meetings

· A clear understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and in maintaining their emotional wellbeing in distressing situations

· Strong management skills and ability to supervise, coach and mentor colleagues. 

· Experience of accurately recording client case records and use of CRM/client database system
