• Support the design and implementation of controls to ensure compliance with donor requirements and to maintain appropriate donor stewardship, including through manuals, checklists, templates, and other tools.
• Immediately highlight any risks or discrepancies in financial records to the Finance Manager, Schools2030 • Assist with preparation and documentation for any grant audits
• Assist with preparation and documentation for the organisational audit
Grants management and compliance
• Prepare all Schools2030 donor cash requests as required by donor contracts
• Prepare all Schools2030 sub-grant agreements
• Review Schools2030 partner quarterly BvA reports, any necessary documentation checks carried out and any inconsistencies identified and reported to the Finance Manager, Schools 2030.
• Assist the Finance Manager, Schools2030 in reviewing partner budgets for proposals

Qualifications
• CCAB part qualified accountant (desirable).
Experience
• 2 years relevant experience in financial accounting and financial reporting

The Education Department develops, resources, delivers and manages the ESU’s portfolio of education programmes. Purpose of the Role

About the role

As the Project Officer you will lead and support behaviour change projects across the West Midlands and Staffordshire with schools, workplaces, job seekers and communities. Engaging with a range of key individuals and delivering walking and cycling activities such as Dr Bike sessions, led walks and rides, school assemblies and community workshops.
As part of the Active Journeys Team, you will support people to walk, wheel and cycle by promoting opportunities and help overcome barriers to active travel. Projects will include improved walking and cycling infrastructure and making it possible for every child to walk, wheel and cycle to school.

Veterinary Nurse
Chengdu Bear Rescue Centre, China

This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals pursuing a career in wildlife care and welfare. The Veterinary Nurse will work as part of a highly skilled veterinary team to ensure the care of predominantly Asiatic black bears (moon bears) and domestic cats, dogs and other small animals at our rescue centre or in the local area. Appointment is full-time (40 hours/week), five days a week (Mon-Fri) with additional overtime and on call work depending on animal caseload.
You will be based at our Chengdu Bear Rescue Centre in China. You are flexible and enjoy the challenge of working remotely and embracing new cultures. You are highly motivated, experienced and empathetic. You should be comfortable with both clinical and non-clinical work and passionate about animal welfare and people.
There is a high degree of autonomy in this position and while you will work closely with other team members (two other Veterinary Nurses and two Associate Veterinary Surgeons) you will have distinct areas of responsibility. You will contribute to the constantly evolving field of bear medicine and management and will be expected to have a high degree of clinical skill.

Requirements:
§ Qualified Veterinary Nurse with Veterinary Nursing Degree (degree level qualification in related field will be considered). A degree level education is mandatory.
§ 4 years post qualification experience is required for visa application in veterinary practice, wildlife rehabilitation, zoo medicine or a specialist referral centre.
§ A passion for teaching with the desire to motivate and inspire staff by sharing their veterinary nursing skills to develop these skills in others.
§ Must be able to commit for a minimum of 2 years.
§ Experience with multiparameter monitors including methods to measure blood pressure, capnography and pulse oximetry.
§ Passion for veterinary anaesthesia with a sound understanding of inhalational anaesthesia including how the machine and circuits used to deliver it work.
§ A sound knowledge of routine laboratory procedures and use of equipment.
