Title: Fundraising Assistant

About the role

The role of Fundraising Assistant offers an exciting opportunity for a strong administrator with an understanding and appreciation of donor value and contribution, to support Sightsavers Ireland’s Individual Giving team and lead on the administrative tasks that support fundraising efforts.

As Fundraising Assistant, you will support a wide range of fundraising campaigns and be an integral link between Sightsavers Ireland and its existing supporters as well as fostering relationships with prospective new donors.

This varied role offers the opportunity to gain critical experience across a diverse range of fundraising methods and channels, whilst supporting Sightsavers’ vision of a world where no one is blind from avoidable causes or excluded from accessing their rights because of a disability. Within the parameters of the Job Description, you will have the opportunity to shape this role, making it an excellent first-step into Fundraising and donor support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate response handling of fundraising campaigns and manage thank-you processes with service providers
• Follow up on unprocessed donations and handle cheque logging and dispatch
• Maintain accurate donor records across systems and databases
• Support inbound donor queries via phone and email, arranging follow-ups as needed
• Assist with fundraising activities, including in-person donor visits
• Manage administrative tasks such as purchase orders, invoices, and stationery
• Support database updates and campaign coordination, including tax and digital activities
• Update and enhance data files for fundraising campaigns
• Liaise with fulfilment house to manage donor materials and mailings
• Provide general administrative support to the Individual Giving team

Flexible working

The Fundraising Assistant needs to work from our office in Dublin at least three times per week, to support key operational activities that need to be completed in person. The Role

What will I be doing?

Working for our Strategic Implementation Manager the focus will be on supporting our affiliated schools and the broader physics teaching community. These priorities could change as our work programme evolves. Initial key responsibilities of the role include:

• Providing project support and coordination for projects across the department working in tandem with the Strategic Implementation Manager.
• Contact and communications administration for our Professional Community of Teaching, including through Salesforce.
• Managing relationships with affiliated schools and supporting plans for growth.

Projects you work on may include:

• Coordinating events for teachers and other key groups. This will involve managing event bookings, liaising with event venues and event contributors, following budgets, liaising with colleagues for promotion and evaluating impact.
• Sending out regular newsletters to teachers. Working with the Managers this will require maintenance of mailing lists and the distribution of electronic newsletters.
• Collating data from our communities, including from surveys and forum discussions.
• Supporting the coordination of the IOP Teacher Awards scheme.

Who will I work with?

You will be line managed by the Strategic Implementation Manager and support the Manager Education Community in the delivery of their projects.

About the role

The Customer Insight and Analysis team champions insight-led decision-making at British Heart Foundation (BHF). As our Research Manager, you will act as a strategic insight partner to teams across BHF including brand and marketing, fundraising, retail and medical. You will play a vital role delivering insight that directly informs strategic and operational decisions, such as by helping colleagues access the insight they need to grow, innovate and improve our products and services.

You will lead a wide variety of research projects end-to-end, including designing research approaches and materials, conducting fieldwork and analysis, and delivering findings. You will manage both in-house and outsourced quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods projects, with responsibility for stakeholder engagement, procurement and quality assurance.

Working Arrangements

We are recruiting two roles: one permanent and one 12-month fixed term contract.

Campaign for Better Transport is the leading national charity championing the need for integrated, sustainable and affordable transport. We're hiring: Interim Director of Research (Maternity Cover)

We are looking for an Interim Director of Research (Maternity Cover) who will lead a talented research team of staff and associates providing direction and oversight for a diverse, ambitious research portfolio. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play an essential role in strategy and have a hands-on approach from quality assurance and developing research practice, to managing projects and nurturing partnerships.

You will need to have deep roots in qualitative research, as well as the work of charities and funders, with experience of line management, team supervision and leading on new work development.

You will play an essential role at a key moment for IVAR. Charities are facing mounting pressures and ongoing complexities, and IVAR’s work is critical in supporting the response.

At the Institute for Voluntary Action Research (IVAR), we work with charities, foundations and public agencies to strengthen UK communities through action research. We champion the role and contribution of the voluntary sector. We listen, learn and share what helps – and what gets in the way – so that funders and decision-makers can put charity voice at the heart of change.

As Interim Director of Research, you will lead a motivated and talented team of research staff and freelance research associates. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing a strategic and balanced research portfolio, including leadership of project design and new work development.

About the role

Reporting in to the MEAL Lead, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Officer will support Christian Aid’s MEAL work for the Multi-Country Cluster region (MCC), working across all types of humanitarian, development and advocacy programmes in MCC 
countries to provide high quality, coherent and consistent work. 

The post-holder will assist in the development, implementation and monitoring of Christian Aid, donor and sector MEAL approaches and requirements, providing effective and timely support (including capacity building) to programme staff and partner organisations, maximising impact. 

The role will ensure high quality internal and external reporting using digital technology and decolonised methodologies in MEAL across all Christian Aid programmes, as well as develop and embed relevant international policies, tools, frameworks and support annual Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) audit processes, including evidence mapping and documentation, ensuring coherency and consistency.
 

Some of the main responsibilities of the MEAL Officer include:

• Project proposals prepared based on strong planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures including reporting requirements to maximise impact. 
• Support appropriate MEAL plans to be developed and implemented with partners and staff.
• Demonstrate collaboration with others and building relationships based on trust and openness.
• Provide support to partners to develop periodic progress reports and provide analysis for programme decisions and advocacy purposes to maximise impact.

Fundraising and Impact Lead

Salary: £31,625 - £34,106 pro-rata (depending on experience and FTE)

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract, with a possibility of a further 6 month extension depending on organisational need 

Start Date: Early December 2025 (Specific date to be agreed)

Location: This is a blended-working role with two days per week at our office in Finsbury Park (Tuesday-Thursday) during term time and the flexibility to work from home during school holidays. Occasional travel to schools and events will be required. 

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Our core hours are 09:30 - 16:00 from Monday to Friday. 

About the Role

The Fundraising and Impact Lead will play a key role in growing our fundraising efforts and ensuring robust impact reporting. As we move into the next phase of our 5 Year Strategy, this is an exciting time to work across two strategic priority areas and contribute to our partnership’s success. 

As an organisation we are focused on developing our fundraising programme, and you will take an active part in identifying and researching potential donors, developing solicitation plans, and supporting the preparation of bids, reports, and core fundraising materials. 

As the organisation transitions to a new Salesforce environment, this role will support the continued maintenance of our existing system and its users. This role will be instrumental in ensuring operational continuity by managing data effectively and supporting the users of the system, including generating insightful reports, and maintaining system performance during the interim period with the support of an external partner.

This role is suitable for somebody who combines analytical problem solving skills with excellent relationship management, and approaches both with meticulous attention to detail. We are looking for someone who is proactive in refining systems and dashboards, and can work confidently with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong willingness to take ownership of their learning and development, actively seeking out opportunities to grow their skills and stay ahead of emerging trends.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Innovation and Fundraising Manager, the Fundraising and Impact Lead will have the following key areas of responsibility and will be expected to undertake other responsibilities commensurate with the role as requested:

Securing funding support

• Take an active role in pipeline research and identifying donors to pursue.

• Develop prospect solicitation plans, working with senior team members to implement them.

• Support the development of written bids and reports.

• Develop core assets to support our fundraising efforts.

Donor management

• Maintain accurate donor records, ensure prompt acknowledgement of donations and all reporting requirements are met.

• Ensure that funders are receiving all necessary comms, including updates, new CP reports, and invitations to events, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Lead.

Fundraising tracking and impact reporting

• Support the development of fundraising systems to track income and key relationships, maintaining and developing dashboards and reports, and supporting the team to make best use of data.

• Work across the team to gather impact data as required for bids and reporting, devising systems to streamline this.

Data management

• Complete regular imports to keep our data up to date.

• Ensure data integrity through data cleansing, deduplication, and validation tasks.

• Monitor system usage and user activities to ensure compliance with data policies.

• Support with data analysis requests to demonstrate our impact as an organisation, utilising Excel / Google Sheets.

CRM maintenance

• Coordinate with external developers to resolve any issues reported by users, and ensure the smooth running of our integrated systems (e.g. FormAssembly, Zapier).

• Support end-user training and onboarding to promote best practices.

• Create and maintain reports and dashboards, assisting the team where necessary.

• Some experience with Salesforce, including knowledge of basic terminology, and experience with integrated platforms, such as FormAssembly and Zapier

• Some knowledge of report and dashboard building in Salesforce / Excel / Google Sheets.

• Able to use formulas in Excel / Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis.

• An ability to effectively translate technical aspects to stakeholders of varying experience level.

This role is an integral role in a dynamic, international team and a fantastic opportunity for a driven and analytical senior researcher to manage the Trust’s philanthropy, prospect and due diligence research.

The role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the research strategy of the Global Engagement Team and the delivery of a high quality, in-house research service to the Warden (CEO), Trustees and senior leadership of the Rhodes Trust, in support of fundraising towards the Trust’s 125th Anniversary Campaign goal of £200 million and increased alumni and friends of Rhodes engagement. The role includes line management of two Research Associates.

The role will be responsible for;

· Managing research output to support the GET team mission.

· Managing the delivery of all briefing materials for the Warden’s Office, Trustees and senior leadership team (SLT) to support stakeholder engagement, events and travel.

· Lead tailored research projects for key global regions in co-ordination with GET senior leadership and to support Campaign Committee. Pro-actively identify potential prospects, donors, partners and volunteers for the Trust for inclusion within fundraising pipelines

· Manage a varied portfolio of research resources and processes, including scoping materials, briefings and profiles, reports, network mapping, regional insights/analysis, philanthropic trends/issues, and country-specific content.

· In collaboration with the International & Special Projects Lead (Warden/CEO Office) and GET senior leadership, support the strategy, planning and delivery of all global travel for the Warden and fundraising team, including objectives/goals, itinerary design, identifying engagement opportunities and delivery of all associated research materials.

· Responsible for all in-house due diligence research prepared for the Warden and SLT in respect to risks and sensitivities surrounding donation acceptance, and management of the Trust’s submissions to Oxford University’s Committee to Review Donations as the university’s primary point of contact.

As Head of Impact & Quality, you’ll lead the department that covers impact measurement, evaluation of our programmes, data management, curriculum development, training and quality of tutors and other initiatives that drive the evidence-based culture of Action Tutoring.
