We are recruiting a Children’s support Worker to provide high quality support to children and mothers who have been affected by any violence against women and children (VAWG), including domestic violence. You will provide non-judgmental emotional and practical support, working with mothers and their children to develop joint support and risk management plans. You will facilitate a coordinated multi agency response with a wide range of statutory and voluntary services,
Methodical and well-organised, you will have significant proven experience of providing direct emotional, practical and welfare support to survivors of VAWG and their children. You will be experienced in identifying and responding to the risks to and needs of women and children affected by VAWG. You will have proven experience of advocating to statutory agencies in a multi-agency setting in order to secure safeguarding outcomes for children affected by violence against women and children. You will have a demonstrable ability to use Microsoft Office, excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player.

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Women in Prison’s Advocates deliver high-quality, trauma-informed, independent advocacy for women in communities and in prisons, which focuses on early intervention, and holistic provision as part of a ‘whole system’ multi-agency response that looks to address the root causes of women’s offending.

About the role
It’s an exciting and important time for our charity as we work to help more people out of homelessness and poverty as part of an ambitious strategy.
The newly created role of Federation Development Lead will sit within the Partnerships and Federation Development directorate, to support the delivery of key charity and federation-wide objectives, as part of our mission to empower people affected by homelessness and poverty to change their lives for the better while using our voice to achieve social change.
The principal responsibility will be to support our ambition to become a best practice national body, responsible for leading on and supporting the development of key projects within Emmaus UK and the wider federation.
This will include providing leadership to support Emmaus communities across the UK to prepare and respond to the introduction of the Supported Housing (Regulatory Oversight) Act, you will require an understanding and commitment to best practice and legislative requirements related to the provision of supported housing, with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into user friendly support, training, guidance and policies and procedures
The role will also provide a critical role in the implementation and delivery of Emmaus UK’s ambitious plans to seek registration as a provider of social housing. You will provide the project management and technical skills required to support the successful delivery of the application process, ensuring that risk and regulatory requirements are considered and acted upon at each stage, maintaining strong communication with key stakeholders externally and across the federation.
As the Federation Development Lead, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth and development of the Emmaus movement within the UK, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement, and supporting the overall success of the federation. Your role will involve supporting the development and delivery of strategic plans, programme design and implementation, stakeholder management, and continuous evaluation and improvement of developed initiatives.
Working with the Director of Partnerships and Federation Development and wider Senior Leadership Team, the role will be central to the delivery of strategic objectives related to the development of the movement.

Finance Administration

- Oversee and manage receipts from online sources (e.g. Just Giving, PayPal etc)

- Responsible for all PAYE and NI reporting requirements and payments of any related liabilities in a timely manner where applicable
- Co-ordinate and update cash flow reporting and forecasting
- Monitor bank position and ensuring adequate cash funds are maintained to enable the charity to function in an efficient and effective manner
- Assist the Finance Manager with the preparation of information for annual audit and support external auditors as required

Project Manager and Catchment Partnership (CaBA) Host

Purpose of the job
We are recruiting an enthusiastic and committed individual to fulfil the combined role of project manager for the Roding Rises project, and catchment partnership co-host for the Roding, Beam and Ingrebourne catchment partnership. The Roding Rises is an ambitious 3-year project funded through The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to deliver the following key outcomes:
- Raise the value placed on the river Roding by the local community through a river connection programme of engagement events that will work with urban and rural communities throughout the Roding catchment.
- Raise protection of the river Roding through a citizen science action programme, giving communities and catchment partners the data and knowledge to advocate for the river, and through a masterplan for the lower Roding, which will influence and inform future development.
- Raise the quality of the habitat in and along the river through the delivery of a significant capital river restoration scheme and a catchment grants programme, so the river brings maximum benefits to both people and wildlife.
- Deliver a legacy for the river Roding by integrating the outputs of The Roding Rises with ambitions of the wider catchment partnership and using the project as a springboard for leveraging further catchment-scale restoration work.
The Roding Rises Project Manager will work alongside a multidisciplinary Thames21 team to ensure each element of the project is delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum impact.
Within the role of co-host of the Roding, Beam and Ingrebourne Catchment Partnership, this position will help develop and advance the namesake catchment’s action plan through building the partnership, facilitating knowledge exchange between various partners, and working across the partnership to develop and successfully fundraise for river & catchment improvement projects.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Oversee the delivery of ‘The Roding Rises’ project, ensuring each work programme delivers its required goals on time, within budget and with maximum impact.
- Work with The Roding Rises admin and finance officer to ensure the smooth administration and reporting of the project.
- Develop and oversee the administration of The Roding Rises grants scheme.
- Support the Roding Rises Engagement, Evidence and River Restoration leads with the administration and coordination of their direct areas of work.
- Line manage and oversee the work of the Roding Rises Reporting and Finance Officer.
- Work with Catchment Partners and Thames21 support functions, to identify, scope and develop river and catchment improvement projects which are realistic and fundable, thereby enabling the implementation of the Catchment Partnership’s Objectives and Catchment Action Plans to meet national environmental objectives.
