We have been at the forefront of adoption services for over 60 years, working with local authorities across the country.  With our outstanding rating with Ofsted, we work with a high degree of flexibility and innovation and with a range of adopters from all backgrounds and provide a range of Adoption Support services to families to support them on their adoption journey. 

We are delighted to have secured funding to set up and establish a robust impact and data collection process and database so that clear outcomes can be measured and collected for the different areas within our adoption support services. This is a new role and the postholder will play a key part in delivering on this work.

Working alongside Adoption Support colleagues, the Database Officer will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the database, ensuring data is kept up to date as well as inputting, monitoring and evaluating data and service user details.  They will also contribute to the collection of feedback and case studies from service users.

The Database Officer will produce comprehensive and tailored reports using both qualitative and quantitative data, derived from the new monitoring and evaluation system.  These evidence-based reports are produced for a variety of audiences and will contribute to evidencing the effectiveness of PACT’s adoption support services.

We are looking for someone with previous experience in an administrative support role, with database and/or data capture administration experience.  To succeed in this role, you will be proficient in producing reports from a database with a keen eye for accuracy and detail and have strong data analysis skills with an ability to derive meaningful insights.

About Us

The Upper Room (TUR) works with a wide range of financially and socially disadvantaged groups including homeless people, people with long-term mental health conditions, asylum-seekers, refugees and ex-offenders – helping them to improve their lives and become productive members of society. Central to our offering is our UR4Meals service, providing free, home-cooked food to people who cannot afford to provide for themselves. We are also very proud of our UR4Driving programme, which supports people recently out of prison with free driving lessons in exchange for community volunteering. Gaining a driving licence greatly enhances their future employability prospects and helps break the cycle of re-offending. Additionally, our UR4Jobs project focusses on both client wellbeing and breaking down the many barriers to employment faced by disadvantaged people every day.

The role

Is an exciting new edition to the TUR team, created to capitalise on the fact that the number of businesses in our catchment area is 45000+, but we’re not trying to talk to all of them, just target a few – ideally by gaining referrals and recommendations. About You

BIAS is a local charity which has supported England’s largest Irish community in Brent for over forty-five years. The community engagement coordinator will work as part of a team of new community engagement service working across East, West and South London. The key aims of this new service are to build relationships with specialist providers across south, west, and east London, where our services are clustered, to develop a menu of enhanced support opportunities to meet survivors’ social, health and financial needs.

This is a very important role in Refuge, which will make a real difference to the lives of the women and children that Refuge supports every day. Together as a team, you will create pathways to decrease social inclusion, increase participation in community activities, employment, education and training. You will be skilled at working with a diverse range of audiences and will be adept at creating and developing new partnerships and pathways that improve the lives of survivors of domestic abuse and gender-based violence.
