Cord currently operates with a team of 32 staff across five countries. There is a small team in the UK of mostly home workers and there is an admin office in Coventry where essential functions are performed. Meet–ups between UK team members take place in and around the Coventry office. This role will provide logistical support for team meet-ups in the UK and will manage the admin office. In addition the Administrator will provide general operational support to the Leadership Team.
Cord has a loyal and committed UK supporter base consisting of individuals, churches and other groups. A key part of this role is to process donations from supporters and update the donor database. Keeping accurate records of donations helps Cord’s fundraising team to deliver excellent supporter care.
This role would suit someone who is proactive and can anticipate the needs of others, someone who is well organised, can maintain accurate records and follow processes in an organised and timely way.
Job Purpose:

St Werburghs Community Association is in the final year of its current four year Business Plan. We are now working on organisational development, which includes Digital Project (commissioning of a new booking and service monitoring software), Strategy and Board Development, Marketing and Digital Inclusion Plan, Finance and HR training, as well as Team Building activities.
With current challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, such as loss of trading income and continuous demands on services we are looking for an experienced Strategy, Evaluation and Fundraising Associate to work with the Centre Team and Board of Trustees to complete an evaluation of existing work and plan for the imminent future assuring the Centre’s sustainability. The work will also include writing and submitting funding bids to ensure continuation of SWCA’s core services and further development of the organisation going into the next Business Plan period 2021-2025.
Applicants should be available for a period of 30 days between February and July 2021 to support the organisation. The timeframe greatly depends on the grants proposals and deadlines. All preparation, strategy sessions with the Board and evaluation of services will need to happen before the end of March 2021, with fundraising focus from April to July 2021.
About St Werburghs Community Association
Established in 1971, St Werburghs Community Association aims to manage the Community Centre building, develop its services and ensure it meets the demands, and needs, of local people. In 1999 the Association took over the management of the Centre from the local authority and completed Asset Transfer and an over £1m Capital Project in 2010, which resulted in construction of a four-room eco-friendly annexe, doubling up on the lettable spaces and making the main Victorian building more energy efficient and fully accessible. The Centre is one of Bristol’s busiest, most loved and inclusive community buildings.
In the last 10 years the Centre has grown from strength to strength, developing the facilities, which now include six large multipurpose rooms available to hire on hourly basis, a catering kitchen, seven office spaces, an outdoor seating, growing and play area, an Open Access Computer lab, a café and a central Reception from which SWCA delivers a range of Signposting and Advice services. Services we offer to meet community needs includes weekly cooking and gardening courses, one to one computer support, employability support/advice, Tai Chi, stay and play and much more. Most recently due to Covid-19 we have a telephone befriending service, food bank and a community outreach programme. Role and responsibilities
The Strategy, Fundraising and Evaluation Associate will support SWCA in building a sustainable financial, business, engagement and development plan. The Role

The Publications and Editorial Coordinator is a critical part of the communications team, which sits within the wider Policy, Advocacy and Communications division. The post-holder will:
- Coordinate the planning, editing and production of Saferworld publications and resources, working with Saferworld teams in our various offices and external freelance copyeditors, proofreaders, designers and printers.
- Ensure high-quality editorial standards across Saferworld’s communications and publications, through the use of editing and proofreading skills throughout the production process and ensuring editorial standards are accessible and understood across the organisation.
- Support the communications team in producing material – including editing and proofreading content, and some copywriting – such as case studies, blog pieces, external and internal newsletters, social media and comment pieces for a range of audiences.
- With the Communications team, coordinate the dissemination of publications.
You will have:
- Proven professional copyediting and proofreading skills with an excellent understanding of grammar, the principles of clear writing and working to a style guide.
- Significant experience in a publications or editorial role, ideally within the NGO sector.
- Experience of producing publications in a multilingual environment with teams across different time zones.
- Relevant qualification in publishing/communications or related field.

Mencap are looking for a hard-working and passionate Events Officer who will play a pivotal part in supporting our fantastic fundraisers to meet their fundraising targets on events such as the Virgin Money London Marathon, Great North Run and Royal Parks Half Marathon. In this varied role, no two days will be the same, you will be involved in marketing events, recruiting and stewarding events participants and will create touchpoints to engage supporters and advise them on how to get the most out of their fundraising.
This role is a full time (37.5 hrs per week) fixed term contract for 12 months. The role will be based at our Centre of Engagement in Central London, but will be home working until we can return to the offices safely.
