Bluesci operates across the borough of Trafford from four Wellbeing Centres, offering arts, cultural and volunteering opportunities, social prescribing, talking therapies, and group support. We partner with Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Trust (GMMH) to deliver Trafford Living Well and with Trafford Libraries to co-deliver library services from two of our centres. Bluesci at Night offers a safe, welcoming space for people 365 nights a year, and we also provide Smoking Cessation Support.
Peer support Workers hold a key position in the Trafford Living Well service, working with individuals and groups, to help people to reach their individual recovery goals.
Peer support workers support individuals to establish greater control over their lives, helping to identify aspects of life that give meaning, hope, value and purpose whilst recognising that everyone’s recovery is a uniquely personal process.
As an integral and valued member of the multi-agency team, the post holder will support team members by role modelling and using lived experience of mental health services to shape the service's quality.

Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) runs a curriculum of free peer and professional-led workshops and courses across the borough of Bromley. Our aim is to enable students to achieve greater insight into their own mental wellbeing and gain skills to help them achieve personal goals, independence and self-management of their own mental health.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bromley Recovery and Wellbeing College Manager to join SEL Mind on a one year fixed-term basis. You will be a strategic planner, responsible for reviewing, implementing and managing the significant development of Bromley’s Recovery and Wellbeing College (BRWC) You will design and oversee the delivery of quality-assured courses in response to wider local need, providing equity in opportunities and lead on delivering a successful shared vision for the BRWC. The role comes with line management responsibility for a BRWC Coordinator and an administrator, ensuring operational support for the day to day delivery and efficient running of the college as well as support for tutors and students.
You will work closely alongside SEL Mind colleagues as well as our Bromley Mental Health Hub partners Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will also use strong partnership working skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the borough.
You will have experience of successfully delivering learning to others and of line management in a busy, fast paced environment. A strategic, proactive approach to problem solving and planning as well as excellent organisational skills are a must. Confidence to communicate effectively with a wide range of people is also required.
Hybrid working is considered in line with our policies and needs of the service. Occasional out-of-hours work is required to support the team delivering courses outside of core office hours.

SEL Mind are working in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust to deliver the Bromley Mental Health Hub (BMHH), as part of the ongoing transformation of mental health services in the London Borough of Bromley. The service integrates the expertise of local primary, secondary, and voluntary sector providers to offer flexible, holistic and person-centred support for adults experiencing mental health difficulties.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Manager to join the BMHH team on a one year fixed-term basis. During the fixed-term period, the post holder will lead on reviewing, strengthening and developing the peer support pathway. You will play a key role in shaping support for our clients that enhances quality of life, choice and opportunity. You’ll be integral in leading the pathway to achieve its objectives to help clients improve confidence and resilience, reduce social isolation and encourage independence and integration into their local community.
In addition, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational delivery of peer support in the BMHH, including line management of a Senior Peer Support Coordinator who oversees delivery of both one-to-one and group-based peer support, delivered by the wider peer support team. The role also holds responsibility for supporting the team in dealing with risk and safeguarding matters that may arise. Occasional out-of-hours work may also be required to support the team in their group delivery outside of core office hours.
The role requires excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a commitment to recovery-focused practice, and the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with SEL Mind colleagues and within a multidisciplinary team in partnership with Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. You will have strong line management experience and experience of delivering peer support services, including experience of working with people who have complex or heightened needs. You will also possess a strong understanding of the principles of peer support.

Recovery Support Workers (Mental Health) - Recovery House
Birmingham, West Midlands
Salary: £24,570 (£12,285 pro rata for 18.75 hours positions)

The Recovery House is a brand new, exciting and innovative service for Birmingham Mind and is an opportunity to create a flagship standard of support and care for those in mental health crisis. The Recovery House is commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust and is part of their Urgent Care pathway. Working closely with the Recovery House Team, the role is pivotal to the effective and safe delivery of the service.
About the role
The role of Recovery Support Worker will work as part of a team in our regulated services and is an important role for the delivery of recovery-based and prevention services within Birmingham Mind. The role will be central to the smooth running of the 24/7 service provided by Recovery House.
You will support the Waking Night team of Recovery Support Workers in providing a continuous and safe delivery of support, always ensuring high quality and person-centred care. Ensuring that compliance and adherence to CQC standards is upheld and provide appropriate information to managers. You will work in a person-centred way alongside colleagues an NHS clinical partners to de-escalate mental health crisis and help service users to return home and be pivotal in the provision of a welcoming, calm and safe environment.
The Recovery Support Worker will support the team in mobilising the service and work in a way that conforms with the expectations of the CQC, NHS and Birmingham Mind standards. You will take an active part in all appropriate meetings and create and implement service user assessments and support practices.
About you
You will need to be skilful in quickly developing strong relationships with users of the service and able to support the de-escalation of crisis and the provision of a calm and supportive environment; delivering person centred interventions.
We are looking for someone who experience in delivering services in a CQC regulated residential or supported living environment, who has experience of working in partnership with key stakeholders and partner organisations. You will be knowledgeable in and committed to the “Recovery Model "of mental health support and be experienced in delivering person centred care. You will be able to provide a caring and compassionate care to service users, with the ability to provide and maintain a high-quality environment at short notice.
This role will involve working on a rota, including some evenings and weekends.

About the role...
We are currently recruiting for a part time (22.5 hours p/week) Recovery Coordinator to join our North Yorkshire Horizons service in Selby.
North Yorkshire Horizons is a service made up of several key partners including Waythrough, enabling the development of a peer led, recovery community. Providing a safe environment in which people can develop the life skills, and confidence to achieve and maintain recovery and abstinence from their substance misuse, successfully re-integrate into society, and become active, contributing citizens.
You will be required to provide holistic support to adult service users receiving substance misuse treatment, both within the Selby based Hub and support them to move through their recovery orientated journey into sustained recovery by achieving positive treatment outcomes within Selby and surrounding areas.
As directed by the Project Manager/Lead Practitioner, the Recovery Coordinator will be an integral member of the dynamic multi agency team developing and delivering comprehensive and tailored individual interventions that will include delivery of a full range of structured, psychosocial and clinical support. The post calls for close co-operation with other professionals such as GP’s, practice nurses and pharmacists and will involve delivering clinics from host environments/GP practices.

The post holder will be expected to work closely with appropriate partners and stakeholders within office based, community and outreach settings.

Job Purpose
This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.
Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.
The objectives of the service include:
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
- To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
- To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
- To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
- To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
- To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
- To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis via a drop-in service.
- To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
The Role
The role of the support workers will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing.

We are looking for someone to join our Mental Health Floating Support Team as a Floating Support Worker. Working across North and East Bristol you will be joining a team busy developing a ‘Help When You Need It’ approach, providing time limited key working support to clients from 3 months up to a year at a time.
In the role of Floating Support Worker, you will work 9-5 hours Monday Friday; working with clients in the community and in their own homes:
- Manage a case load of around 16 clients, ensuring that each client is provided with person centred support and is empowered to be active in their community, with strong support networks to support ongoing recovery.
- Working with clients to create person centred support plans.
- Providing advice and support to clients so ensure they can access health care to improve mental and physical health; manage their benefits, sustain housing, build a home; and have access work, training and other opportunities.
- Build effective relationships with a variety of internal and external people to ensure clients have access to the support they need.

About the role
Our residents in this service have experienced long-term street homelessness and have faced significant challenges including with their mental health, substance use, and alcohol dependency, and struggled to sustain engagement with support services. That's why they're here, to make a change and gain the support they need to enable greater independence and recovery.
In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals.
About you

Purpose of the role:
We are looking for 2 Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator’s to join our team.
The Mental Health Personal Independence Co-ordinator (MHPIC) will work as part of the MHPIC team and will work alongside clinical and social care professionals in local multi-disciplinary teams assigned to specific GP surgeries. Each MHPIC will be assigned to a specific locality located within the Integrated Care Network Plus health and social care systems in either North, Central or South Croydon. The multi-disciplinary team learning and development during the initial two-year test period will inform the development and growth of the MHPIC team to ensure that it can support community-based mental health and wellbeing across the whole population and in all 6 Integrated Care Network Plus localities.
MHPICs will provide initial contact and assessment conversations with clients using Open Dialogue tools and techniques to enable people to develop their own Personal Recovery Plans and supporting them directly over a period of time to find and access the support and services available to them in their local community.
Each MHPIC will be the direct named key worker for a set number of people who are referred to the service by healthcare professionals, including GPs, Mental Health Practitioners & Health Care Assistants, Social Prescribers and other voluntary or community sector organisations. They will provide one-to-one support in the achievement of an individual’s recovery goals, ensuring that support is person- centred; that needs and wishes are identified by people themselves; that they have a stronger voice in relation to issues that affect their lives; and that they are supported and empowered to improve and/or maintain their mental health and wellbeing and to live their best independent lives.
Support in the community includes home visits. The aim of home visits is to assess clients' strengths and needs and link these to agency and community resources, and to ensure that individual clients’ needs can be met within a risk-assessed policy approach.

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team based in RBKC to support our residents who have multiple and complex needs which could include mental health, substance use, homelessness, and/or offending backgrounds. You will support in providing our residents with the support needed to help them overcome their personal barriers, and achieve their goals in a person centred approach. You will work within a residential setting, creating a safe and comfortable space which our residents can call their homes during their time within the service. The role includes:
- Supporting residents with daily tasks

Main Purpose of the Job
Mind in the City, Hackney and Waltham Forest, working in partnership with Turning Point and Antidote, provide the City and Hackney Recovery service. A full integrated service, shaped by the community needs and voices of service users, carers, families, & communities, all staff and volunteers will contribute to substance misuse recovery, social inclusion and improving the quality of life of all our service users in the City of London and Hackney borough. This Recovery Worker role will support male service users on the non-opiate pathway and keywork a caseload, supporting service users to decide their goals around treatment and develop plans to achieve these. The caseload would consist primarily of male service users with complexities such as mental health complexities, prior criminal conviction, and external risk factors.
Please note that this role is only available to male candidates under the Genuine Occupational Requirement, under s9 Equalities Act 2010.
