Services Marketing and Communications Officer
Salary: starting at £24,724 FTE per annum to £26,370* FTE per annum
Additionally, £480 home-based allowance FTE per annum, Grade 2, point 16-18

The Services Marketing and Communications Officer is responsible for developing and delivering marketing and communications plans to support specific service KPI’s and objectives.
The successful candidate will be a marketing and communications all-rounder, with a working understanding of brand, marketing, communications, media relations, PR and social media relating to services, and able to work with marcomms colleagues to support services through these channels.
Main Responsibilities:
· Develop and deliver bespoke marketing and communications plans and activities specific to particular Family Action services and targeted at their audiences (public and professional).
· Develop marketing collateral, press releases, guides/toolkits, adverts, articles for professional magazines, e-bulletins/newsletters, web pages, events, etc.
· Ensure all services marketing activity is brand compliant and aligned to Family Action’s corporate priorities, as well as meeting the needs of the specific service.
· Manage the production of marketing collateral using design tools/software and/or Family Action templates. This will include copywriting, proof reading, image selection.
· Liaison with and management of external suppliers, such as designers and printers, when appropriate. Management of the production process on behalf of the service/s you work for and budget management.
Main Requirements (for details check the job description and person specification):
· Demonstrable experience of developing and delivering a range of successful marketing and communications activity across multiple channels and for a variety of stakeholders.
· Experience of working within a corporate visual identity and translating that for multiple uses.
· Experience of materials development, e.g. writing, editing, proofreading, design (including the use of design software).
· Some understanding of website design and delivery, e.g. developing content, navigation, accessibility, SEO.
· Experience of managing external consultants and suppliers, e.g designers, printers.
· Experience of managing projects to be delivered on time and in budget.
· A marketing or design qualification or similar experience, and evidence of a commitment to continuing learning and professional development.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Interest in the charity sector and social impact.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the fight for mental health and wellbeing across Cwm Taf Morgannwg and play a vital role within our communities as a Counsellor. This role will be providing maternity cover on a temporary basis and will be a rolling contract
Our Counsellors are a lifeline to people in need of talking treatment providing a safe clinical space for individuals to speak out about negative life events and take back control of their lives. We are now recruiting a qualified counsellor to offer life-changing, talking treatments to adults experiencing mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing needs in GP practices across the Rhondda to temporarily provide maternity cover. You will need to be confident in delivering person-centred counselling /psychotherapy to adults in the medium of their choice face to face, online and telephone contract.

Role Purpose
· Face to face, online and telephone counselling
· To ensure that all face to face, online and telephone counselling appointments are ethical, and safe in line with best practice recommendations from BACP, NCS and UKCP
· To work in partnership with GP practices and Primary Care Mental Health Support Services, liaising and nurturing key relationships, e.g. GP Practice leads to ensure positive outcomes for people who use our counselling services
· To maintain accurate data and client records in line with GDPR, GP requests and the Mind Quality Mark

Main duties and responsibilities
To uphold and promote best practice in the delivery of high-quality person-centred counselling / psychotherapy services to ensure all Cwm Taf Morgannwg Mind services are safe, ethical and client centred in line with the Mind Quality Mark.
To accurately capture data taking direction from the Counselling supervisor, and colleagues in Primary Care to ensure robust quality monitoring is undertaken and all patient notes accounted for in the delivery of counselling /psychotherapeutic services.
In collaboration with internal and external colleagues to explore how we can improve the counselling / psychotherapeutic experience for people who use our services, implementing recommendations and learning from clinical supervision, team meetings, line management meetings, and your own reflections to improve and refine your professional counselling practice. To ensure the continuous development and sustainability of our services for all in need.

About this role:
As Together Through Homelessness Coordinator, you’ll:
- deal with enquiries from a variety of key stakeholders, to contribute to the successful day-to-day delivery of our vet scheme,
- support dog owners who are experiencing homelessness to register their dogs on the scheme, and signpost them to other support services sensitively and tactfully,
- carry out key processes to ensure the efficient running of our schemes, from checking microchip details to discussing complex cases with our Vet team,
- ensure administration processes are completed efficiently, keeping accurate records at all times.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of supporting people in vulnerable situations or personal crisis, including having challenging conversations. You'll also need excellent interpersonal skills, combined with experience in customer service to ensure all individuals accessing our services have a positive experience, and be empathetic, compassionate, and resilient. This is particularly important due to the emotionally demanding nature of the work the team does, understanding the importance of building trust with those experiencing homelessness is essential.

The Outreach team run several projects supporting pet owners experiencing homelessness or in housing crisis across the UK. This includes Freedom, a specialist dog fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse, and our Pets and Housing projects. Our Pets and Housing projects consist of our Together Through Homelessness vet scheme and the endorsement scheme, Pet-Friendly Housing pilot (Scotland) and the pet friendly housing website, and pet foodbank pilots.

Working arrangements
This is 12 month fixed term contract covering family leave.
- This is a field-based role covering South East Wales. You will need to live in South East Wales or be able to relocate to this region.

- There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

The Bereavement Support Service at St Mungo’s is available to all our clients, we offer a range of bereavement support including training, team debriefs and emotional support to colleagues and clients.
We are now looking for someone to join the team as a Bereavement Care Coordinator for a 12 month fixed term contract until 6 June 2025 (Maternity Cover).
Bereavement is cited in the top 10 reasons that contribute to homelessness; therefore, we are here to help support both clients and staff to process loss in all its complicated forms. In the role of Bereavement Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Providing 1:1 emotional support sessions and counselling to clients who have experienced bereavement.
- Support staff teams who have experienced a client death, by facilitating team emotional support sessions.
- Delivering bereavement training and providing advice and guidance to internal teams and external organisations.
In this role, you will be required to travel to different St Mungo’s services. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work from home and/or from offices based in Hackney and Clapham.
About you
We are looking for someone who holds relevant qualification in Counselling or Psychotherapy and is a registered member of a professional body (BACP, UKCP, BPS or equivalent).
- You will have a good understanding the complex needs of people experiencing homelessness and working knowledge of bereavement and organisations and agencies working with bereavement, loss and grief.
- You will be an empathetic individual, passionate about working with vulnerable people who are in personal distress.
- You will have the ability to work flexibly, able to work well on your own, know when to seek support and be willing to travel to a range of different services.

Working within the PR team, the Case Study Manager has a key role in raising our profile, improving how different audiences understand our work and building relationships with key stakeholders both regionally and nationally.
The role will need to develop strong, collaborative relationships across the organisation, including with our SSAFA volunteer network, as well as with other charitable organisations across the sector.
About the team
The PR team is a small but dynamic group of individuals with strong skillsets across press release and article writing, selling in pitches and campaign planning. The team is a mix of ex-forces and civilians, and they are always sharing knowledge and expertise with each other.
You will work closely across all directorates within SSAFA to garner information and source case studies for each of the PR needs across regions and services.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving Manager to join the Fundraising team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, for 12 months. This role is critical for the success of our income generation activities and acquisition of new supporters.
We are looking for a target driven team player who will skilfully and tactfully manage a variety of stakeholder relationships, including our face-to-face agency partners and volunteers. This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to build on successful growth of existing supporter acquisition initiatives.
About the team
This role sits within the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, you will also work collaboratively with the Individual Giving Manager – Donor Development, Individual Giving Officer, Supporter Care Co-ordinator, and the Events team. You will also work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including our Branch Network and Regional Hubs to connect with new supporters across the UK and maximise opportunities.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of:
- Experience of developing and running successful individual giving programmes to recruit new donors.
- Experience of managing external relationships at all levels, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation on costs and contracts.
- Experience of managing face-to-face fundraising programme.
- Experience of lottery fundraising.
- Experience of working with a supporter database.

The role
Salix has recently gone through a period of significant growth and is still growing, which has led to significant change. As part of our transformation, we have moved from having centralised budgets to devolved budgets, and this role will be instrumental in working with budget holders and the Finance team to ensure our budgets and reporting move with this transition.
This role will support the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to deliver a high-quality management, reporting, and business partnering service that facilitates effective business insights into our administration costs, enables effective decision support, and builds Salix’s reputation as trustworthy stewards of public money.
This is not a static ‘management reporting’ role, we are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Finance Business Partner to review, constructively challenge, and develop our processes/procedures and reports to drive this change and facilitate continuous improvement so that they are efficient and effective. It will be critical for the role holder to build a sound understanding of the business and its environment, and actively drive forward the successful management of our administration costs.
You will also lead on all aspects of the monthly management reporting including monitoring of budgets/forecasts and preparation of reports for budget holders, executive management, the Salix Board, DESNZ, and the Scottish & Welsh Governments.
Working alongside another SFBP, you will be supported by a Finance Business Partner(s) and will work closely with budget holders, DESNZ, and the Scottish & Welsh Governments, and the rest of the Finance team.
What you will need to succeed
· Practical experience of business partnering with teams outside finance, influencing as required, and ensuring teams understand the financial implications of information provided.
· Excellent budget preparation experience, challenging assumptions with budget holders, and ensuring/embedding realistic budget preparation.
· Robust experience in managing cashflows with challenging/complex variables.
· Effective, confident, and assertive communicator both in writing and when speaking.

About the role
We require someone who is able to provide a range of business support functions to the Policy, Public Affairs and Campaigns Department (PPC), specifically the reporting and monitoring of grants-funded projects delivered within PPC and the administration of grants out to partners including use of our international programme management system.
The post holder will champion ways of working across the department that align with Christian Aid's strategy and systems and work closely with the Data Strategy and Transformation Lead and relevant teams to drive operational excellence and innovation that leads to smooth and effective business processes. This will include the coordination of a new PPC quarterly dashboard to track progress, improve decision making and assess impact.
The post holder may also be asked to coordinate and administrate discrete projects within the department as required such as refreshing the departmental intranet on SharePoint or work collaboratively with colleagues under the direction of a project manager within project teams. You will also be required to act as short-term cover for the Director's Executive Assistant during periods of absence and provide administrative advice for PPC staff.
About you
To thrive in this role, you will need to be comfortable with data and applying logical thinking to gathering and analysing information including the financial data required for monitoring and budgeting. You will have the ability to switch seamlessly between core tasks and project activities. You will bring your experience in creating and using spreadsheets for financial and information management, including use of web / intranet-based systems, databases, and good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel. The Role (30hrs per week)
· To provide day to day management and supervision of our remote Support Team, providing guidance and support to deliver appropriate information and advice for our mums and families.
· Provide casework support to Mummy’s Star families.
· Work closely with the Operations Manager to implement consistent processes and ensure appropriate training and development for the Support Team.
Job Purpose & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the Support Team at Mummy’s Star. More specifically you will be responsible for:
Support Team Management (50%)
- Provide quality support, leadership, development and line management
- Oversee the delivery of individual, tailored support for families
· Regular review and assessment of caseload including co-ordinating weekly caseload meetings and management of new grant application flow to Trustees.
· Work with the support team to regularly monitor, evaluate and report on the support provided by Mummy’s Star.
· Act as Lead Professional in complex cases if required.
· Working with the CEO and Operations Manager to ensure the wider team has appropriate resources and support around wellbeing
· Complying with the charity’s administration, monitoring and financial systems
· Working in close partnership with health care professionals, charities, and other key stakeholders
· Work with the Operations Manager to develop new engagement tools for families to improve accessibility.
· Assist the team to co-ordinate the Ask the Expert events and other resources
· Contribute to, and support the development of, the charity locally, regionally, and nationally
Information and Support Casework Delivery (50%)
· Receiving referrals and assessing needs of families from contact via self referral (post, email, online and social media) and third party referrals (health care professionals, families and charities)
· Providing families with the appropriate support based on their needs, this will include 121 emotional support, signposting to financial/practical support and peer support via our online forum.
· Ensuring support to mums and families is reviewed at regular intervals.
· Maintain and monitor the online peer support forum.
Other Duties and information about the role
· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties that fall within the nature of the role and responsibilities of the post as required to support the charity and beneficiaries.
· Some evening and weekend work may be required but time off in lieu (TOIL) will be given for this.
· A DBS check will be required for this role.
