To lead the Corporate Fundraising team to raise over £1.5m annually, from existing and new corporate partners, through a clear team strategy, pipeline development, cultivating and managing high-value partnerships and supporting direct line reports.

Responsibilities:
Strategy, budgeting and reporting

Drive CALM’s corporate fundraising revenue, looking for opportunities to optimise and grow.

Use data, insight and subject matter expertise to inform strategy, budgeting and reporting.

Deliver the corporate fundraising strategy, which focuses on partnership growth and extensions, as well as winning new business - keeping CALM’s values, brand, tone of voice and objectives in mind.

Achieve the annual targets agreed for corporate fundraising.

Steer product development and ideation to develop engaging and revenue driving opportunities across corporate fundraising.

Maintain awareness of industry trends and best practice, with a view to use these to increase CALM’s income.
Leadership and Line Management

Provide regular feedback on team performance against targets to the Head of High Value Fundraising, highlighting risks, mitigation plans and future projections that can help the fundraising team budget with confidence.

Partnership Management

Support the Corporate Fundraising team in delivering excellent relationship management to all of CALM’s high value partners, with a focus on building long-term, sustainable support and revenue.

Be responsible for the creation of robust partnership plans from across the team, incorporating the objectives of both the partner and CALM and agreed, realistic fundraising targets.

Ensure partnership milestones and fundraising targets are monitored, met, reported on and celebrated with key internal and external stakeholders.

When needed, lead by example and personally provide excellent relationship management to a small number of CALM’s key high-value corporate partners significantly contributing to the corporate fundraising budget and strategy.

Confidently represent CALM at key meetings and events, where public speaking and the delivery of CALM Champion Workshops may be required.

Work closely with the Services, Data and MarComms teams to build. engaging impact reports for partners that encourage long-term support.

Devise sustainable exit strategies for partners that leave behind a lasting legacy for CALM.
New Business

Together with the Corporate Fundraising team, develop a strong pipeline of new partnership opportunities with a focus on £50k+ multi-year partnerships.

Lead on, and support the Corporate Fundraising Managers to, cultivate and secure new high-value partnerships, with a focus on five and six figure opportunities in line with our ambitious targets. This could include, but not limited to, prospect research, making proactive approaches, hosting or attending networking events, writing compelling proposals and applications, pitching, leading staff votes and leading on contract negotiations.

Role Summary
How this role fits into the vision and objectives of Causeway
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Crime Reduction Advocate within our Refocus Team based in Merseyside. Working primarily with female individuals who have been identified as being at risk to low level domestic violence. Please note due to the nature of the work there is an occupational requirement for the applicant to be female. It is key that it this project is survivor focused and looks to address abusive behaviours at their source, at an early intervention phase, via support and education. This means working with both those who have carried out such acts and those who have been made subject to them.
The successful candidate is expected to support a caseload of individuals in order to jointly assess and manage any initial risk and to ensure all safeguarding protocols have been followed. The role is not that of and IDSVA, although some of the skills will overlap, the is to provide on-going support to individuals in areas of need in which they feel dis-empowered and hence build confidence and skills. This process will happen in partnership with the organisation DMAT who will run ‘See the signs’ course which will look to educate and equip individuals to feel safe and empowered in this area. It is important to note that you may also be required to work with people displaying potentially abusive or coercive behaviours (perpetrators), offering education and support to promote long term change.

Main purpose of the post
We are seeking to appoint a Bids Manager with experience in managing the development and submissions process for successful research bids, to be part of a wider team that spearheads RUSI’s research fundraising efforts. Reporting to the Director, Research Business Development, the successful candidate will lead the process for preparing high-value bids, including drafting sections of the narrative and reviewing budgets, and be responsible for building central resources to improve and facilitate effective business development operations. This is a highly collaborative role that involves building very strong internal relationships at all levels of the organisation and with external stakeholders and skilfully managing competing priorities, personalities, and deadlines. We are seeking a team player with a pragmatic and positive attitude, who will enjoy learning about RUSI’s research areas and building stronger systems and processes to help us to make Business Development more efficient and successful.
Key tasks

For UK Government, US Government, EU and Canadian Government bids, and bids over £100,000 value to RUSI:
-
End-to-end project management of high-quality bids, including tender responses, funding applications and requests to participate.
-
Manage internal and external communications to ensure that the RUSI team, and partners, are aware of evaluation criteria, key themes, deadlines, and other critical information. Agree roles, responsibilities and timelines between key stakeholders.
-
Compile and arrange high-quality and compelling bid language working with subject matter experts, draft responses to institutional questions, and offer quality assurance ahead of submission.
-
Review project budgets to be signed off by RUSI’s COO, ensuring that they are prepared consistently and in line with RUSI policies and funder requirements, working with RUSI research teams to achieve this.

Serve as the institutional point of contact for the key funders listed above – attend Early Market Engagements/supplier events, funder events, webinars, to ensure you are up to date on their priorities and RUSI is competitive with our bids. Maintain a centralised database and disseminate up-to-date information on each funder’s practices, key dates, preferences, upcoming opportunities etc.

For all other bids, review budgets for accuracy, competitiveness and to ensure costs are in line with RUSI’s policies and previous submissions, and, once finalised, seek approval from the COO.

Work with the Director for Research Business Development, Research Directors and the Deputy Director General to identify and cultivate new relationships within each of the key funders, ensuring that we have good awareness of upcoming plans, expectations and priorities.

Facilitate links to partner organisations (primes) and build and manage consortia-based relationships to ensure we have oversight of upcoming opportunities and are able to negotiate successful partnerships.

Ensure use of best practice across research groups in our approach to bids and budgets, and that key documents, outcomes, research impact, and decisions are saved centrally for future use.

With support from the BD team, develop and execute a plan to inform, train and mentor research and central services colleagues on best practice for bids, including a focus on wider business awareness.

Respond to due diligence requests received by RUSI from research funders, ensure we have a central database of up-to-date policies and documents required to respond successfully and quickly.

Work with the Business Development team to build organisational systems and processes for effective BD, collaborate with BD colleagues to share feedback and ideas, support each other, and develop central projects to improve BD across the organisation.

Attend Business Development meetings with research groups and build strong relationships with project managers and project officers, capturing feedback and seeking input to BD processes and practices.

Manage the process for new funder approvals with the Deputy Director General.

Be a member of RUSI’s Research Committee and report on bid statuses and other relevant information when needed.

Purpose of the Post
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Research and Evaluation Manager. The primary focus will be on leading our research and evaluation to demonstrate and maximise our impact for young people, funders and wider sector stakeholders, along with driving our journey towards becoming a gold-standard learning organisation.
We are committed to putting children and young people at the heart of everything we do and making sure we learn from and continuously improve the impact of our services. This role is critical to our ability to demonstrate our impact, innovation, and thought leadership and to support our strategic goals.
We need someone who can think analytically and creatively, works collaboratively, and has a good hands-on understanding of research and evaluation methodologies and approaches. To succeed in this role, you will need to be a confident leader, experienced in a range of research approaches, have excellent project management skills, and be able to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
You must also be a skilled communicator, as comfortable building a relationship with a team member as you are liaising with our clinical colleagues, academic evaluators and funders.
Day to day, this role is pivotal to Redthread as it engages and underpins all our functions, from services, fundraising, and policy, to external communications. They will report to the Head of Policy and Research and provide expertise and specialist guidance across the organisation.

Through this role, you’ll proactively create and grow fundraising income opportunities with corporate partners and large scale, multi-year grant giving Trusts and Foundations. Key Responsibilities
· Through excellent, comprehensive, and considered research, you’ll identify and prioritise a pool of potential large scale, multi-year Trusts and Foundations funders for Horsham Matters. Working with colleagues, you’ll develop authentic, compelling, creative and winning funding bids that can successfully engage and grow these new Trusts and Foundations funders.
· You’ll proactively identify, engage and build good relationships with prospective corporate donors, successfully securing them as funding partners. Alongside this you’ll deepen engagement and grow our relationships and partnerships with existing corporate donors. You’ll develop funding and partnership proposals that can successfully engage corporate partners and align with their needs, motivations, areas of interests and values.
· You’ll lead and grow our portfolio of flagship fundraising events, helping us engage a variety of prospective and existing donors.
· You’ll lead the fundraising team and line manage the two team members (our Trusts & Foundations Officer and our Community Fundraising Assistant). Working with the fundraising team to set fundraising priorities and to ensure that we maximise our opportunities for donor stewardship, relationship management and income growth across community fundraising, individual giving, and wider trusts fundraising.
· You’ll develop, monitor and manage a fundraising portfolio establishing a fundraising pipeline, including a range of KPI’s that can be tracked and that will enable you to make informed projections regarding future income. You’ll successfully manage competing, proactive and reactive fundraising opportunities to ensure that Horsham Matters remains focused on its fundraising priorities.
Skills
· You’ll have established and proven experience of corporate partnerships and trusts and foundations fundraising. You’ll also have a good understanding of other aspects of fundraising.
· With excellent written and verbal communication and relationship management skills, you will inspire and motivate existing and prospective supporters, providing excellent stewardship and crafting compelling and winning funding proposals and appeals.
· You’ll have experience of setting, managing and reporting against fundraising KPI’s, budgets and priorities.
· You’ll have experience of line management.

Location: The post will be based primarily at Redthread’s head office in Brixton with some days at Catch 22’s central office and working from home . However, all Redthread team members must have a flexible approach to working on other sites across London when needed. As a Senior Philanthropy Manager you will cultivate and collect five and six figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and trusts and foundations, equating to £650k and £500k respectively in 2024/25.
You will also oversee our Arts Council England Funding of c.£1m p.a., and our lower level Legend individual donors at c.£50k p.a.
You will lead and inspire others in order to achieve success as a team. In order to be successful, you must have experienced :
- Proven success of securing five and six figure gifts from major donors and managing their relationships
- Proven success of securing significant funds from Trusts & Foundations and managing their relationships
- Demonstrable experience of developing and growing a pipeline and managing relationships from cultivation to solicitation and stewardship
- Proven success of identifying, recruiting, and managing Senior Volunteers
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by close, successful relationships with donors, board members, VIPs, stakeholders and senior volunteers
- Strong and effective written skills evidenced in compelling and successful proposals and impact reports, and communications with donors
- Experience of developing and implementing Philanthropy strategies
- Experience of team management
- A good understanding of charity legislation and GDPR in relation to philanthropy fundraising
