As Major Gift Development Manager, you’ll:

• Manage a portfolio of existing major donors and prospects and ensure a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey with Dogs Trust.
• Attend meetings with existing and new donors, developing bespoke, personalised written communications and proposals that fit with Dogs Trust’s brand.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as other teams across Dogs Trust and VIPs.

Summary

Innovation plays a key role in our drive to increase our Fundraising income and further our strategy to create a world where diabetes can do no harm. In partnership with the Senior Innovation and Development Manager, the Innovation Manager will work across Fundraising Teams to deliver a step change in our income growth in the next 12 months. You will be responsible for delivering exciting iterative and new product development projects. In addition, you'll be working to upskill and empower colleagues from across the charity to become the next generation of innovators at Diabetes UK.

Main Responsibilities

Across 12 months you will be working to embed our innovation strategy; driving forward new product development, showcasing a fresh approach to innovation, and supporting colleagues to embrace innovation. You will be responsible for consulting with Fundraising Teams to identify new opportunities to generate income and provide supporters with an amazing experience. You will lead on bringing new ideas to life by managing the end-to-end innovation process. From undertaking research to uncover insight into target audiences, to running workshop with colleagues to turn insight into amazing propositions. From delivering tests to evaluate new propositions, to working closely with delivery teams to launch new innovations into the market to drive income growth.

Ideal Candidate

Working with Teams from across Fundraising, you'll need to be experienced at engaging and influencing colleagues at all levels. You will be naturally curious, motivated to get under the skin of the charity sector and really understand what makes our supporters tick. While experience working in a dedicated innovation role isn't necessary, experience using tools to uncover insight, facilitate workshops, generate ideas, test propositions, and deliver compelling business cases is essential. Running end-to-end innovation sprints, you will be organised, proactive and confident at managing stakeholders. You'll be able to balance conflicting workstreams to deliver amazing new propositions at pace.

The Role

As a Project Lead for the ASB team you will be:

• Managing a small team of ASB caseworkers including performance management, monitoring and support
• Responsible for allocating cases within the team and analysing statistics and data in order to monitor daily caseloads against resources and look for trends/ pattern of behaviour
• Working with the Operations Manager to ensure delivery of the business plan and associated outcomes
• Responsible for capturing data and information to ensure the work of the team is outcome based and evidenced

• With key partners, developing mechanisms for identifying and referring those affected by ongoing and persistent ASB incidents and crimes, including those not engaged in criminal or civil law processes

The post holder will coordinate and provide information-based sexual health outreach services, testing and brief HIV prevention interventions in commercial venues and at events across London. Programme

The post holder will be a member of the GMI Partnership team, based at METRO, working closely with their counterparts at other GMI partner agencies (Positive East and Spectra). The post holder will be responsible for liaising directly with other contract partners and being a main point of contact for various outreach venue providers.  The worker will form part of the METRO HIV Domain and will support the overall HIV prevention services provided by the charity.

We have a vacancy for a Flourish (Refugee and Asylum Seekers) Comminity Outreach Worker to join our team, supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health as a primary need, through providing advice, information and holistic support.

Complex needs are defined by the National Complex Needs Alliance as a combination of health needs and social needs.

About the Service

‘Flourish’ is a highly flexible and responsive outreach service developed to meet the needs of refugees and asylum seekers in Hertfordshire. The aim of the service will be to support refugees and asylum seekers in the community with multiple needs who have mental health support as a primary need. 

Purpose of Post

• To provide advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients with mental ill health.
• Support to build social networks and reduce isolation whilst settling into the Hertfordshire community this includes building a sustainable and empowering peer support network and building confidence and self-esteem.
• To ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• Embed a person centred and solution focused approach in all aspects of the role.
• To work in a trauma informed way including awareness of the 6 principles of trauma informed practice, putting the clients emotional and practical needs at the forefront of this work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with all key delivery partners across the system to ensure the service is responsive, inclusive and easy to access.
• To take allocated referrals from any agencies including the Community Navigators, Borough and District Councils, Herts Help, Housing Providers, Herts Welcomes Refugees, the Refugee Council and self-referrals including walk in contacts at any of the Mind wellbeing centres across the county.
• Hold a caseload of clients, supporting for approx. 10 weeks
• To create a safe space for the individual to be able to explore their feelings and improve their understanding around their mental health.
• To complete a holistic needs assessment.
• Ensure all person centred risk assessments and support plans are completed.
• Proactively recognise the indicators of deteriorating mental health and facilitate appropriate action, whilst liaising with relevant agencies.
• Support clients to build their emotional resilience, promoting self-management through building an understanding of their own triggers/coping strategies.
• To provide safeguarding intervention support. This will include responding to problems, which pose an immediate risk.
• To work alongside translators when required to provide a robust package of support for clients.
• To accompany clients to initial visits and appointments as necessary in order to ensure the sustained use of existing support services in the Borough.
• To provide advocacy services to clients experiencing mental ill health.
• To assist clients to access appropriate mental health services, housing/tenancy services and other services according to assessed needs.
• To establish effective pathways across a variety of agencies to maximise and provide effective partnership working, working with other third sector and VCSE organisations to provide signposting and continuity of care.

As a Change Manager, you will be part of a central PMO, but will be expected to work across the organisation as we deliver St Mungo’s Transformation Programme.

To be successful in this role, you will have;

• Successful track record of leading and managing large and/or complex change programmes, particularly involving structural, operational and process change.
• Proven success of working with all levels management and leading and influencing teams of people (directly and indirectly).
• Working in a Transformation and/or Business Change environment

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have;

• Strong people skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of Excellent written and verbal communication skills including accuracy and attention to detail.
• Understanding of digital technologies used in internal communications.
• Able to work on own initiative and manage multiple priorities, working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Able to apply skills and experience to St Mungo’s context and deliver change communications that are appropriate as well as effective.
• Demonstrable experience or qualification in a recognised change management technique (PROSCI, ADKAR).  If not, then ability and commitment to gain a qualification as part of performance management will be considered.
• To consult, draft materials, and delivery training on change management tools and techniques as requested by the Transformation Programme Manager.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Fundraising Officer to join a health related charity. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to move into charity sector or an experienced fundraiser who is keen to grow and develop their experience and expertise across multiple areas of fundraising.

• The role will be split between Community fundraising and major donor (50:50)
• As a Fundraising Officer you  will provide general team administration and process support for fundraising; support with Major Gifts thanking, stewardship and recognition.
• You will provide community fundraising support through increased charity visibility across charity hospital sites and implement of new planned workstreams.

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• An intuitive, self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• The ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple work streams and prioritise tasks A good eye for detail and previous experience with administration
• Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
• Ability to collaborate with other teams and departments to maximise results
• Positive personal impact and credibility, with the ability to network and build relationships with people at all levels both internally and externally
• Confident ability to engage with members of public and hospital staff about the work of Charity
• Experience of working in an office environment
• Experience of working in customer- or client-facing role (not essential)
• Experience of working in fundraising for a charitable organisation (not essential)
• Experience in utilising a database to input and extract information (not essential)
• Excellent use of Powerpoint, Excel and Microsoft Word
