The post-holder will play a key role within the Initiatives and Partnerships team, working with regional teams to develop and implement proposals to expand use of historic churches in our existing estate and, on occasion, working with other heritage and community groups to deliver their own projects via consultancy or partnership work.   

 They will manage a programme of work that will include a number of site-specific projects and national initiatives across multiple sites, as well as from time to time working with third parties on partnership or consultancy projects.   

The Commercial Initiatives Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of CCT’s commercial initiatives, including Champing and Filming, that involve multiple sites, as well as any future such schemes. The role will line manage the Customer Service and Admin Assistant, Champing who is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of Champing. The post-holder will also work closely with colleagues in conservation and regional teams to make sure that impacts on both areas are fully considered, whilst in tandem seeking to maximise opportunities to expand and increase commercial activity, income and ultimately profitability.

The Kids Network is looking for a volunteer recruitment officer to support the recruitment and onboarding of volunteers so that they can become mentors on our programme.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role supports our work to run our programme by ensuring that we recruit and onboard enough volunteers to become our wonderful mentors.

As our Volunteer Recruitment Officer, you will be the first point of contact for people volunteering to be mentors. You will ensure that our volunteers receive the highest level of customer service and have a great experience in all contacts with our charity.

Working closely with the Volunteer Operations Leader, you will implement our volunteer onboarding journey, leading on pipeline outputs to support volunteers from application to active mentoring.

Key responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment pipeline:

· Respond to all incoming enquiries and volunteer applications in a timely manner and in line with the charity's recruitment processes

· Responsible for clear communication to all prospective mentors in the pipeline, always giving a high level of customer service to volunteers and answering queries in a friendly professional manner

· Ensure every prospective mentor fully understands the benefits of volunteering with The Kids Network and has a first-class onboarding experience.

· Carry out all the training admin pre and post the training day, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to ensure this runs smoothly with high attendance

· Deliver 1 day weekend volunteer training alongside our Delivery Team when required.

Volunteer Recruitment Outreach:

· Maintain our digital recruitment streams

· Understand the communities we work in, working with the Volunteer Operations Leader to establishing links with community groups and local opportunities to attract different demographics

· Attend volunteer recruitment fairs and networking opportunities to promote volunteering with The Kids Network.

· Support with the admin and set up for those wanting to volunteer through a placement

· Follow the charity’s communication guidance and support communications work to attract and retain volunteers

· Feed ideas into and help to create content for emails being sent to volunteers in the pipeline and potential volunteers outside the organisation

· Attend mentee and mentor group activity sessions from time to time to better understand the purpose of our work

· Be an ambassador for The Kids Network

Duties and Responsibilities

Service Analysis and Quality Assurance

• Support the collection and analysis of accurate, timely and high-quality data on our services via Salesforce CRM (training provided, with the opportunity to become a qualified Salesforce Administrator).
• Assist Service Managers in delivering mental health training for school staff and parents/carers, including managing bookings, invites, attendance lists, and queries.
• Coordinate, monitor and support the evaluation of whole school services, including training and wellbeing interventions.
• Maintain effective and up-to-date digital filing systems.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues and external contacts, developing a deep understanding of our services and their impact on children’s lives.

Family Liaison and Support

• Undertake office and reception duties from 4pm – 6.30pm, including liaising with parents, answering calls, and welcoming visitors.
• Support the recruitment and onboarding of new families to our nursery and family centre, including reviewing statutory childcare funding options.
• Help develop a programme of workshops for parents/carers, assessing needs and tailoring support.

ICT Support Officer 

Salary: £26,000 - £28,000 

Location: Edinburgh, Leith

The Role: 

Are you passionate about technology and helping others solve IT challenges? We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused ICT Support Officer to join the Trust. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for technical support, ensuring smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional service to staff and stakeholders. 

The candidate: 

The successful candidate will have at least an HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an ICT-Related subject and at least two years’ experience in a customer-facing or staff support role, it would be advantageous if this was within an ICT support or helpdesk environment. 

Main Objectives 

• Provide day-to-day support for staff and volunteers using SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Office 365, including troubleshooting common issues and escalating more complex problems to our ICT contractor and line manager as required. 

• Support the administration and basic configuration of the Trust’s digital systems, ensuring user accounts and permissions/access rights are kept up-to-date and in line with current best practice for cyber security and wider digital infrastructure.  

• Assist in monitoring and maintaining the Trust’s ICT equipment, network, and server infrastructure, reporting faults and liaising with our ICT contractor for resolution.  

• Support our ICT contractor with the external helpdesk to ensure IT problems are logged, tracked, and resolved promptly, maintaining good communication with users throughout. Including assisting with staff onboarding process 

The successful candidate will ideally have: 

• Experience of Office 365, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. 

• Experience of maintaining desktops, laptops, networking and servers. 

• Knowledge of network security including cyber essentials. 

• Ability to manage own schedule, be proactive and balance competing and diverse priorities. 

• Be and effective communicator.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The role is responsible for delivering comprehensive HR support across the organisation covering recruitment, onboarding, training, and support for performance management and employee relations.  It includes managing volunteer processes and working closely with both internal managers and external HR and training providers.

The postholder will play a key role in maintaining effective HR systems, ensuring policy compliance and supporting a positive work culture.

Key responsibilities

· Managing end-to-end recruitment processes across multi-disciplinary teams, including: recruitment, onboarding, DBS checking, training and development, absence and performance management, and leaver processing

· Oversight of SCT’s volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training and administration in collaboration with SCT’s manager

· Working closely with SCT’s outsourced HR support

· Providing SCT managers with guidance on volunteer recruitment and any management issues

· Implementing, maintaining and reviewing an annual training plan for all employees

· Maintaining up-to-date staff files and HR system records including DBS validation, handling confidential employee and volunteer data in line with data protection legislation

· Supporting employee relations by assisting with complaints, grievances and disciplinary procedures including the provision of support to managers on all employee-relations matters

· Working with SCT’s Business Operations Manager to ensure accurate information is provided to SCT’s outsourced payroll administrators to ensure accuracy of all relevant information

· Supporting the ongoing review, development and improvement of clear, consistent and accessible policies and procedures across the organisation

· Working closely with SCT’s managers to promote the ongoing communication, implementation and participation in the review cycle of policies and procedures

PERSON SPECIFICATION

· CIPD-qualified to level 5: significant HR management experience will also be considered

· 3+years demonstrable generalist HR management experience or similar role types – ideally in a small organisation or NFP

· Demonstrable experience of working across multiple sites

· Excellent communication skills both written and in person with the ability to adapt to a range of audiences

· Experience of presenting materials and report-writing to a range of audiences.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced HR Officer to deliver a high quality HR administration service to our Central Team. From onboarding new staff to managing payroll changes, absence records, compliance reports, and HR queries this is a varied and fast paced role supporting our wider HR strategy.

You will play a vital part in ensuring data accuracy, safeguarding compliance, and a positive colleague experience across the employee lifecycle.

What you will be doing : 

• Coordinating onboarding and pre-employment checks for new joiners
• Preparing contracts, payroll changes and issuing HR letters
• Maintaining up to date HR records, trackers and reports
• Managing the Single Central Record and absence recording
• Supporting line managers with  induction, probation tracking and HR queries
• Acting as the first point of contact for the central HR inbox and providing advisory support to Central Team colleagues

• Provide support for annual audits, which includes collecting data, managing data requests and deadlines, and liaising with auditors to ensure all requirements are met.
• Oversee the administrative preparation for HR meetings, including creating agendas and presentations, travel arrangements and meeting materials
• Coordinate various trust-wide HR initiatives and cross-functional projects, spanning areas like surveys, audits, policy development, and document management.
