Must haves:

Job purpose
This is a pivotal senior administration role in a charity that is passionate about making a difference to the veterinary care that animals receive. You’ll be working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, with the trustee board and with all members of the staff team of about 20 people. The role is responsible for co-ordinating essential governance activities, including preparing, collating and distributing meeting information packs, writing minutes and managing actions following trustee and committee meetings. Responsibilities
Governance and executive support
- Provide administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer, including proof reading and formatting documents, diary management, coordinating meetings and production of agendas and minutes
- Take minutes for trustee board and committee meetings, and any other meetings as requested by the Chief Executive Officer
- Organise in-person and virtual trustees meeting as well as other governance meetings as required
- Work with the trustees, Chief Executive Officer, RCVS finance team and legal advisors, ensuring legal returns and RCVS Knowledge governing documents are in order and submitted in good time to Companies House and the Charity Commission
- Maintain declaration of interest documentation and ensure that governance and compliance-related records are up-to-date
- Own the charity’s policy register, ensuring all policies are reviewed regularly and are up to date
- Carry out finance administration for the Senior Team as required, including purchasing items, collating receipts, assigning budget codes, and processing expense claims for trustees
- Provide administrative support around donations and gifts-in-will
- Manage the diary of the Chief Executive Officer, including arranging travel and accommodation when necessary
Project support
- Organise RCVS Knowledge awards (Plowright Prize, Quality Improvement Awards, Antimicrobial Stewardship Awards, etc.), including liaising with award panels, processing applications, and administration around the review and identification of award winners
- Arrange associated meetings and events for the awards
General administration
- Act as the first point of contact for RCVS Knowledge, monitoring generic inboxes and taking phone calls as required
- Manage the administrative functions of the office, for example arranging guest access for visitors when required and administering and dealing with room bookings
- Maintain and develop administrative systems, such as record management and document control
- Update records on our customer relationship management (CRM) system

One or both of the roles will also include specific organising with low paid workers to lead the fight for a real living wage and living hours.

A central focus of an Associate Organiser is their own development: learning the craft of Community Organising under the guidance of an experienced Community Organiser. An Associate Organiser is working towards becoming a competent practitioner of the craft of broad-based community organising methodology, and focuses on the building of relational power, the recruitment and retention of dues-paying institutions, the development of leaders, the strengthening of member institutions, leader-led public actions, and the winning of systemic change. Your learning and development will be paramount in the first few months as the responsibilities given to your experience and skills develop.

Main Responsibilities
Working as an Associate Organiser in South London for Citizens UK your main responsibilities will be to:
Grow and deliver on the priorities of South London Listens and our broader Health organising

Build and support new Be Well Hubs in a range of institutions in your allocated boroughs. Including identifying new institutions, delivering training, and supporting them once they are established.

Work with other organisers to deliver on the priorities identified by communities that are part of the South London Listens project

Ensure reporting and capturing of stories of the South London Listens project are captured and shared to celebrate and grow the project.
At least one of the roles includes supporting our organising efforts for more just work and wages

Identify and develop worker leaders

Take action with South London Citizens leaders to increase the number of living wage and living hours employers in London

Develop and deliver community organising training for worker leaders
Build relational power to further the goals of CUK

Actively participate in the development of a comprehensive power analysis appropriate to the desired sphere of influence for each project/assignment

Establish working relationships with identified leaders and demonstrate ability to move them into action, including as part of the wider alliance; taking the initiative to establish new relationships as required

About the role
As Crisis’ Media and Artist Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health. You’ll also identify, build and nurture relationships with artists and influencers to secure their support for Crisis and our work, whether that be political campaigning, fundraising or our commercial and retail offering.
Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. You’ll help create hard-hitting news stories and media hooks that engages our audiences and raises awareness of Crisis’ work. You’ll also work with our Artist Liaison Manager to utilise our high-profile supporters and ambassadors to inspire and raise awareness of our cause with key audiences and develop creative and engaging ways to amplify our media campaigns on social media. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build strong relationships with key journalists.

The Service Desk is embarking on an exciting time as we look to create lots of new processes, procedures and working practices. The Service Desk will become the Single Point of Contact for all IT related incidents and requests.
As Junior Service Desk Analyst, you will be part of a small and dedicated team triaging, logging, assigning, and resolving Incidents and Requests for our Charity staff and volunteers in both of our business and retail areas. You will also provide regular in-person support to colleagues based in our London office. Full training will be provided, and this opportunity provides a good platform for someone to commence a career in IT.
With strong attention to detail, you'll be tasked with administrative activities associated with the Service Desk - including reports, account management, moves, adds, deletes and changes. You'll also have accountability for ticket logging and allocation within the ITSM tool, setting an example on ticket quality.
This role offers hybrid working, where you'll spend 4 days a week on-site in our London office and 1 day working from home.

Additional Information

About the role
The London Library is looking for an Acquisitions and Discovery Assistant to assist in the acquisition and management of Library E-resources and print resources.
The role includes supporting the successful acquisition and seamless delivery of electronic resources to library users, utilising and maintaining relevant library systems and records; assisting purchasing decisions and supporting licensing, ordering and payment processes; verifying access, liaising with suppliers & Library IT, and ensuring correct metadata is presented to users; plus monitoring resource use and collecting data for the evaluation of subscriptions.
