About the role:

We are seeking additional staff to join our experienced and committed teams within our Complex Needs Service in Westminster.  You will be in a specialist role designed to work with people with complex support needs, relating to mental health, multiple physical health needs, poly-substance use and offending.

As a Project / Support Worker Complex Needs, your role will be to provide support to clients to enable them to understand their support needs and to manage these effectively.  You will hold a caseload of clients and be responsible for helping them to identify short term objectives, meet their goals and complete risk assessments. You will also support clients to develop their living skills, develop and manage relationships, build social networks and to access various services.

About you:

• Previous experience of working in the health and social care, supporting vulnerable people, rough sleepers or people with complex mental health, physical health or substance use support needs. 
• An understanding of working with people using person-centred approaches. 
• The ability to manage a caseload and deliver positive outcomes utilising your knowledge of the health and social care sector. 
• A flexible and creative approach to working with a sometimes hard to engage client group.

Flexibility is required, as you will be working a rota inclusive of early shifts, late shifts and bank holidays.

About the team

Kinship is in the third year of delivering the first national peer support service for kinship carers in England. We have created 145 peer support groups and supported and trained kinship carers to create and lead their groups in a way which meets their needs.

With a new contract from the Department for Education, we’re now entering a new phase of our service with a focus on:

• creating 90 new sustainable peer support groups in areas of most need over 21 months;
• sustaining and developing the current 145 existing groups; and
• providing support and help to build a sustainable and welcoming community for all peer support groups across England.

This role will mobilise, develop and innovate our existing offer into a new Peer Support Hub with the focus on supporting sustainability and building resilience of peer support groups and their leaders. You will support and build our Kinship peer support community.

You’ll work with group leaders to develop a central hub of accessible and useful resources to help them to sustain their groups, working with colleagues right across Kinship to promote consistent access to services and activities (training, programmes, information, advice and campaigns), building a joined-up user experience.

About the role

The role of the Peer Support Hub Lead is to oversee and take accountability for sustaining kinship peer support groups across England in priority areas as part of a new hub and spoke delivery model.

In this context, your team is the centralised ‘hub’ of the service, delivering an exciting programme of training, speakers, toolkits and resources to help peer support group leaders develop, build and sustain their group well.

Your national team of three will make sure groups feel connected and supported, learn from each other and build a powerful and resilient peer community.

The type of person we’re looking for:

Dynamic and people-centred, this role is about developing a supportive community of peer support groups nationally. You’ll understand the power of relationships and be an excellent communicator. You’ll understand how communities hold their own power and your team will help unlock that. An excellent communicator, you’ll develop external partnerships to support group sustainability. You’ll ensure through the National Peer Support Connector role that peer communities are connected and engaging with the new National Kinship Care Ambassador.

You’ll be comfortable with using digital technology and tools to build communities and develop resources.

Key responsibilities include:

• Ongoing innovation of the Hub service, embedding best practice, digital innovation and learning to develop a thriving peer community.

• Develop, deliver and take accountability including strategic oversight for an annual operational plan for the peer support hub.

• Work with Head of Marketing to develop an integrated promotional plan.

• Work with Head of Network Development to coordinate national partnerships.

Essential requirements include:

• Experience in delivering a high-profile national service or programme. This includes overseeing delivery, operational planning, monitoring, budgeting, managing delivery, meeting KPIs, stakeholder engagement and reporting to funders.

• Experience of effective budget management.

• Experience working in a role focused on one or more of the following areas; communications (including digital communications) or marketing.

• Significant experience of developing and delivering successful community engagement strategies.

About the role:

Kinship are seeking to recruit experienced event co-ordinators with a whole range of skills and great energy to join our brand-new training team. They will be responsible for delivering this first ever programme of its type supporting kinship carers across England in their caring role. 

As a pivotal part of the team, you’ll be supporting delivery of high-quality in-person and online training events across England. You’ll be the first point of contact for the team and be experienced and responsive in dealing with enquiries. You’ll be used to working with suppliers and have proven experience of planning, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of large events. You’ll bring significant working experience of using Microsoft tools, and other platforms and technology including Zoom. You’ll have a positive, can-do approach and the ability to work with initiative, being curious and always thinking ahead to anticipate need and deal with issues.

Collaboration will be key to your approach, and you’ll be detail orientated and be great at managing your time and priorities, and working to consistently high standards. You’ll plan, co-ordinate and support the successful delivery of all our online and in-person events, including being available and involved as needed on site.

• Accountable for the Business Development team’s sales planning and forecasting including annual budgeting.

Head of (HOD) Responsibilities

• Implement the one company/vision/culture and demonstrate its impact.
• To carry out environmental scanning to recognize opportunities and challenges and formulate appropriate actions to position the Foundation in line with its agreed objectives.
• To implement and develop appropriate business management capabilities and practices across the organisation.
• To operationally implement the strategy and set work expectations as agreed by the Board and the SLT.

Skills, experience and knowledge 

• An understanding of education systems in the UK 
• Previous experience in a sales environment and understanding sales processes. 
• Experience of managing pipeline systems
• A proven track record of delivering income growth 
• Analytical thinking and evaluation skills

Our client, a leading London University, is currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated MSc Course Administrator.  The post is to start as soon as possible and is a full-time (35 hours per week), ongoing role. • Assisting with uploading content into the virtual learning environment

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Worked in a similar post previously, ideally from a higher education setting or a similar organisation in the wider not for profit sector.
• Experience within a fast-paced, customer facing environment.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Excellent IT skills, including MS Office suite of products and the ability to use bespoke systems.
• Knowledge of GDPR standards and respect for confidentiality of personal information

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

This role is subject to a Basic DBS check.
