- To lead the team to meet income targets through the delivery of an engaging Events portfolio
- To lead the development and implementation of plans, marketing materials, multi-channel campaigns and supporter journeys for Event participants
- To Manage and inspire the Events Managers and wider team

- It is essential you have previous experience of leading a high-performing fundraising events team
- Proven ability of creating annual budgets and regular reporting of income and expenditure

- Strong working knowledge of CRM systems (ideally Raiser’s Edge), with a solid understanding of data accuracy, Gift Aid, and Data Protection legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks while working collaboratively across teams.

About the opportunity
Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider Philanthropy Department, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will identify and cultivate fruitful partnerships with a range of small, medium and large businesses.
They will help maximise the potential of corporate and other organisations for funding, volunteer recruitment, and other philanthropic opportunities, to enable growth and sustainability for Action Tutoring. This will be achieved by securing and nurturing small to medium sized organisations to provide financial support for programmes. Additionally, the Corporate Partnerships Coordinator will engage with business to generate volunteers from across the country to deliver both online and face to face tutoring.

Duties and responsibilities
- Identify and persuade small to medium sized businesses to fund specific schools in Action Tutoring regions as part of a pilot of a ‘local champions’ scheme.
- Drive new applications from potential corporate volunteer tutors, ensuring a strong supply of high quality applications to meet growth targets in each region, for both face to face and online delivery.
- Generate regular reports and communicate updates to volunteer partners to demonstrate the value and impact of their volunteers and financial support.
- Support programme staff to develop local partnerships, through businesses and public sector links.

Job Purpose
Volunteering Matters have been working in collaboration with South of Enterprise Scotland (SOSE) to pilot Enterprising Futures in Dumfries and Galloway and due to the success of the work we are expanding this work into The Scottish Borders. With the support of SOSE, we are launching a new project, Enterprising Futures Scottish Borders, where we will use our tried and tested model to enable people to work to remove those barriers, build confidence and introduce the idea of starting their own business.
Our aim is to ensure a better future for all and that the region thrives with economic productivity. From our learnings from Dumfries and Galloway, we are launching a pilot which creates a pipeline for additional and flexible support, empowering women and those from under-represented groups, by introducing the idea of starting their own business.
Our part time Engagement Manager will create a warm referral pathway wherein they attend training events and sessions with Pathways Coaches alongside potential clients, ensuring a smooth and trusting transition to SOSE’s support, stepping back when trust is built. We will support people in the Scottish Borders who experience barriers to education, training, and employment.
As our Engagement Manager, you will directly support people aged 16+ who may have complex and challenging barriers to securing a positive pathway. This will include barrier identification and removal and where appropriate provide pre volunteering activity as well as volunteering placements in their local area.
You will engage with local people from under-represented groups in The Borders to realise their dreams and take active steps toward self-employment. Volunteering Matters’ individualised support adapts to the needs of each client whether this is additional funding, support to attend meetings, confidence building, or skills development in a supported volunteering placement. The person-centred, place-based approach to individual support is central to this partnership and leads to meaningful and sustainable impact for all.
Where appropriate you will create bespoke and tailored volunteering opportunities with third sector partners to enable people to build their skills and confidence to take that first step into exploring employment

We are looking for a passionate Engagement Manager to join our team. They will work as part of the national (and local London) Employee Volunteering team working with corporate clients and community partners, creating and delivering team and individual volunteering events.

We are looking for a fundraiser to lead, manage and deliver the fundraising strategy and activities of SBS. Develop relationships, networks and communication channels to advance the work and objectives of SBS across all types of existing and potential new supporters (e.g. individuals, churches & communities, major donors, trusts & foundations).

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all the fundraising activities of SBS, including management of the fundraising team.
- Develop and maintain a fundraising strategy in line with the overall strategy for SBS, this includes taking a lead in the forecasting and setting of fundraising targets.
- Take a lead in the recruitment and retainment of individual donors by developing and managing appropriate activities to expand the SBS donor base, exploring and implementing various methods to achieve this.

- Develop a major donor fundraising programme and manage long-term relationships.

- Provide regular reporting on all fundraising activities, for Senior Staff and Board. Provide up to date income levels by source, any associated expenditure and what the overall ROI is for SBS. Be able to provide this as verbal updates and electronically - making comparisons against projections, historical performance and industry averages.
- Keep up to date and ensure SBS complies with fundraising legislation, standards and best practice including GDPR and PECR.
- Support SBS with detailed knowledge of the United Bible Societies (UBS) fellowship projects SBS support and provide a steer on what opportunities there are that would fit with the overall strategy for SBS.
- Set objectives for the Fundraising team in line with the fundraising strategy and overall strategy for SBS.

About you
- SBS believes that spiritual maturity, character and behaviour are just as important as fundraising competence, therefore you will be a devoted follower of Jesus with a passion for the Bible. You will be active in a local church that supports your vocation and provides spiritual support.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in a senior fundraising or development position.
- Proven track record of leading fundraising strategy and campaigns for a charitable organisation, or a background in campaign management driving sales for a commercial organisation.

Role Purpose
The Policy and Impact Team sits at the heart of Volunteering Matters. We play a vital role in demonstrating the impact of our work connecting data, qualitative insight, and lived experience to the policy agendas shaping communities across the UK. Through storytelling, analysis, and evidence, we make sure volunteering is recognised as a driving force for social change.
We are a small, hands-on team. You will be involved in every aspect of our work from desk-based research and writing briefings to organising external meetings and working directly in communities alongside our volunteers. This variety allows you to connect national policy with local realities and help volunteers share their voices where it matters most.
You will help bring our five-year strategy to life by linking project outcomes to broader societal developments and showcasing the impact of volunteers and communities.
Key Duties Responsibilities
· Support the Head of Policy and Impact to coordinate Volunteering Matters’ policy and public affairs work.
· Support people involved with our volunteering projects to engage with local politicians, e.g. by organising visits to projects or meetings with volunteers.
· Monitor and respond to opportunities (e.g. relevant government consultations, All-Party Parliamentary Group inquiries or Select Committee inquiries) that are relevant to Volunteering Matters’ priorities.
· Support mapping and research exercises to inform our policy positioning. Writing summary reports as needed.
· Collaborate with the National Volunteer Engagement Manager to support the inclusion of volunteer and community voices in our policy and public affairs work.
· Assist with collecting impact and activity data from across the charity and work with the Data Analyst to undertake analysis.
· Support with routine collection of quarterly data from projects - ensuring responses are timely and accurate, providing guidance to project managers as needed.
· Work with project staff to help create impactful and engaging reports.
· Represent Volunteering Matters at charity and volunteering policy-related groups.
Essential Skills
· Understanding of UK political systems and policy-making processes across national, devolved, and local levels.
· Understanding of policy, public affairs, or influencing, ideally within the voluntary or community sector.
· Confident communicator, able to engage with policymakers, sector partners, and community representatives.
· Familiarity with both qualitative and quantitative data analysis to inform narrative reporting and strategic insight.
· Excellent writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, persuasive documents based on data and lived experience.
· Alignment with Volunteering Matters’ values and a commitment to amplifying community voice.
· Must adhere to the organisation’s Code of Conduct and uphold its values at all times.
· Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel, with the ability to manage email communications and collaborate digitally.
· Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, managing time and priorities in a busy environment.
· For remote roles, candidates must be self-starters who can work with minimal supervision, stay organised, and remain motivated to meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes.
· Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving and information sharing.

This role sits across two key departments within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate —Strategic Partnerships, which drives transformational partnerships to achieve our mission and Performance & Insight, which ensures our work across fundraising and campaigning is insight-led, data-driven, and delivering maximum impact.
About the role
As our PA to the Directors of Strategic Partnerships and Performance & Insight you will play a proactive and central role in enabling effective leadership and operational delivery across two high-impact departments and work closely with both Directors, senior stakeholders, project teams, and administrative colleagues to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Proactively provide executive support to both Directors, anticipating needs, and managing diaries and preparing high-quality materials for internal and external engagement.
- Coordinate departmental and leadership meetings, ensuring agendas, logistics and follow-up actions are delivered efficiently and reported to key stakeholders including Board and Committee members.
- Support the delivery of strategic initiatives and transformation projects, maintaining oversight of priorities, deadlines, and departmental records, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead internal communications planning and collaboration across SP and PID, managing SharePoint sites, induction programmes, and collaborating with other PAs to align processes and share best practices across the organisation.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Significant experience as a PA or high-level administrator in a complex organisational setting, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective working relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting high-quality briefing papers, presentations, and correspondence on behalf of senior leaders.
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience in the charity or international development sector.
- Familiarity with project management tools and techniques.
- Understanding of data protection principles and experience managing intranet content.
