About the role:

In this senior research professional role, you will be instrumental in executing strategic objectives, specifically through the delivery of a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with our charitable objects and goals. You will work closely with the Director of Communications to support content creation initiatives with research and evidence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering the research strategy ensuring alignment with our charitable goals.

Details of the role You’ll play a leading role in ensuring our most generous donors receive a best-in-class donor experience.

Using your strong project management skills, you’ll take responsibility for the delivery of bespoke donor experience activity for a portfolio of donors each giving £1 million+ to the University. Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse. 

We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We now have a need for an Officer to work closely with the Development Director and CEO in developing our corporate income stream, managing the accounts of existing corporate partners and generating income through securing new corporate partnerships. These partnerships will generate both donations and earned income, with corporate partners contracting Tender to deliver workplace training. The main purposes of the Development Officer role are:

• Working with the Development team to collectively achieve annual fundraising targets exceeding £2m per year

• Supporting the CEO and Development Director to increase Tender’s workplace training delivery in order to achieve income targets through sales

Hertfordshire Mind Network deliver essential mental health support in Hertfordshire, providing a diverse range of services from our seven Wellbeing Centres and other venues across all ten districts of the county. Funded locally, our services are available to all residents in Hertfordshire over the age of 18 and we offer dedicated services for 5–18-year-olds.

MannionDaniels has been contracted by Gavi to deliver this new funding mechanism which aims to:

i. Increase vaccination coverage and reduce zero dose and under-immunised children.

ii. Set up grant/contract schemes with CSOs and local partners that are results-focused, cost-effective and provide value for money.

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

Beacon is now in its second decade and has grown substantially over the last three years, including a rebrand and expansion into international projects. To support this growth, we are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and intuitive Admin & Operations Officer to help ensure the smooth running of our daily activities and core functions.

This varied role spans many aspects of our work, from administration and resource management to supporting the systems and tools that keep Beacon working efficiently. The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the charity and in supporting senior staff. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Organisational administration

• Lead on day-to-day operational processes to ensure the efficient running of the organisation.
• Provide executive support to the CEO and COO, including diary coordination, scheduling, and meeting logistics.
• Oversee internal financial processes, including processing expenses and invoices, documenting charity income and outgoings, ensuring accurate record keeping, and liaising with our external accounting team.

Fundraising administration

• Liaise with fundraising partners, sponsors, and donors as required.

N.B. The fundraising aspect of this role is focused on providing administrative and logistical support. This is not a fundraising position, and applicants are not expected to be responsible for income generation.

Team-wide support

• Monitor and respond to incoming enquiries via phone, email, and the Contact Us form, ensuring timely and professional communication.
• Process and respond to volunteer applications, maintaining accurate records and liaising with applicants as required.
• Manage organisational resources, including internal supplies and external materials, monitoring stock levels and coordinating reorders.
• Provide office management support to ensure a well-functioning, well-resourced working environment.

Occasional duties

We have had considerable success with securing project funding over the last 30 years achieving rapid growth in delivery and impact as a result, but this only allows us to deliver what others want to fund and it is not always possible to get project funding to cover what we would like to achieve -  maximising our education and engagement as well as supporting core functions and project development.  Therefore, we need to increase core voluntary income for these key activities The successful candidate has the support and opportunity to sculpt this approach into a significant part of the Trusts future.

You should have excellent people, planning and project management skills, with a proven track record in core charity fundraising. You will also have a strong commitment to our mission and a good understanding of environmental issues. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Executive but will link into the Trust’s communications strategy and approach. If successful, we intend to grow and expand this role into a directorial position linked to our communication and advocacy work.

Clifton College Education Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Finance Director to join our senior leadership team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for all financial matters across the College and its component entities.

Reporting to the Head of College, you will be accountable for the effective and proper conduct of all financial activities, ensuring robust systems of monitoring and control are in place. You will lead the annual audit preparation and ensure full compliance with financial standards for charities.

A key part of your role will be to provide strategic financial advice to the Senior Teams and the College Council. You will be at the forefront of financial planning, budget setting, and investment strategy. We’re looking for a Science Communications Officer (Fixed term) to join our team

Salary: £35,000

Base: Central Edinburgh/hybrid

Hours: Full time and fixed term for one year.  35 hours a week over core working hours of 10am - 3pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. The office is open 8am – 7pm daily and our hybrid working policy requires all full-time employees to work at least two days a week in the Edinburgh office.

We are looking for a creative, multi-skilled Science Communications Officer to champion our research and our global researchers through compelling storytelling. This involves collaborating across the charity to ensure content is accurate and audience appropriate. You’ll also be interacting with everyone in the organisation to help them understand how cancer behaves and how our research is helping to find new cures.

You’ll be curious about our research and be innovative in how you present it.
