As a Community Fundraiser, you will use your communication, engagement and people skills to develop strong and lasting relationships in the local community, inspire existing supporters, generate funds and help to deliver a range of fundraising initiatives in support of Good Company's vision.

You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and exploring the potential for submitting bids. You will support individuals, businesses, schools, clubs, and community groups to reach their fundraising goals and ensuring that all supporter interactions with us are positive. Main Purpose of the Role:

To lead the Support Team to provide emotional and practical support to families and individuals living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. It includes leading the support team to provide 1-2-1 and group support provided in person or virtually, and creating and growing support networks for the wider Duchenne community which includes Duchenne parents/caregivers; young people and adults living with Duchenne; extended family and friends; and professionals in environments such as schools, local authorities and clinics. 

Specific Tasks:

The focus areas and key deliverables of this role are as follows:

• Develop a clear process for identifying case loads and capacity for the Support Team.

• Identify opportunities, alongside the team, for cross team working - including residentials; family events; Science Educations workshops with regional meetups and education visits to schools and local authorities.

• Obtain, decipher and provide training to the Support Team on new updates relevant to Duchenne families, such as DLA, EHCP and more.

• Work closely with your team, to ensure that each family receives the best support possible, and that long-term support is provided.

• Lead on the development and delivery of monthly reporting of engagement and support contact, which will feed into the wider All Through Support journey. 

• To work with the Head of Operations and Events to contribute to Agenda topics and speakers from the community; assign roles for the conference to the Support Team.

• Establish a database for external stakeholders also supporting those living with Duchenne on a national basis, fed in to from the Support Team.

• To develop a triaging and caseload process for the Support Team, and how best to regularly monitor this.

• Be involved in the recruitment, selection, and induction of volunteers appropriate to your area of work.

• To maintain the contact database, keeping it up to date and accurate.

• Coordinate cover for the Support Team when there is sickness or leave.

NB This is not an exhaustive list, the role holder will be asked to carry out additional tasks as required for the Team’s successful service delivery. Such tasks will always be reasonable and broadly in line with current knowledge levels and skill sets.

• Knowledge of current legislation around either accessibility, equal opportunities, Disability Living Allowance, or Education Health Care Plan.

• Knowledge of networks and signposting for those living with a life-limiting condition.

At Community First Yorkshire, we will be delivering a three-year National Lottery funded partnership programme designed to inspire and empower communities and the VCSE sector to take meaningful climate action. In this role, you’ll be leading of team of four, including two Climate Action Officers, an Impact Communications Officer and a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. You’ll use your project management skills to co-ordinate and implement the Village Green programme, overseeing the delivery of activities, finances, marketing material and monitoring and evaluation work. You will work closely with our programme partners to maintain strong governance and build connections with our wider stakeholders to amplify the impact of climate action efforts.

You’ll also support with the wider VCSE sector in North Yorkshire, offering guidance on climate action initiatives and commissioning external expertise to deliver key elements of the programme.

The National Lottery Community Fund is seeking a Senior Government Relationship Manager to lead our relationships with governments across the UK as part of our newly restructured communications function. We're looking for a government relations professional with significant experience who can build influential relationships across all levels of government and who can provide expert analysis of policy developments. The ideal candidate will bring a sophisticated understanding of the UK political landscape and the workings of government. You will be politically astute with experience navigating complex stakeholder environments and balancing diverse priorities. Your background might include policy development, stakeholder or government relations or public affairs in a government department, a public body or a large mission-driven organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver a consistent approach to government relations across the UK, maintaining systems and processes for ensuring effective delivery
• Lead our sponsor relationship with DCMS and build relationships and connections with relevant departments, managing and co-ordinating responses to departmental requirements and identifying opportunities to demonstrate our value.

Youth Engagement Officer  

Location: Hybrid. Expected to be in our London office in Victoria at least one day per week. You can be remote every other day or come into the office. Your office days are flexible and can be agreed with your manager, other than for monthly team days where you must be in person. Some nationwide travel expected for Youth Steering Group training days, events and conferences. After passing probation, up to six weeks ‘super remote’ working per year, where you can work anywhere in the world as long as you’re online for four hours of the UK workday.

Contract: Fixed Term Contract until 31 August 2026 with the possibility to extend. 

Holidays: 38 days per year, including our 3-day winter shut down and eight flexible bank holidays.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (full time) Please note as this role works with young people there will be occasions where your working hours will be outside the standard 9-5:30pm. This will typically be a few meetings per month that can last until 7pm and about four weekend days over the year. This is to ensure our activities fit around the young people’s education and work commitments.

The Fair Education Alliance (FEA) unites 300 member organisations under a shared vision that no child’s success is limited by their socioeconomic background.

Our members (charities and social enterprises, think tanks, businesses and foundations, youth organisations, unions, universities and schools) are working collectively to create an inclusive system. Education is not fair. The gaps in educational outcomes between children from low-income households and their wealthier peers are staggering at every stage of education. You would be joining the organisation at a very exciting time as our youth engagement work is growing and building momentum across the sector. In the last year we have seen a 25% increase in youth engagement across our membership, have supported Ofsted and Department for Education to their youth participation in policy making and our Youth Steering Group hosted our biggest ever Fair Education Youth Summit. This role will play a critical part in the success of taking this work forward. As the Youth Engagement Officer, you will work with our Head of Youth Engagement to ensure our Youth Steering Group can lead their own campaign activities, engage directly with decision makers, and collaborate with other young people to bring about the change they want to see. You will also support and manage the logistics of our Youth Summit, Youth Engagement Working Group and other youth engagement events.

Support our Youth Steering Group to feel safe and confident as they co-lead our Alliance and create change

Our Youth Steering Group is made up of 25 brilliant young people, aged 14-24, who draw on their lived experience of the different barriers to accessing a fair education, to campaign for change. You will support the young people to lead their own campaign activity, write their monthly Youth Bulletin and engage directly with policy makers. You will also help the group to participate in FEA decision making, support the design and facilitation of their monthly meetings and training days, help them make progress against their personal development plans. This role will include working directly with young people, session planning and facilitation, policy research and managing logistics.

Ensure the Fair Education Youth Summit is a success and remains truly youth-led  

Our Youth Steering Group design and run the annual Fair Education Youth Summit. The event is led by young people for young people and brings together young changemakers from across our membership and the wider education and youth sectors to develop their youth leadership skills, collaborate on campaigns, and engage directly with decision makers. You will support the young people to design sessions, secure speakers, embed past feedback and plan the event structure. You will also support with the event logistics, guestlist management, participant communications and collecting attendee feedback.

Support our members to improve their youth engagement practice  

Our Youth Engagement Working Group supports FEA members and other sector organsiations to increase and improve their own youth engagement practice. You will support the management of logistics, promote the workshops, and communicate with working group members. You will also support the facilitation of the workshops and ensure the attendee data and feedback is correctly logged and actioned. The critical responsibilities of this role are described above. They may be subject to reasonable changes from time to time in line with business need and the decisions of the youth leaders we support.

The Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Service Manager provides leadership for the outsourced service desk, IT supply and Site Service Engineering functions of the DDaT team and is the point of escalation for all Barnardo's colleagues accessing services, incident management and request fulfilment.

The DDaT Service Manager is responsible for the delivery of exceptional Site Service Engineering at over 1000 sites and responsible for the delivery of IT Supply services to over 7000 colleagues across the UK. The Service Manager also owns and operates the outsourced Service Desk via the current partner relationship, working in collaboration with internal technical teams. The Service Manager will report to the Director of Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) and is a member of the DDaT Leadership Team.

Remote based in North West England

Fixed term contract: Initial 12-month period with potential to extend. 

Job Purpose: 

To lead and support the planning, delivery, and promotion of local sporting initiatives within the North West Regional Hub. The Sports Development Officer will focus on increasing participation, improving access to sport, and strengthening partnerships with National Governing Bodies, community groups, clubs, and Local Authorities.
