About You

Are you an experienced and confident fundraiser with a trusts and statutory background with the motivation to drive real change for the Armed Forces community? If you have experience in inspiring donor support through persuasive and creative proposals and building positive relationships, and have a can-do attitude, it would be great to have you join our team.

• Experience in a high value fundraising role, raising money from trusts and foundations and/or statutory funders.
• Experience of developing compelling funding proposals, including budgets with programme managers and other stakeholders
• Experience of building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills, organisational skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent writing skills to produce compelling funding proposals and reports for funders.
• Ability to work on your own initiative to manage projects, plan, and set priorities.
• A good understanding of the trust fundraising and/or statutory fundraising environment including key compliance considerations and trends in the sector.

About the Role

In this role you will form a vital part of our High Value Partnerships team; achieving or exceeding agreed income targets through tailored and compelling fundraising proposals to existing and new funders; and matching donor interests with Help for Heroes’ programmes.

You will deliver excellent stewardship managing a portfolio of high value donors, delivering against donor objectives, and seeking opportunities to develop and broaden support. Whilst also contributing to the wider Trusts and Foundations, and Partnerships strategies, including taking on management of special projects as and when required.

About the Team

The Trusts and Foundations Team is made up of the Trusts and Foundations Senior Partnership Manager, the Trusts and Grants Manager, and the Trusts and Foundations Executive, part of the wider High Value Partnerships Team, Commercial Directorate.

This is an exciting time for growth within this highly motivated team, and this role will play an integral part in our strategy building on our existing pipeline, working collaboratively to make a big impact. You will be working remotely but with regular opportunities for face-to-face meetings with the team, partners, and beneficiaries, usually held in London, Birmingham, Salisbury, or Swindon.

THE VACANCY

Deputy Regional Secretary – Asia Pacific

Location: Based in one of the ITF’s regional offices (Delhi, Singapore, Sydney, Tokyo or Hong Kong) with regular international travel across the region.

About the Role

As the Deputy Regional Secretary, you will play a central role in shaping and executing the ITF’s mission across the Asia Pacific. You will work directly with the Regional Secretary to provide political, strategic, and operational leadership, ensuring our work is effective, impactful, and aligned with our global priorities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Supporting the development and implementation of the regional strategy and work programmes that empower transport workers and their unions.
• Political Analysis: Monitoring political and labour developments to inform the ITF’s strategic responses and campaigning priorities in the region.
• Building Power: Building and maintaining strong relationships with affiliated and prospective unions to grow our membership and strengthen the movement.
• Coordination & Governance: Supporting the work of our regional governance bodies, including elected Vice-Presidents and National Coordinating Committees.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Establishing strategic relationships with donor organisations and external partners to secure resources and amplify our impact.
• Championing Equality: Ensuring the leadership of women, young workers, and marginalised groups is central to all our regional strategies and projects.
• Deputisation: Acting on behalf of the Regional Secretary when required, representing the ITF at high-level forums and meetings.

About you

The mission and values of the ITF are of utmost importance and as such, the successful candidate for this role must hold high ethical standards, displaying diligence and integrity when representing the organisation.

We are looking for a purpose-driven individual with significant experience of senior leadership within trade unions or social movements within the Asia Pacific region, including the development and implementation of key organisational strategies within a trade union or social movements context within the Asia Pacific region. This person must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The role requires an excellent communicator who had the ability to work effectively to engage and motivate others. It also needs someone who can effectively build relationships, as well as display collaborative and influencing skills.

The Deputy Regional Secretary role for Asia Pacific will be expected to undertake regular international travel globally and in the Asia Pacific region and must be able to work flexibly including during out of office hours.

About the role

You will work closely with the Income Generation Team and Services Teams to develop and maintain long-term sustainable funding from Trusts and Foundations. Through developing and expanding income through grants, evolving our case for support, and managing relationships with a variety of grant funders, you will transform survivors’ lives and help us be part of the systems change to end sexual violence.

You will undertake new prospect research, keep up-to-date with the sector at large, and maintain and grow our funding pipeline. You will also write compelling funding bids, proposals and appeals, alongside timely reports to funders. You will seek opportunities to strengthen and build on existing and lapsed funding relationships and offer opportunities to engage funders directly with our work.

About You

You will be passionate about implementing the SARSAS fundraising strategy ensuring that SARSAS can continue to deliver support to meet the needs of those who have been raped and sexually abused across Avon and Somerset.

You will be a skilled writer who is confident in identifying, researching, and qualifying prospects to continue our successful growth. You will have strong relationship management skills and will be able to build and sustain long-term relationships with funders, as well as identify opportunities to deepen funders’ commitment to our cause.

You will have strong organisational skills, and be able to manage a workload which balances application and reporting deadlines alongside funder stewardship and pipeline development. You will also be a good team player and self-starter – we’re a small team who manage our own workloads, but we relish the opportunity to come together, share ideas and take creative risks.

About SARSAS

SARSAS exists to relieve the trauma and distress, and help rebuild the lives, of survivors who live in Somerset, Bristol, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and BANES, who have experienced any form of sexual violence, at any point in their lives.

SARSAS also campaigns and raises awareness about rape and sexual violence to change the narrative about sexual violence and enable survivor’s voices to be heard. Partnership work with a range of agencies locally and nationally is a priority to enable social change.

SARSAS works to feminist principles: this underpins both what our service is and how it is run. Our work is guided by a trauma-informed approach which understands how traumatic experiences can impact on survivors and keeps an awareness of the effects of trauma at the forefront of our approach to support.

Person Specification

• Excellent relationship building and proposal writing skills. Experience in Trust fundraising or an equivalent field is desirable but not essential.

• Well organised and efficient; calm under pressure; able to juggle competing deadlines and priorities, splitting time across multiple projects.
• Confident with numbers and interpreting project budgets. Some knowledge of Trust fundraising is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details in a timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations pipeline and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

We’re looking for a passionate, driven individual to become a part of Shelter’s fundraising team and play a vital role in our mission to combat homelessness, join us as a Regional Community Fundraiser in the Greater Manchester region, you will work to engage local communities and raise crucial funds to support our fight for home.

About the role

As a Community Fundraiser for Shelter, you will play an integral role in driving our community fundraising strategy across Manchester and the wider Greater Manchester region. About the team

This exciting opportunity sits within Shelter’s Community and Events team which is a part of the Income Generation directorate.  Community & Events is made up of our Community Fundraising, Supporter Experience, Digital Fundraising & Marketing and Mass Participation teams, across the team we look after a wide range of fundraising activities encouraging supporters to raise money and providing them with the support to do so.

In this role, you will report to the Senior Community Fundraising Area Manager for Northern England, who will provide guidance, coaching, and support to help you thrive in your role. The Community & Events Fundraising Lead will drive forward our community and events fundraising, working with colleagues, volunteers, and supporters across Northamptonshire to grow income, raise awareness, and deliver memorable, high-quality events and challenge activities that inspire long-term support.

Purpose of the Role:

• To lead and deliver the hospice’s community and events fundraising programme, ensuring income targets are achieved or exceeded.
• To manage and grow our flagship events (including Twilight Walk, Cycle4Cynthia, Colour Run, and the 40s Big Band Bash).

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 Events & Challenge Fundraising

• Plan, deliver, and evaluate the hospice’s calendar of flagship events (Twilight Walk, Cycle4Cynthia, Colour Run, 40s Big Band Bash) ensuring high-quality participant experience and strong income return.
• Manage the development of challenge events, including open challenges (e.g. skydives, treks, marathons) and bespoke challenges created by the hospice.
• Research, propose, and launch new event opportunities that reflect supporter interests and market trends.
• Set and manage budgets for all events, ensuring strong ROI and accurate forecasting.
• Work with Marketing & Communications colleagues to deliver compelling event campaigns that maximise participation and sponsorship.

Community Fundraising

• Build, support, and steward relationships with community groups, schools, faith groups, businesses, and clubs to grow grassroots fundraising.
• Deliver inspiring talks and presentations across the community to raise awareness and income.
• Provide excellent supporter care for all community fundraisers and volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and supported.

Income Generation & Monitoring

About Quest for Learning
Quest for Learning is an education charity on a mission to close the gap for primary school children in Oxfordshire who are falling behind - often due to complex and compounding disadvantage. Many of the children we support are growing up in poverty, with limited access to books, low parental literacy, and challenging home environments. Some face health inequalities, live in areas affected by crime, or have recently arrived in the UK as refugees or asylum seekers.

Role Purpose

This is a hands-on and outward-facing role for a confident, capable fundraiser ready to lead Quest for Learning’s income generation efforts. As our sole dedicated fundraiser, you’ll take ownership of securing income across a broad mix of streams - including trusts and foundations, community fundraising, individual giving, and corporate partnerships.

You’ll be out and about representing the charity, building relationships with local businesses, community groups, and supporters, and bringing our mission to life with energy and clarity. This is a busy and varied role which often involves working on multiple fundraising activities at once. A typical day could include working on an application to a new funder, designing a supporter newsletter, gathering information for an end of grant report, and researching new prospects.
