Job Purpose

To provide regional team leadership to designated Regional and Area Associations and their volunteers that inspires the delivery of excellent member benefits, sports and leisure events at a local level.

Key accountabilities

• To support volunteers to deliver a regional and local programme that: o Aligns to the CSSC strategy, mission, vision and values o Adheres to operating processes, framework and legislation o Enhances volunteer skills and experiences, celebrates volunteering, and attracts new volunteers to CSSC
• To work collaboratively with the Regional Chair and volunteers to monitor progress in line with their annual plan, attend local meetings and evaluate the delivery of activities and events.
• To foster effective networking and collaboration across the team championing best practices, seeking out new ideas, new ways of doing things, and celebrating success.
• To attract, recruit and induct new volunteers in such a way that they feel confident and can provide an excellent service for our members.
• To help volunteers to meet personal development goals and aspirations, ensuring that key volunteering roles have potential successors, retaining and developing the services and commitment of volunteers with CSSC.

• Intermediate to advanced level of MS work and Excel
• Ability to communicate both through written and verbal
• Full UK driving license as travel will be required for this role
• A relevant degree or professional qualification in volunteer management

is not essential but may be advantageous.

• A working knoweldge of CRM and digital Event Management Systems
• Experience with building and working with high performing teams

We are looking for a Mission Enabler to offer direction and energy to the ministry of Scripture Union with a focus on initiating and maintaining missional opportunities in South Wales. You will be an enthusiastic candidate who will be able to recruit, train, coach and support many Volunteers and Faith Guides working together with them. You will also lead by example, through the modelling of excellent mission delivery to children and young people consistent with Scripture Union’s mission in supporting the pioneering of new mission.

The successful candidate will:

· Be a strategic thinker and will have solid judgment of ministry impact.

· Have considerable insight into ministry with children and young people, be a passionate advocate, an excellent practitioner, and a capable communicator.

· Influence networks, shape opinion, challenge inertia and inspire creativity.

· Be self-disciplined, able to organise and prioritise their own workload, and manage multiple projects.

· Be able to visualise and work towards long-term goals.

· Be open to and comfortable with different traditions, styles and expression of spirituality, prayer, and worship, and has a growing familiarity with and understanding of the Bible. 

· Have a total commitment to God and is a Christian disciple.

· Be able to communicate effectively and speak the Welsh language (would be desirable).

Parkinson’s UK works with health and social care professionals to transform Parkinson’s services across the UK. 

We do this through the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network (PEN), a network of over 7,000 health and care professionals with a shared vision: to build an expert Parkinson’s workforce and improve health and care services for people with Parkinson’s.

We bring together and support health and care professionals to share best practice, network and collaborate, share resources and education, and drive improvements to services for people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

To help us deliver our strategic aims, we are looking for a person with lived experience of Parkinson’s  to take on the role of Lived Experience Lead on a consultancy basis. 

About the role 

In this role, you’ll:

• Provide strategic guidance to the Parkinson’s UK team through the monthly Parkinson’s Excellence Network Steering Group.

• Bring expertise as a person with lived experience of Parkinson’s for Parkinson’s UK teams.

• Drive engagement and participation with the Excellence Network. 

• Inspire, challenge and collaborate with the health and social care professional community to drive significant improvements to Parkinson’s services.

• Act as an ambassador for the Excellence Network. 

• Attend the annual in-person PEN National and Regional Clinical Leads meeting.

• Support the PEN national calendar of events through attendance or promotion. This includes Excellence Hub meetings and other activities centred around our national priorities.

• Join relevant governance groups, including the UK Parkinson’s Audit Governance Board. 

What expertise you’ll bring:

• Have lived experience of Parkinson’s and awareness of how the condition presents itself for other people with Parkinson’s. 

• Be skilled in sharing insight and lived experience with a range of stakeholders to help inform decision making.

• Have an understanding of health and social care support to people with Parkinson’s  to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

• This role does not require NHS Professional/Clinical experience, and we encourage applicants without a healthcare background to apply
