We are looking for an Engagement Manager (East of England) to join us on a fixed term contract, for 12-months, to cover maternity leave.

About the role

The key purpose of the Engagement Manager role is to deliver regional Sight Loss Councils across the East of England and to engage with blind and partially sighted people across the region.  We currently have two Sight Loss Councils (SLCs) in this region, so the postholder will be expected to care-take and develop both SLCs, focusing on the retention of the volunteers engaged and making sure the projects and work they are involved in, continue with success. You will also be managing and developing stakeholder relationships across all the areas in which we work including transport and health sectors, as well with local authorities and arts and culture venues in the region.

About you

You will have the passion and ability to use your lived experience or experience to influence change, for the benefit of blind and partially sighted people. As an experienced volunteer manager, you will engage and lead Sight Loss Council members in the implementation of the region’s business plans to bring about change across transport, health and the built environment, as well as areas of local interest such as arts and culture or retail.

You will be a self-starter and work well on your own but will also enjoy being a part of a team of other Engagement Managers across the country, with whom you can learn from, as well as share good practice with.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join our nursing team.

You’ll act as a specialist resource for Breast Cancer Now, clients, healthcare professionals and the wider public on the subject of breast health, screening, risk, benign breast disease and primary breast cancer. This includes providing information and support to clients through our helpline and Ask Our Nurse (AON) written enquiry service.

You’ll also work closely with other teams across the charity and externally on our breast awareness messaging and breast screening in addition to breast health and breast cancer.

About you

You will be a registered general nurse, with a relevant qualification in cancer or breast cancer nursing, either stand-alone or as part of degree studies.

You’ll have knowledge of breast cancer having worked directly with breast cancer patients or in breast screening. You’ll have the ability to show tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

With your excellent communication skills you will be able to present both formal and informal teaching to a variety or audiences.

The key purpose of this role is to manage the reporting, visualisation, interpretation and use of project monitoring data through Malaria Consortium’s global Project and Results database (PReS), working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure they receive the correct training on the system, maintaining standards of data reporting and use, and analysing project data to monitor progress against organisational strategic targets. Role Overview

As a member of the Joint Leadership Team, the post-holder will contribute to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects, helping to influence and meet the charity’s strategic objectives. About You

Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, you will have experience of delivering health service projects and programmes and have come from a health services or medical charity background. You will be adept at developing operational performance metrics, strategies and objectives and have a proven track record in developing strong working relationships with external stakeholders. Whilst not essential, experience of managing and leading a team would be beneficial, as would be an awareness and knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis.

The Generation Wild programme is fully-funded until August 2027. The Marketing & Communications Manager is a brand-new position which will sit on the Museum’s Management Board and be involved in site-wide decision making and realising the aims of the Trusts.

We are looking for a dynamic and creative individual with a background in marketing and communications to help us engage with new audiences, raise visibility and generate footfall and income. This position is ideal for someone ready to take the next step into a managerial role, or an experienced professional seeking a new challenge.

Working with all members of the museum team the post holder will provide support to make sure everyone’s marketing needs are met and that Exhibitions and Learning activities are properly promoted. As a new paid position this is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on the role.

Overall Purpose

• To manage the development and delivery of the HRM Marketing & Communications Strategy
• To develop a comprehensive marketing plan covering all areas of the Museum’s activity (including Exhibitions, Learning, Retail)
• To engage and develop new and current audiences, ensuring that messaging is relevant and accurate and making sure that all areas of the Museum are appropriately represented.
• To develop and deliver communication and marketing plans, managing multiple campaigns and channels of communication. Realise new and maintain current marketing opportunities for the organisation.
• To promote the Museum’s brand and build its reputation locally, regionally and, where appropriate, nationally.
• To manage relationships with relevant partners such as press, local cultural partners, freelance consultants, trustees and other stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy, insight and evaluation

• Work with the Evaluation Team to gain visitor insight data that can be fed into the marketing strategy for the museum
• Deliver, with support from trustees, the marketing and communications strategy, including branding, managing social accounts, distribution and display of print marketing and creating newsletters
• Manage, deliver and monitor engaging integrated and audience-led marketing campaigns and communications that grow visitor numbers and revenue for the museum
• Support the development of business strategies, understanding the key objectives of the organisation and all activity being undertaken
• Report regularly on marketing activity across all channels, including collating press coverage, reviewing website data, social media reach and make recommendations for improvements and implement where necessary.

Press, print and design

• Develop and maintain relationships with press organisations and freelancers to distribute exhibition press releases as appropriate
• Provide regular listings to media and listing platforms, locally and regionally
• Manage design work ensuring brand and communication cohesion across campaigns.
• Prepare and supervise the production (with external suppliers where necessary) of promotional communications to include design and print of publicity brochures, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photography.
• Work with colleagues to support promotion of Exhibition and Learning programmes and enhance visibility of the museum through signage and wayfinding.

Digital (website, social media, e-newsletters)

• Oversee the creation and implementation of all HRM digital content, covering website, social media and email marketing; ensuring engaging and accessible copy, correct data management, and monitoring and responding to customer enquiries, where applicable.
• Work with colleagues in Retail, Learning and Exhibitions to ensure effective promotion of activities across digital platforms.
• Stay up to date on digital trends and ensure the museum is making the most of opportunities for digital engagement.

Other

• Manage a small team of marketing volunteers and chair regular meetings of the Marketing Committee.
• Attend monthly Management Board meetings (currently hybrid) and contribute to regular team meetings.
• Work with colleagues across the organisation to understand and support their marketing and communications needs.
• Manage a marketing and communications budget.
• Carry out other reasonable duties that may be required.

Person Specification

Essential

• Demonstrable marketing and communications experience
• Evidence of delivering successful marketing communications campaigns across print and digital channels
• Confident managing your own workload and prioritising tasks to meet deadlines
• Ability to manage and update websites
• Proven track record of creating engaging digital content
• An eye for detail and good design
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
• Ability to work in a small team, and to maintain strong and effective working relationships with volunteers and colleagues.
• IT literate with specific experience of using Microsoft Office Suite
• Good negotiation skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with diplomacy
• Quickly find your feet in a fast-paced work environment

Desirable

• Experience working in arts charity or museums and galleries sector
• Basic photography and video skills
• Knowledge of, or ability to learn, other software packages, such as Mailchimp and Canva
• Experience managing volunteers or staff
• Experience promoting cultural events
• Understanding of UK General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)
• Knowledge of SEO

Other Information

• Annual leave entitlement is 28 days, pro-rata, including Bank Holidays, taken by mutual agreement with the Museum Manager.
• The post holder is expected to work in the office 2 days a week and can work remotely 1 day a week.
• A staff appraisal system is used, with a performance review annually.
• The post is subject to a 6 month probation period.
• Two months' notice of resignation must be given.

This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including direct dialogue, direct mail, digital and telephone, helping fund research that will save and improve lives.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising strategy and continue investment in Acquisition. You’ll drive on campaigns across a broad range of channels, with the aim of recruiting new, and re-engaging, lapsed regular and cash supporters. Job Title: Deputy Service Manager 

Location: In Service based in Croydon, CR0 1EB. You will be required to work across multiple services within the area. 

Salary: £30,200

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday, working across a rota which will include day and night shifts as we provide a 24 hour service.  

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our team based in Croydon, providing leadership and line management to a team of night staff which is around 10 people in total. You will provide support and supervision sessions at night, and general leadership to the team so they feel empowered to be productive and perform well within their roles. You will further ensure a quality service is delivered in line with our contractual requirements to the residents. You will be responsible for creating a psychologically informed environment (PIE) with person centred support during all hours. You will work closely with the day teams to ensure a smooth handover from the day to night. 

This service is a Forensic Mental Health provision for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. For your own personal safety, you will require to have access to your own transport as you will need to travel between our 4 sites during the night shift to provide managerial support to the teams. The teams support our residents with person centred support, to empower them to overcome their personal barriers with their mental health, to have greater independence and fulfilled living. The service is responsible for holding various activities, group sessions, and one to one support to enable residents to build their personal skills and experiences to achieve their goals. 

The role includes:

• Line Management and Leadership, supporting your team providing advice, guidance and support throughout their employment lifecycle
• Support the Service Manager in leading the day to day operational delivery of the service
• Risk Management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
• Property and Housing Management, ensuring the accommodation meets our requirements, and repairs and maintenance are regularly reported and completed
• Financial Management, including petty cash and budget management
• Contract management and Internal auditing, admin, and general other duties as required.

• Manage queries and correspondence relating to professional standards in accordance with organisational service standards
