About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to:

    • Lead the development and delivery of our national Domestic Abuse strategy, ensuring alignment with policy, commissioning priorities, and our values.
    • Champion best practice and drive transformational change in service design and delivery.
    • Represent Victim Support in national forums, partnerships, and consultations, advocating for victims and influencing sector-wide policy.
    • Oversee the creation and piloting of innovative approaches to increase engagement and quality of domestic abuse services.
    • Collaborate with leaders, internal teams and external partners to ensure our procedures, guidance, and training reflect the latest legislation and sector standards.
    • Engage with service users and frontline staff to ensure our strategy is grounded in lived experience and operational realities.
    • Build and maintain strategic relationships with commissioners, funders, and sector partners to secure future opportunities and influence policy.
    • Shape evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches


About you

      • Significant experience in domestic abuse service delivery, policy, or commissioning.
      • Proven ability to lead innovation and large-scale strategic programmes.
      • Strong understanding of the DA sector, VAWG policy, commissioning frameworks, and safeguarding.
      • Dynamic communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
      • Knowledge of trauma-informed practice and intersectional approaches.


Additional Information

Regular travel across England and Wales is required.
