About the role

Our Participation and Involvement Manager will build on existing practice across the organisation and lead on the implementation and further development of a participation and involvement framework, enabling a large and diverse range of kinship carers to share their views and expertise meaningfully, safely and effectively to shape Kinship’s activity. It will also support our growing participation and involvement activity which involves children, young people and young adults with experience of growing up in kinship care.

You will work closely with kinship carers and colleagues across the organisation to understand the key challenges and opportunities with embedding participatory methods, including co-production and co-design, which improve Kinship’s work – right from the design and delivery of our advice and support services through to influencing policy and campaigning for change.

With support from colleagues, you will act as the key cross-organisational adviser on participation and involvement practice, supporting and empowering colleagues to develop the skills and knowledge they need to embed a consistent approach to the involvement of kinship carers to best suit the needs of their roles.

As an enthusiastic and engaging facilitator, and an advocate for participatory methods, you will sensitively and skillfully work alongside kinship carers and colleagues to deliver high quality involvement activity which supports the charity’s mission and aims. You will also be an experienced project manager, ensuring all activity is appropriately monitored and evaluated, and aligned with best practice around equality and diversity, remuneration, safeguarding and governance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Refine and further develop an existing organisational participation and involvement framework which supports staff to meaningfully, safely and effectively involve kinship carers in their work.
• Design and implement a plan to embed effective practice based on the framework across Kinship, building a positive organisational culture and providing appropriate training, upskilling and support to colleagues to ensure consistency of delivery and experience for kinship carers.
• Lead a cross-organisational working group of people with relevant lived, learned and professional experiences to support and advise on embedding high-quality participation and involvement activity.
• Work closely with colleagues across the whole organisation to understand their bespoke needs, strengths and requirements around implementing participatory methods in their day-to-day work, and develop strategic relationships with colleagues in areas with more extensive existing participatory or adjacent activity (e.g. research, volunteering).
• Develop and recruit a network of people with lived experience interested in being more intensively involved in participatory activities, with a focus on increasing the diversity of people working with us.

Essential experience includes:

• Experience managing and leading the delivery of participation or involvement activity with people with lived experience of social issues.
• A commitment to meaningful participation and involvement activity, including a nuanced understanding of the individual and organisational opportunities and challenges associated with this.
• Knowledge of models, methodologies and approaches used in high quality participation and involvement activity, and strong skills in creative facilitation – particularly with groups.
• An understanding of kinship care and how this may impact on kinship carers’ involvement with Kinship and our activity.
• Experience of effective project management with strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

About the role

• Cultivating and managing an existing portfolio of high-net worth individuals and charitable trusts and foundations

• Soliciting five and six figure gifts from high-net worth individuals and charitable trusts and foundations, both verbally and by creating compelling funding proposals
• Supporting the Head of Strategic Projects to identify and develop high value (six figure plus) charitable trust and foundation opportunities and bids that align with the charity's ambitions

About you

To be successful in this role you must have;

• Proven experience of securing five and six figure gifts from major donors and/or charitable trusts and foundations from first approach through to solicitation and stewardship
• Experience of fundraising within complex organisations such as the NHS, Higher Education or larger charities
• Proven experience of managing and developing high-value funder relationships
• Experience of identifying opportunities and matching donor interests with the priorities of the hospital, developing inspiring asks and proposals

This is an exciting opportunity to join our service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.

The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.  

You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.

Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

You should be an excellent communicator and able to motivate and empower others. This is a full-time role.

SANE is a UK-wide mental health charity working to improve the quality of life of anyone affected by mental illness. It aims to raise awareness and understanding of all mental health conditions; fight to improve frontline mental health services for individuals and carers; provide support, information and guidance through SANEline, our Call Back service, email and text support; and promote and host research into causes, treatments and therapies through its Prince of Wales International Centre for SANE research.

About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated Wellbeing and Training Officer to support the wellbeing and development of our SANEline volunteers. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our volunteers feel valued and supported to provide a high standard of emotional support to our callers.

Working closely with the Training and Volunteer Manager, you will help ensure that all volunteers receive timely, appropriate and emphatic support. You will also play role in delivering welfare support, planning and delivering training sessions and promoting volunteer engagement and retention.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide valuable, hands-on experience in delivering wellbeing support and training for volunteers who provide emotional support to vulnerable callers.

Salary: £27,000 -29,000 pro rata, depending on experience

About you:

- You must have proven experience of providing emotional support, counselling or therapy to adults.

- You must have proven experience of designing and delivering training in a professional setting.

- You are a warm and confident communicator with the ability to build trust and rapport with people from diverse backgrounds.

- You are a confident group facilitator, comfortable with delivering training to diverse groups and communicating complex topics with clarity.

ASA also owns and manages the Advice Quality Standard (AQS), the only independently audited quality mark designed specifically for providers of generalist and specialist social welfare legal advice services.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated and organised Project Manager to lead the AQS Access Pathway Project, funded by City Bridge Foundation. This newly created role will be responsible for redesigning and updating the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and developing a new progression-based Access Pathway for advice services.

This is a fixed-term role, with funding secured for a minimum of 36 months. You will work closely with our Deputy Director and a wide range of stakeholders to successfully deliver a new version of AQS and its accompanying framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, manage, and deliver the AQS Access Pathway Project in collaboration with the ASA Deputy Director.

• Convene and facilitate a Project Advisory Group comprising ASA members and key stakeholders.

• Engage with external stakeholders including auditing and accrediting bodies such as AgeUK, Citizens Advice, Welsh Government, and the Money and Pensions Service.

• Promote and communicate the project to advice services, funders, and wider voluntary sector audiences.

• Oversee project monitoring and evaluation, including data collection and reporting to ASA’s Board and funders.

• Support budget tracking and financial reporting in collaboration with senior leadership.

• Actively recruit new services to engage with AQS and promote interest in quality assurance across the sector.

• Undertake other duties as required to support successful delivery and integration of the project.

The Role
As part of our ongoing strategy for growth and national impact, SCAA is seeking a motivated, strategic and creative individual to take ownership of our marketing and communications function — helping raise the profile of the service, strengthen brand visibility, and support our ambitious income goals. The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of SCAA’s brand, marketing and communications function. They will lead and manage a small in-house team as well as external consultants and contractors, as required  — ensuring that all content, campaigns and communications align with our brand, engage our audiences effectively, and support organisational goals across fundraising, awareness and supporter engagement. With a strong focus on brand management, digital growth, and content oversight, this role will ensure that SCAA’s voice is consistent, compelling and clearly connected to our ambition that no one in Scotland should die because help cannot get there in time.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base at Aberdeen Airport, where our emergency response helicopters and operational crew are located.  The usual hours and days of work will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, however this role may involve occasional evening or weekend work, as well as the occasional requirement to provide media on-call cover. 3. About the role

The Office and Fundraising Administrator is an important role within Save the Rhino, supporting key functions primarily within our Fundraising and Operations pillars.

Reporting to the Operations and Finance Lead, the Office and Fundraising Administrator undertakes a range of administration and finance tasks to support office management, financial management, and fundraising, and is one of the first points of contact for our supporters and members. The Office and Fundraising Administrator will need to work regularly with Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets and presentations, and with our Salesforce-based supporter and donation management systems. The Office and Fundraising Administrator also supports the Fundraising Team with aspects of supporter engagement and manages SRI’s volunteer programme.

In addition, depending on the experience and interests of the successful candidate, there may be opportunities to develop other skill sets.

4. Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of the Office and Fundraising Administrator are to:

• Work with the Operations and Finance Lead, including:
  • recruitment and management of office volunteers and providing admin support to recruitment processes;
  • financial administration, including importing and reconciling donations and other income, logging and banking cheques and cash;
  • overseeing the management of SRI’s office, including booking annual inspections / tests, carrying out regular fire-safety checks, liaising with suppliers and contractors, and acting as the lead Fire Marshall;
  • acting as a second point of contact with SRI’s IT contractors, maintaining logs of equipment and licence allocations, acting as an Administrator on some IT services (depending on experience), and inducting new team members on key SRI IT platforms;
  • managing stocks of stationery, office consumables and equipment; assisting with booking work-related travel / accommodation for team members and volunteers, as well as occasional booking of external meeting rooms, venues etc.; assisting with administration of Board / subcommittee meetings, including diary management; and maintaining a log of SRI’s policies, and their review dates.
• Support the Community Fundraising Manager, including:
  • managing communications with fundraisers; setting up appointments; assisting with event preparation and logistics; welcoming fundraisers when visiting the office; assisting with the recruitment of London Marathon runners;
  • recruiting and managing event volunteers; creating and maintaining accurate records of fundraisers, donors and volunteers using SRI’s Salesforce CRM; and helping to set up fundraising and campaign pages on fundraising platforms.
• Support the wider fundraising team through:
  • engaging with SRI’s members, including: sending out membership packs, responding to queries, and chasing failed payments;
  • assisting with updating the online merchandise shop and creating bespoke stores for specific events, e.g. in schools;
  • monitoring participation in SRI’s lottery, importing player information into Salesforce, and providing monthly reports to the local council; and updating records linked to legacies.
• Support general office administration
  • answering general enquiries via the phone and main office inbox; receiving post; taking payments over the phone; taking notes of the weekly team meeting; and other tasks as needed and consistent with the role.
