Person Specification 

• A practising Christian who is passionate about personally representing the Christian values of Resurgo and committed to Resurgo's mission to inspire and equip organisation to bring about ambitious and sustainable social change.
• Excellent relationship building and application writing skills. Experience in Trust fundraising or an equivalent field is desirable but not essential.
• Some knowledge of statutory fundraising is desirable but not essential.
• Extremely organised and efficient; calm under pressure, able to juggle competing deadlines and priorities, splitting time across multiple projects.
• Excellent people skills, able to relate well to colleagues of all seniority levels, freelancers, and external agencies.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

It’s an exciting time to take on this refreshed role as Digital Marketing Manager at Hospice UK. After significant investment in our digital infrastructure and an overhaul of our communications strategy in recent years, we’re looking for someone to take our digital offering and supporter engagement to the next level.

Line managing a team of two, and with shared oversight of the organisation’s brand, this role leads the delivery of key digital marketing products in the organisation, including our Dying Matters campaign. It’s an influential and visible role within the organisation, and has the great privilege of overseeing the telling of deeply moving human stories of grief and compassion at the end of life.

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for creating a rich and varied online experience for Hospice UK’s supporters. Overseeing our digital marketing and content strategies, you will work with powerful personal stories of hospice care, loss and grief. Your goal is to use these to inspire our public audiences to get behind our mission to make sure end of life care is there for everyone who needs it.

You’ll be a key member of our External Affairs directorate, and you’ll manage our digital content and marketing team, leading the delivery of key campaign and marketing content and products. The team is currently made up of three people. You’ll have a sophisticated understanding of how to get our audiences’ attention through effective use of tools including Meta Business, Google search and email marketing.

We recognise that search engine optimisation (SEO) and user experience are both critical to achieving our business objectives. You’ll lead on planning content that is SEO-optimised to get us appearing in front of as many people as possible, and structured in a way that gives users a top-class online experience.

Our social media channels have undergone a transformation since our brand refresh in May 2024, and are now engaging our supporter base – and those new to hospice care – in a highly effective way. You’ll lead the team that plans and produces content for both our member and supporter-facing social channels, finding new and engaging ways to keep growing our social presence.

We’ve made great strides over the past 18 months in working much more effectively with our Income Generation directorate across appeals, organic social media and paid social marketing campaigns. You’ll be a key part of the continuation and development of our work here, sourcing stories and content that further develops our success in these spaces.

With a highly motivated Membership Engagement team in place to strengthen our position as a membership body with the UK’s 200+ hospices, you’ll collaborate with this team to identify opportunities to work with our members for things like photography and filming, social media, and other campaign-related content.

You’ll have a key input into the delivery of content for Hospice UK’s flagship campaigns including Dying Matters and Hospice Care Week. With shared responsibility for brand development and guardianship, the role has significant visibility across the organisation, requiring strong relationship, motivation and influencing skills.

This is a reshaped role which comes at an exciting and important time in Hospice UK’s digital evolution. We’ve significantly invested in our digital footprint and infrastructure in recent years, with a new website and CRM, and a recently completed digital fundraising and social media strategy review now ready for implementation. Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Location: Sidcup, Greater London, and hybrid working of 1 day in the office and 4 days remote (subject to change)

The Programme Officer will work closely with both the project teams and the wider organisation to support the effective management and delivery of projects across from our London office.

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. They will work closely with other members of the programme delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact and will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches. 

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

1. Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Senior Project Manager of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues and Project Managers on project support needs.

2. Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Senior Programme Manager
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts.
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools.

3. Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Around 3 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector

About The Role

The Royal British Legion is looking for a Prospect Research Manager to join our Philanthropy team. This role will play a central part in identifying and researching potential supporters, helping to grow our prospect pipeline and strengthen income generation across a range of fundraising areas. Responsibilities

In this role you will have 6 key responsibilities:

Financial: Managing a portfolio of high-value relationships and to deliver income at the agreed annual target in the first year with an expectation this will rise year on year.

Management:  You will be one of the first points of contact internally for trusts/foundations and individual major donors (IMD) related queries and will work in accordance with the major giving team strategic plan and existing procedures, practices and standards.

Relationship:You will seek to actively develop and manage excellent relationships with an agreed portfolio of trusts/foundations and IMD capable of donating a minimum of £25,000 or more as a single gift each year. In addition you will need to:

• Develop and implement professionally written action plans which will engage, inform and nurture prospects and donors to deliver gifts at the agreed level.
• Undertake timely administration to capture and record knowledge of supporters within the customer relationship management database. Work with the organisation’s systems team to utilise this information to enhance applications and giving levels
• Pro-actively develop relationships with key stakeholders within the MAF organisation(s)
• Present MAF proposals alone or with others, (member of the operational field team, CEO etc), to prospects and donors.
• Participate in events to develop relationships with donors, inviting individuals from portfolios where appropriate and co-ordinate visits to MAF overseas operations where appropriate to introduce these donors directly to the work of MAF.  

Information: Information management and analytical thinking is essential as you will present detailed, accurate and high-quality fundraising proposals to prospects and donors, ensuring any specific deadlines or funding windows are complied with.   In addition you will need to:

• Ensure that donors are thanked appropriately for their gifts with timely and appropriate reports, letters and phone call.
• Provide timely ‘report backs’ that are appropriate/agreed with each donor, to evidence effective use of funding and to encourage the opportunity to make further applications based on good stewardship and achievement of agreed outcomes.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge, and the funding priority, of projects available for funding by trusts/foundations supporters and prospects.
• Actively seeking to grow the trusts/foundations portfolio and income through the use of research
• Attending regular appropriate training courses, external forums and networks to ensure continuous personal development 

Major Donor team (practice/ procedures/training):As a key member of the team you will need to ensure procedures and standards are developed/maintained to ensure we are effective and compliant with any legislation/regulation.

CRM Database: To provide support to the Partnership Executive, who will be the team’s CRM database lead and maintain a thorough working understanding of MAF UK’s CRM system in order to answer specific team queries.  You will need to support the teams day-to-day CRM activities including producing reports, importing data, adding activities, amending details and any other relevant tasks

What will I be doing?

• Driving continued growth of CRUK audiences and supporters by proactively managing the delivery of the Giving Platforms programme with implementation plans, working collaboratively and cross-functionally across MFE and beyond, within the allocated budget

• Ensuring that agile cross-functional teams deliver against shared audiences, volume, value, contribution and other objectives, by effectively managing activities, while empowering team members to make decisions

• Collaborating with MFE Proposition teams to develop understanding of their audience needs and income objectives, and supporting them to achieve this by implementing tests and initiatives that leverage opportunities on third party and CRUK owned giving platforms

• Driving a culture of end-to-end delivery, building excellent working relationships, and ensuring a collective understanding of the Giving Platforms programme

• Ensuring that standards are set and upheld for proposition squad processes and culture - including frequent touchpoints and communication cross-functionally, in conjunction with the Senior Programme Manager, Programme Community of Practice and any external benchmarking of best practice in our sector

• Ensuring sound resource allocation plans, proposition briefs and business cases are developed

• Facilitating group activity e.g. proposition squad or working group, including cross-functional decision making, dependency, risk, and issue mediation
