We work with the Richmond General Practice Alliance (RGPA) and our local Primary Care Networks to deliver personalised care services: Social Prescribing and Proactive Anticipatory Care (PAC). This allows GPs and other health care professionals to refer patients to a Link Worker or Care Coordinator, who can work with the individual and connect them with services and activities in their community. We have a team of 15 Link Workers and Care Coordinators spread throughout the borough and in this role you will lead and manage the team.

The NHS Plan also highlighted the need to focus on the prevention of long-term conditions and reduce health inequalities faced by sections of society. You will also lead the delivery of ‘Health in Your Hands’ and a Community Health and Wellbeing Programme, which focuses on targeting localities that are facing health inequalities due to high levels of social deprivation.

About the role

Position: Programme Officer

Reporting to: Senior Programme Manager

Purpose

The Programme Officer will be responsible for supporting the effective implementation of project delivery activities across our portfolio, predominantly in Africa, Europe, Central Asia, and the Middle East. 

The post holder will support project delivery, ensuring quality expectations (internal and client), delivering within the scope and budgeted resources of projects, and in line with project timelines. The post holder will work closely with other members of the project delivery team, our technical team, delivery partners, and consultants to ensure projects maximise their positive impact.

The Programme Officer will also support the Senior Programme Manager to disseminate good management practice across the organisation, and advise on delivery approaches.

Main Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Programme Officer include the following:

Project Support

• Provide support to Programme Managers in the delivery of projects, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and scope and comply with client contracts
• Take on the project management of assigned select projects within a determined budget/complexity threshold, ensuring that they are delivered to time and quality
• Set-up and monitor project workplans, including change requests ensuring that approvals are formally recorded and filed
• Manage day-to-day relationships with delivery partners and internal team(s) and build a solid understanding of delivery needs and timelines across projects
• Monitor and support timely client and consultant billing and invoices attached to delivery
• Support onboarding of consultants for new projects, including due diligence checks and contract preparation based on set templates
• Ensure project management software and tools are accurate and kept up to date for allocated projects
• Provide timely responses to client queries and alert the Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management of any potential risks
• Lead duty of care and travel planning for staff and consultants, working alongside administrative officers
• Liaise closely with technical colleagues, Head of team, and Programme Managers / Officers on project support needs.

 Project Financial Management

• Monitor project budget performance, capturing variances and liaising with the Finance Team and Head of UK/Kenya Programme Management
• Monitor and support the processing of consultants’ expenses/fees against contracts and client invoices against contracts
• Make recommendations to ensure financial outcomes are met with respect to time, quality and cost, and provide early warning of project overspend
• Prepare internal project update reporting including finances and resourcing using required management tools. 

Organisational Support and Business Development

• Provide support in strengthening policies, procedures, and management tools for Development Pathways
• Coordinate with wider project teams to ensure technical capacity is well planned across Development Pathways’ portfolio of projects 
• Signpost colleagues to relevant project management tools and processes, when required
• Support project closure processes as required, capturing and sharing lessons internally
• Provide ad hoc input to evolving organisational requirements as directed by senior members
• Assist with the identification and monitoring of business opportunities in donor markets, as requested
• Update SharePoint and ensure project data sheets are developed and up to date to facilitate bids for tenders
• Collate and share project information to support the Business Development and Communications department.

Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours

The Programme Officer will require the following combination of applied skills, knowledge, and behaviours to successfully contribute to team goals:

Required:

• An undergraduate degree in an appropriate subject 
• Up to 2 years’ experience working on project support or delivery within international development,  research and/or the consultancy sector
• Ability and confidence to work independently and manage their own workflows
• Good communication skills and an ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders at the individual level and in representation of the organisation
• Excellent drafting skills.
•  Ability to understand and effectively analyse and utilise financial information
• Proven ability to resolve problems, anticipate barriers and create practical solutions

The grants operations and data manager is a newly created role, within Moorfields Eye Charity's grants and research team, to support, manage and develop grant funding operations. This is a really exciting time to join the team as this position will play a key role in the ongoing optimisation of the teams grants management system (Flexigrant, implemented 2024) and also the underpinning funding operations to support the delivery of our first grants strategy, due to be launched in early 2026.

· Gather and write compelling stories to share our impact with funders, supporters and media through interviews our families, ensuring brand compliance and accessibility.

Celebrity and Talent Management

· Strategically manage our ambassador programme, keeping our mission prominent and visible, including securing new patrons and ambassadors

Communications

· Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive Communications plan that aligns with our mission and goals and marketing and brand work, maximising the impact of planned activities

· Ensure our story is told in the most compelling way by collaborating with our Programmes team, Roald Dahl Nurses, and their patients and families to create evidence-based, impactful case stories, imagery, videos, and films.

· Create and deliver both long-term and annual communications strategies, addressing local, regional, and national activities.

· Handle crisis communications professionally and efficiently, maintaining the charity’s reputation.

· Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners (including funders) to ensure consistent and effective communication across all channels.

· Track and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities and campaigns, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.

· Work with Director of Fundraising and Communications and Brand and Marketing manager to lead the creation, development, and implementation of impactful awareness and fundraising campaigns that amplify our messages, expand our reach, drive growth, and maximise income generation

· Forge partnerships with key stakeholders, including media, to extend the reach of our campaigns.

· Develop and manage effective relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders, including supporters and trustees, media, other charities, companies, and healthcare professionals.

Teamwork & Administration

· Analyse communications quarterly, preparing information for the trustee sub-committees with up-to-date coverage examples to share with the team and Board.

· Monitor and share relevant charity and media with the wider team and Trustees

· Keep shared drive and CRM (Beacon) records up to date.

· Participate in team meetings across fundraising, programmes, and communications.

Job Purpose

This is an exciting time to join our small and impactful team, as we enter year two of our four-year strategy, with goals to broaden and deepen our reach and impact, diversify our funding and delivery partnerships, and boost our programmes to support year 6 to 7 transition and tutor career development opportunities. The Tutor and Partnerships Manager is responsible for ensuring our tutors have the skills, support, and development opportunities to not just excel in their tutoring role, but also to find meaningful employment or training following graduation. This will include:

• Line managing and supporting the Tutor Coordinator, and overseeing the 100+ strong tutor cohort
• Building and managing employer and university partnerships
• Creating a strategic vision for Tutor Development and Training Monitoring tutor recruitment to ensure each year’s cohort is characterised by quality, commitment, and diversity, while growing in line with our annual strategic delivery goals

Most importantly, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will consistently guide and steer the direction of the Tutor Team to ensure TU continues to make a positive impact at the end of the programme – thus making you accountable for the retention and development of tutors as we continue to grow into new areas of the country. This is a crucial role which drives team performance towards achieving our strategic objectives and ensures the tutor team and cohort is operating in such a way that we are able to hit our organisational targets for impact, finance, and growth. The Tutor and Partnerships Manager is a varied role, reflecting the many different aspects of the tutors’ involvement and importance to Tutors United. As well as overseeing the successful execution of daily operations, the Tutor and Partnerships Manager will work closely with the Senior Management Team and the programmes team to create strategic development opportunities for our tutors that enhance our ability to attract high quality tutors and ensure their own personal and professional growth. You will also develop and refine our Tutor Impact and Measurement systems, so that we are able to make data-driven decisions around recruitment, retention, and tutor development. This will involve identifying trends amongst tutors, making strategic adjustments in response to those trends, and reporting to senior members of Tutors United and our Board of Trustees at different points throughout the academic year. You will also work closely with the Programme and Impact Manager to ensure strong collaboration and cohesion across the frontline delivery team as a whole. Overview

The Olive Tree Cancer Support Group (the Olive Tree), is a registered Charity, dedicated to the relief of the physical and/or emotional distress of persons with cancer and their partners, families, friends and carers, through the provision of services, operating from its support centres in Crawley and Horsham.

A Centre Manager is being sought to manage all aspects of the Horsham centre, working closely with the Crawley Centre Manager and reporting to the Board of Trustees, delivering the charity’s goals and long-term strategy. The responsibilities include staff and volunteer management and recruitment, onboarding new patients / service users, engaging with external stakeholders and all other operational and day to day financial matters, including supervision of team members responsible for fundraising activities, social media and communications. 

Salary: £31,000 to £35,000, depending on experience

Full time, Monday – Friday, flexible as required.

Location: Lavinia House, Horsham with some local travel.

Fundraising Manager

Hours: 37 hours a week

Salary: £44,100 per annum
