As Trust and Foundation Fundraising Manager, you’ll be working to generate income which will enable Settle to expand its reach, achieve its strategic goals and, ultimately, make a real difference to the amazing young people we serve.
You’ll work closely with our senior leadership and support team to help deliver our fundraising strategy. Reporting directly to our Head of Fundraising, you’ll lead on writing grant applications, reporting to funders, managing our prospects pipeline and developing and nurturing long-lasting and rewarding relationships with Trust and Foundation funders.
As a potential candidate, you’ll bring at least two years of grant-writing experience to the role and a strong track record of securing 5-6 figure sums. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to step up to a managerial role, or someone already established at that level.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Individual Giving Manager to join the Fundraising team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity, for 12 months. This role is critical for the success of our income generation activities and acquisition of new supporters.
We are looking for a target driven team player who will skilfully and tactfully manage a variety of stakeholder relationships, including our face-to-face agency partners and volunteers. This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to build on successful growth of existing supporter acquisition initiatives.
About the team
This role sits within the Fundraising, Marketing & Communications team. Reporting to the Head of Supporter Engagement, you will also work collaboratively with the Individual Giving Manager – Donor Development, Individual Giving Officer, Supporter Care Co-ordinator, and the Events team. You will also work closely with colleagues across the organisation, including our Branch Network and Regional Hubs to connect with new supporters across the UK and maximise opportunities.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of:
- Experience of developing and running successful individual giving programmes to recruit new donors.
- Experience of managing external relationships at all levels, for example with suppliers, agencies, including effective negotiation on costs and contracts.
- Experience of managing face-to-face fundraising programme.
- Experience of lottery fundraising.
- Experience of working with a supporter database.
- Numerical skills and ability to use Excel and/or PowerBI for tracking, reporting and analysis.

Full Fact is a team of independent fact checkers and campaigners who find, expose and counter the harm it does – a team which has seen firsthand how bad information promotes hate, damages people’s health and hurts democracy. Full Fact fights for the right information to reach the people who need it most, whether that’s individuals making decisions about their health or who to vote for; or politicians debating the future of our country.
This role will manage, develop and grow the charity’s portfolio of trusts and foundation donors, as well as leading and delivering Full Fact’s trust fundraising strategy, identifying and building relationships with new prospects who have the capacity to support at 5/6-figure level. This role will provide strategic oversight and direction for Lepra’s institutional fundraising function to deliver on the restricted and unrestricted income targets. Line managing and leading the Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser in the delivery of the trust fundraising target, and working with the programmes teams in the UK, India and Bangladesh to identify and develop applications to statutory sources and major trusts, leading on the development of detailed project proposals.

We have just completed developing our new multi-year global strategy to take us through to 2030, and to guide our work into the future; and we are using our Centenary year in 2024 as a springboard to launch us into our new strategic period. 2024 is very much a year for looking and planning ahead.

The salary for this position is £28,723 (FTE £35,904) – Manager Level, part time (28 hours – 4 days per week). We have fully embraced flexible working and the role can be either fully remote, hybrid or fully based at our Colchester offices. We offer a lot of flexibility in working practices and there is free reserved parking available. We also offer 26 days annual leave plus public holidays (pro-rated), pension, and support from an in-house well-being team.

As a Proramme Manager you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of Leap’s funded and paid-for programmes. This includes planning and overseeing delivery, coordination with referral partners and managing programme budgets. You will need work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure all organisational needs around impact, evaluation, case studies and other communications are met.

Reporting to the Head of Programme Funding, you will work across the fundraising team, supporting programme set up and reporting, in line with key funding criteria and SOS Children’s Villages monitoring frameworks. You will work with colleagues in SOS Children’s Villages UK and internationally, building capacity in programme design, monitoring and reporting. This includes working with colleagues in multiple countries, collaborating on best practice MEAL work whilst being guided by local knowledge and expertise.
You will hold oversight of the portfolio of programmes being funded by SOS Children’s Villages UK, ensuring the UK based team have the tools, resources and processes to monitor programmes, in partnership with our international colleagues. You will manage reporting timelines, supporting your colleagues to ensure effective delivery of programme reporting, according to the needs of SOS Children’s Villages UK and external donors. You will provide hands on support for the monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting of programmes, taking a lead role in the development of frameworks that will ensure effective capture of data enabling excellent reporting.
We are embarking on ambitious work around data analysis and research, and any experience you have in these fields will be highly valuable, and the appetite to explore them is essential.
You will be an active participant in networks, both globally and within the UK, contributing to our organisational knowledge on how to better monitor and analyse key areas such as gender and inclusivity within our programmes.
This is a home-based role, with regular travel within the UK as well as some international travel which you must be able to undertake.

As Trusts and Foundations Manager, you will advise, develop and implement a strategy to secure income, and build a sustainable income stream, from charitable trusts, National Lottery and statutory bodies as part of the overall fundraising strategy. You will proactively prospect research to identify potential charitable trusts, National Lottery and statutory bodies funding streams with a view to securing restricted and unrestricted income for core activity and for new programmes of work. The Ogden Trust is a charitable Trust, supporting the teaching and learning of physics. The Trust supports a range of initiatives, programmes and projects to promote the teaching and learning of physics.
The Programme Officer will report to the Programme Manager for the Opportunities for All strand of the Ogden strategy, which includes our work with universities to support physics outreach and public engagement and physics-related internships for 16-18-year-olds. They will manage the administrative and reporting side of the programmes, and organise related events.
Who we are looking for
You will need to have a good understanding of the informal science learning landscape and higher education in England and an interest in physics in particular. You must be able to communicate professionally and effectively with outreach professionals, academics and employers in physics-related sectors.
An excellent team player, you will have experience of working in programme administration and events organisation, with strong communication and organisational skills. A track record of building successful working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, particularly higher education and industry and the ability to work on your own initiative are valuable.
