The Role

Reporting into our Customer and Neighbourhood Director, you'll be responsible for the development of strategies, policies and procedures relating to all tenancy sustainment activities. Being a specialist in this field, you'll also scan the horizon to identify potential significant changes in external policy and financial landscape, introducing best practice from other organisations and sectors.

You'll be the main point of contact internally for all matters relating to tenancy sustainment, working collaboratively across the business to ensure that consistent best practices are embedded within Locality teams and the wider business. Externally, you'll represent SNG and our commitment and vision in tenancy sustainment – influencing and working alongside key external stakeholders and delivery partners, building relationships aligned to our corporate and customer strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide and source expert advice, and manage the development of services, to ensure SNG meets its commitments, monitors its performance and evidences its delivery relating to regulatory obligations, changing regulations, guidance and best practice
• Developing and leading a stakeholder management plan across local, regional and national government bodies responsible for the delivery to specialist areas
• Piloting partnerships with other services to enhance the provision of support to SNG's customers and developing funding solutions to provide support to core budgets
• Managing large complex annual budgets, ensuring appropriate monitoring of expenditure and compliance with procedures and levels of approval
• Ensuring that the appropriate training and development programs for Locality teams are in place across a range of areas, including domestic abuse, safeguarding and ASB
• Leading on all strategic and operational elements of service development across localities; proactively involving customers through engagement and scrutiny, to help shape and facilitate the co-creation of the service as required  
• Articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and promoting a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement

What we need from you

Ideally you should have previous experience in a similar senior role, with strong experience and knowledge of the latest requirements for housing providers across tenancy sustainment.  You'll also need:

• Excellent demonstrable knowledge of programme development and performance improvement in a customer focussed environment
• Ability to plan, track and forecast income and expenditure against relevant budgets, to deliver a value for money service whilst taking actions to mitigate any risks
• Evidence of delivering on innovative concepts, utilising future changes in policy to support flexibility in a responsive organisation
• Experience of promoting an organisation at a regional and national level to raise the profile of the business
• Ability to inspire, support and develop others to optimise their performance
• Track record of meeting deadlines and working effectively with others in a complex and dynamic environment
• To have strong people skills and be an effective communicator, able to influence and challenge
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite with intermediate or advanced excel skills

The Role

Head of South East Region: The Role

This strategic leadership role will ensure that TAWS’ contractual obligations and goals are achieved across the South East region by working in partnership with communities and organisations to deliver interventions that promote wellbeing, active citizenship and environmental sustainability.

• Lead regional programmes and services, ensuring delivery meets community needs and achieves meaningful impact
• Co-produce activities with local communities, incorporating interventions such as physical activity, food, active travel, shareshacks, health and growing

Are you looking for a flexible role in finance? We’re looking for a Head of Finance to join our team on a part-time basis.

We are recruiting for a qualified accountant with a calm and professional approach to lead on the financial management and governance of Energise Me.

About You

You’ll need to be a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAEW) with experience of working at a senior level.

You’ll have significant financial management and financial administration experience with proven track record of achievement.

You’ll have experience of administrating and managing payroll.

Charity Accounting experience is desirable.

You’ll be an effective and adaptable communicator, from working with our small team on a one-to-one basis, to providing comprehensive guidance and reports to our Board.

The Role

You’ll be part of Energise Me’s senior leadership team, and lead on the financial management and governance of the charity.

• Plan and co-ordinate annual audit and prepare Energise Me’s annual accounts. Manage external auditors and be the main point of contact for Auditors. Ensure accounts are filed with the Charity Commission on time and lead audit tender process at least every three years
• Manage relationships with external financial providers including banking and investment
• Manage outsourced payroll and ensure charity employees are paid accurately and on time
• Manage Energise Me’s financial and accounting functions and related policies, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations and procedures (Charity Commission guidelines, HMRC and financial regulations)
• Make sure budgets are managed effectively and in line with overall target/costs

About the Organisation

Gloucestershire and Oxfordshire Community Rail Partnership (GOCRP) works to strengthen the community’s relationship with train travel and public transport in the region. The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will be our lead fundraiser, drawing in support and expertise from across the team. They will take ownership of identifying funding sources, refining a strategy, forecasting our fundraising income, and building strong relationships with donors, bringing the experiences of our group members to life in fundraising communications. They will line management a full-time fundraiser who specialises in individual giving while the Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations will lead on grant writing. 

In the last 5 years, CARAS has had huge success, more than trebling our income and enabling us to expand our staff team and therefore our reach. We are a highly impactful organisation that is often looked to for our insight in the sector. We have an ambitious three-year strategy, co-produced with group members, staff, volunteers, trustees and partner organisations, that will launch in September 2025 and guide our current work.

The role: 

The Senior Fundraiser for Trusts and Foundations is required to lead a wide range of activities. You will be expected to manage your own time, prioritising tasks and leading a small team of people who contribute to CARAS’ fundraising. You will inherit excellent systems and skilled, supportive and enthusiastic team players. You will work closely with the CEO, and the senior leadership team which draws together Heads of Service from each of our programme areas. You will collaborate with our Finance Manager to ensure smooth management of grants and donations and will play a key role in budget setting with the Finance Manager and CEO. 

The role demands cross-departmental working, and regular contact with community members to enhance your ability to advocate for them. You will be at the forefront of developing new ideas and approaches, ensuring that teams have the money and resources to have an impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Fundraising 

• Line-manage our Fundraising Officer and work together to generate income to meet CARAS’s budgetary targets through trusts and foundations, individual giving, community fundraising and other means at our disposal. 

• Develop and deliver a fundraising strategy which synchronises with the CARAS Strategic Plan.

• Research and maintain a real-time pipeline of fundraising opportunities and oversee delivery. Lead or allocate all income generation opportunities in good time so that appropriate co-design and decision-making processes are behind applications. 

• Maintain up-to-date records on potential and active funders in CARAS’s database. 

• Ensure compliance with best practice in fundraising including use of data and confidentiality. 

• Work collaboratively with Heads of Service and CARAS’ Finance Manager to develop, deliver and iterate systems to ensure grants are accurately and effectively managed. 

• Work closely with CARAS leadership to align fundraising priorities with programme plans and organisational growth. 

• Lead on the development of programmatic and core budgets for diverse grant funders. 

• Write and submit high-quality, tailored applications that articulate CARAS’s impact, values and plans.  

• Ensure applications are accurate, persuasive, and meet deadlines and funder requirements.  

• Collaborate with the team to gather supporting information, budgets, and case studies. 

Reporting & Stewardship  

● Maintain excellent records and monitor deadlines for reporting and renewals.  

• Develop CARAS’ outcomes report and donor report ensuring they are data rich and clearly demonstrate impact. 

• Monitoring the wealth of data CARAS collects through our frontline service to ensure we stay agile and adaptable within a changing policy context, supporting Heads of Service and other relevant stakeholders to deliver excellence. 

Collaboration with Finance 

• Work collaboratively with the Finance Manager to ensure the rigorous financial management across all income and expenditure to ensure all grants and donations are accurately accounted for and spent. 

• Working collaboratively with the Finance Manager and CEO, develop the organisational annual budget and lead on income projections for the year ahead to ensure expenditure budgets are feasible and unlock multi-year growth. 

Governance 

• Contribute to the maintenance of up-to-date policies relevant to the role.

• Attend board meetings as requested to share reports with the Board on fundraising.

• Work closely with the Treasurer and the Finance Committee on fundraising strategy. 

Cross-Organisational Contribution  

● Coordinate annual impact reporting, including data analysis, case studies, and visual storytelling.  

● Build strong internal relationships and stay connected to CARAS’s work by attending occasional programmes, events and residentials.  

● Contribute ideas and support the fundraising team’s broader work (e.g. campaigns, supporter communications).  

● Engage with programme staff to gather stories and data that demonstrate CARAS’s impact.

The Job

We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. Research funding comes from a mixture of grants/contracts from government, foundations, and (to a lesser extent) corporates.

Responsibilities will include producing regular quarterly forecasts and the annual budget, supporting project costing, overseeing financial management of research projects, and providing variance analysis. You will also collaborate on the production of management accounts, support financial accruals and income recognition, and contribute to the preparation of annual statutory accounts. Additionally, you will oversee auditing processes, ensure project reporting meets funding requirements, and support the implementation of a new finance system.

The Person

We are looking for an ACA/CA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with experience in business partnering, financial project management, and setting budgets and forecasts. Experience in the charity/not-for-profit sector is advantageous, as is knowledge of different funders, philanthropic foundations, government departments, international organisations, businesses, and NGOs (grants and donor reporting). The ideal candidate will be able to present financial information clearly, work with accuracy and consistency, balance multiple deadlines, and have a proactive, self-motivating, and collaborative approach. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels are essential.
