Role Summary
Site managers are responsible for establishing partnerships with University Muslim Student Associations (MSAs) and Islamic Societies (ISocs), and maintaining positive relationships with these sites.
Key tasks

Actively establish and maintain positive relationships with the MSA/ISoc committees and Student Ambassadors to ensure an exceptional onsite experience for students and promote retention of sites

Be responsible for overseeing all onsite logistics through liaison with the Student Ambassador to ensure that onsite logistics including advertising of the class and other required tasks are taken care of by the MSA/ISoc

Be the point of contact for ISocs: answer questions from the MSA/ ISoc committees and Student Ambassadors to the best of your ability and engage them on a 1-1 basis, listen to their needs and concerns and addressing these accordingly

Collect ideas and best-practices from how different MSAs/ISocs are delivering their class

Participate in onboarding current and new sites prior to the start of the academic year

Be the point of contact internally for any queries or updates related to assigned MSAs/ISocs

Role Summary Wekume is seeking a Volunteer International Fundraising Manager to design, build, and lead our international fundraising efforts. This is a key leadership role, critical to growing partnerships with corporations, individuals, businesses, organizations, and allied nonprofits to help fund Wekume’s transformative work. You will recruit, guide, and mentor a team of experienced fundraisers and gift officers, working together to secure the support needed to:
- Develop and launch our new and improved Wekume app

We are looking for fundraisers to contribute to our community-led fundraising strategy, to develop relationships with funders and to write funding applications.
You would join our fundraising circle, which coordinates our fundraising efforts. It is currently exploring grant opportunities and developing relationships with businesses and other funders. We meet online on Google Meet and volunteers complete agreed tasks remotely.
If you have experience in writing grants and funding applications, corporate fundraising, philanthropy, or any other aspect of fundraising, it would be great to hear from you.
We are keen fundraisers but we are lacking professional expertise and experience and we would love your help and input. We would welcome one-off advice on the phone or in person, as well as longer term volunteers.
We would also love to hear from potential volunteers without experience but with transferable skills.

ScreenSkills launched its five-year strategy in Autumn 2024. To support the successful execution of that strategy, we are seeking new committee members who have a broad mix of industry experience to join the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. The primary responsibilities of the committee are to provide ScreenSkills with critical oversight over the organisation’s financial health, internal controls and risk management. The Committee also offers council and insight on strategic, transformational, growth, legal, data and technology matters as required.
The committee members play a vital role in safeguarding the current and future financial health and integrity of ScreenSkills and in supporting the Board in meeting its fiduciary and legal responsibilities, thereby ensuring that the organisation can deliver its core purpose, vision and strategy. As a committee member, you will be responsible for providing independent oversight and direction to ensure strong financial stewardship, robust risk management, and effective governance of ScreenSkills. Finance, Audit and Risk Committee members have collective responsibility. This means that the committee members always act as a group and not as individuals.

Main Responsibilities (collectively as part of the committee):
- Review the draft ScreenSkills Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and make recommendations to the Board.
- Review financial reports, budgets, management accounts and KPIs to ensure clarity, accuracy and accountability.
- Monitor performance against budget and targets
- Advise on reserves policy, approve investment and funding strategies in line with ScreenSkills objectives.
- Monitor and review the ScreenSkills risk register and advise on appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure an effective risk management approach.
- Ensure compliance with charity law, financial regulations and reporting obligations (e.g. Charity Commission).
- Liaise with auditors and review external audit findings and recommendations.
- Support and constructively challenge the ScreenSkills executive team in financial and risk-related decisions.
- Optional opportunity to support senior management on ad hoc projects linked to the execution of the strategy
Reports to: The Finance, Audit and Risk Committee Chair
Location: Hybrid / In person / different locations around the UK

Senior Leadership experience covering areas such as:
- Experience in finance, audit, legal, technology, accounting, or risk management, ideally within or alongside the non-profit/charity sector.
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and reports.

- Experience assessing organisational risk, internal controls and compliance systems.
- Expertise/expert knowledge in at least one of the following areas:

The Professional Development Programme with Quilombo UK runs over a period of 16 weeks, is UNPAID, and requires a minimum of 12 hours commitment per week across Monday, Wednesday and/or Friday.

Your internship role within Concordis will be shaped by what is happening on Concordis programmes during the six months you spend with the organisation and by your interests, experience and abilities. As a team, we rely on each member to contribute their skills to our work and we will look to make the most of what you have to offer, while at the same time giving you opportunities to develop new skills and to challenge yourself.
You may be asked to carry out research and analysis into countries in which we are active, guided by our research managers and following our research methodology. Your role may include assisting with the development of project proposals, monitoring international news outlets and researching potential new project areas. You may be asked to help with monitoring and evaluating our programmes, working with the programme managers and programme officers to understand and capture results from our programme activities.
You may also be required to give practical, logistical and administrative support to the programme team to which you are allocated, including helping to set up data collection systems, analysing the data collected, preparing and sharing reports, liaising with project partners, preparing for dialogue or training sessions, translating peacebuilding material and taking notes at internal and external meetings.
You will attend team meetings and programme update meetings where you will hear from the Director of Programmes and other members of the programme teams, giving you the chance to understand what is happening on the programmes and to ask questions about any aspect of peacebuilding.
You will be asked to research sources of funding and may be involved in drafting applications for funding, including generating ideas for new programmes that meet the needs of communities and donors.
You may be required to attend external meetings, seminars and conferences and to contribute to website and social media content. You will be given opportunities and time to attend virtual training on peacebuilding and related topics. You will be asked to be part of the Security Monitoring rota whereby we take turns to track the movements of the in-field staff. This does include occasional essential weekend working.
You may also be asked to assist with HR processes such as evaluating applicant CVs and be given the opportunity to attend interviews as an observer/interviewer.
The internships are designed to give you concrete experience in research, programme management and funding within the international development sector.
