We are seeking candidates who have experience working in a finance function and have skills in office management and administration including data processing. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Corporate Services, the role provides support in bookkeeping, credit control (inputting of sales and purchases invoices), health and safety and smooth running of the office (ranging from ensuring there is milk in the fridge to ordering stationery as well as IT requirements). As the main point of contact for callers and visitors an awareness of excellent customer service will also be needed. The appointment comes at a pivotal moment: in September 2023, after 25 years of community campaigning, Crystal Palace Park Trust took over custodianship of this unique landscape via a 125-year lease from the London Borough of Bromley. We are now working closely with them and a wide variety of other park and community stakeholders to deliver our mission: to protect, manage and improve Crystal Palace Park as a green, historic, ecological, recreational, sporting, cultural and educational resource in the interests of park users and of the wider community.

Role Responsibilities 

Strategy and planning

• Deliver the existing Community and Events strategy and maximise opportunities for income growth

Fundraising events management

• Manage delivery of the event portfolio to achieve financial and sign-up targets, delivering effective on the-day support for event participants. This includes ensuring our events are accessible for visually impaired participants

• Deliver excellent supporter care to ensure supporters are motivated to achieve (and exceed) their fundraising targets, feel valued and build engagement with us 

• Key point of contact for high level event participants and community fundraisers via face-to-face meetings, phone calls and emails – providing timely and personalised support

• Support the Events and Community Officer with enquiries, applications and registrations for challenge events, ensuring high levels of conversion, and capturing relevant supporter data 

• Support the Head of Community and Engagement, or other teams within Fight for Sight with the successful delivery of key special events, including fundraising gala dinners or receptions, virtual events and mini conferences, and third party or established supporter events.

• When required, support the Events and Community Officer in managing guest lists, enquiries, and ticket sales for special/major donor events and receptions, delivering a seamless guest experience and timely follow-ups supporter care and relationship management

Marketing 

• Oversee all paid Facebook advertising activity for events, updating web listings, and utilising our networks

• Work with the Marketing & Communications team to raise awareness/increase recruitment across all activities, highlighting case studies and media stories 

• Develop and deliver effective and engaging content, and materials for supporters to increase recruitment, retention, and average fundraising amounts

• Oversee the creation and delivery of quarterly events e-newsletter, plus additional e-blasts

Managing information and reporting 

• Work with the Database Manger to ensure accurate records within our CRM system (ThankQ) and management of income from online and offline giving

• Carry out post-event evaluations, analysing supporter data help facilitate greater levels of income 

• Support other areas by attending events, exhibitions etc. as required by a small team with varied responsibilities

Person specification

Desirable skills, knowledge & experience

• Minimum five years of experience of events and community fundraising, in particular with developing overseas or large-scale mass participant events.

• Experience with recruiting new volunteers and fundraisers from a range of community groups including but not limited to faith-based fundraising, schools and street collections. 

• Meeting income targets of over £350,000.

• Experience with managing senior volunteers within fundraising groups and building excellent rapport with them.

• Liaising at all levels with the ability to motivate and inspire others to support financially.

About the role

This new role will join our corporate partnerships team to build on our success of working with UK headquartered companies to raise vital funds to support our vision of a decent home for all. The role will focus exclusively on new partnerships and with scope to define what sectors are prioritised within the first year of post such as construction, logistics, transport, or manufacturing.

Key roles and responsibilities include:

• Identifying and engaging with prospective corporate partners, developing, and nurturing relationships to secure new partnerships
• Building and maintaining a robust pipeline of potential corporate supporters, leveraging your existing network, and researching new leads
• Creating compelling and tailored proposals, showcasing the value of partnerships and the positive impact they can have on our mission.
• Collaborating effectively with internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to drive successful partnerships.
• Providing regular updates on new business activities, pipeline progress, and partnership outcomes
• Representing at relevant events and conferences, expanding our reach within the corporate sector

The role will help to develop and increase income for Habitat GB from corporate partners. The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a Database Officer to support our Public Fundraising team.

This exciting Database Officer role will support the data team with data imports, data selections and processing of income.

The Foundation has just started using a new CRM after undergoing a CRM migration from Raiser’s Edge, a very exciting time to be joining the Foundation! This role, alongside with other members of the data team, will liaise with the CRM Project Teams to support and ensure the successful outcome of the project and get us up to BAU.

What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email sign ups etc.in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with Database Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR in particular relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the new CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Beacon, Raiser’s Edge or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
• Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.

Overview and key points on the role  | Rape Crisis South London is looking for 2 part time skilled, passionate and professional Caseworkers who will be based within the Advocacy Service.  As a Caseworker you will support clients through their journey through the housing and benefits system by providing practical and emotional support to survivors of sexual violence.  You should have a good working knowledge of Housing processes and Welfare benefits systems with experience of carrying out assessments and completing applications.  In addition to having excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills you should also be able to develop key relationships with external agencies such as the local authority.   You should have demonstrable experience working with survivors of sexual violence and of working in a trauma-informed way. We will provide clinical supervision, full training and line management, and the opportunity to develop your skillsets. Responsible to the Advocacy service manager you will be a key member of the advocacy service, working alongside our ISVA’s in a busy and supportive team.
