About the role

You’ll look to maximise the potential of each supporter, as well as how the charity can support them, working with your team and colleagues across the charity. You will ensure that every supporter has a great experience of Parkinson’s UK.

Be the first point of contact for any supporters contacting the charity. Manage numerous inboxes and entry points for teams across the organisation.

Processing and thanking all offline income received at the UK office, paid over the phone or into the bank account through a variety of methods.

The team are experts in providing excellent customer care and have to maintain good working knowledge of all fundraising activity; research developments; current campaigns and the requirements of people affected by Parkinson’s

Do you have experience in generating and sustaining charitable giving from individuals and nurturing a Friends scheme in the Arts education sector? Are you passionate about choral singing and its power to change the lives of children and young people and can you successfully advocate on our behalf to potential major donors?
The primary focus for the new role is to generate sustainable charitable giving from individuals, maintaining and growing our Friends memberships and developing significant income from major donors. We will also welcome input on stewardship of trusts and foundations if this is also your area of expertise.
We are a leading choral singing organisation and run residential summer courses for children and young people. Our artistic director, Ralph Allwood, founded the organisation 45 years ago, since when over 10,000 young people have benefited from our life-changing courses. Nowadays, around one third of students receive generous bursary support to attend a course and we also work with a range of partner organisations to encourage even more young people from diverse backgrounds to take part in our choral singing courses. We want to secure the future of the organisation and increase the number of students we can support by significantly growing our individual giving.
We are looking for an experienced fundraiser to work up to 2 days per week on a freelance basis to help us move up a gear or two in terms of our fundraising, specifically to develop private giving from our extensive alumni network and the many successful individuals who feel music education at a young age made them the person they are today.
We have an office in central London but the job can be done remotely with occasional meetings with the General Manager, either in person or virtually.

Location: Working from home with occasional visits to the office at King’s Place, London and meetings with donors c. weekly
Main goal: To launch our 45th anniversary year development appeal and manage fund raising through individual giving, Friends memberships and legacy donations and pledges, growing our charitable income in line with our strategy.
About this role:
The main duties and responsibilities for the Heads of Development role are as follows:
INDIVIDUAL GIVING
· Maintain and build relationships with our donors, and identify new individuals who would like to see the Rodolfus Choral Foundation thrive
· Use our extensive alumni list to source and maintain donors
· Use contacts from the artistic director and trustees to generate new donors
· Ensure that our top and potential donors are well looked after and researched, passing on key information to the Artistic Director and, where appropriate, arranging meetings between him and our donors
· Organise and co-host special donor events in unique venues
· Plan and help organise membership events for donors
· Help establish a legacy giving scheme for Rodolfus
· Have overall responsibility for reaching individual giving targets
· Ensure that data is accurately kept in our database in line with GDPR, and is harnessed to support our fundraising efforts
STRATEGIC PLANNING & REPORTING
· Develop a five-year Fundraising Strategy
· Set ambitious but achievable targets for each year, within the overall Rodolfus budget
· Contribute new ideas and find new opportunities for fundraising
· Produce quarterly fundraising updates for the Trustees
· Produce a fundraising report for the annual accounts, identifying strengths, weaknesses and areas for development in the Fundraising Strategy
TRUSTS AND GRANT-MAKING BODIES
· Liaise with the General Manager to ensure a coordinated fundraising plan and targets, in keeping with the artistic vision for Rodolfus
· Proof and submit applications and be the point of contact for Trusts and Foundations (this work is currently supported by the General Manager and a fundraising consultant)
GENERAL
· Attend Team and Board meetings as required
· Be a passionate advocate at all times for Rodolfus
· Adhere to all legal requirements relating to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as well as all other company policies and procedures
· Create a positive work environment, underpinned by the organisation’s values

You will be an exceptional communicator. You will have experience of managing comprehensive campaigns across a range of media especially in local or community-based campaigns. Your ability to inspire, motivate and mobilise both internal colleagues and potential partners externally will be key. Overall, you will have excellent insight, planning, organisational and project management skills, with exceptional attention to detail and appreciation of copy and production quality issues.

The Tackling Destitution Together project is a partnership between Citizens Advice Hammersmith and Fulham and Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank aimed at enabling eff ective early intervention in the borough and focussing on support for local disabled people. The project is a pilot, funded by Citizens Advice and Trussell Trust national bodies for 1 year.
We will do this by; training frontline workers & volunteers on the main issues aff ecting those at risk of poverty and on how to eff ectively navigate systems to resolve these issues. Using training and resources to enhance the conversations held at an early stage and focus on connecting people with information and support before they fall into crisis. Hand holding people through these journeys navigating the system and resolving the root cause of their issues. Embedding research and participation to demonstrate the impact of this approach.
We will know we have succeeded if; our training off er is taken up by those agencies seeing people at crisis trigger points. The agencies we support report improved confi dence to assess and signpost before a crisis. Indicators of crisis, such as food bank referrals, reduce in number. We can demonstrate the impact of hand holding support to prevent people from reaching crisis.

Summary of the position
Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.
The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels.
This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy.
This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :
With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.
1. Business Development (65%)
- Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
- Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
- Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
- Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
- Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
- Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
- Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events
2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)
- Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
- Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings.
- Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
- Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.
3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)
- Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and
- Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
- Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled.
Position Requirements :
- Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
- Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
- Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts
- Experience within the charity sector is desirable but not required
- Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to attend external events (including evening events) and comfortable networking with a variety of people across different communities

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager and take the lead in delivering our DIY and open challenge events portfolio through impactful acquisition campaigns and outstanding supporter experiences.
As part of the Mass Participation team, you’ll be responsible for developing the overall strategy for both the DIY and open challenge events programmes. A key part of the role is identifying and maximising opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends. This will involve researching new opportunities, monitoring developments across the sector and continuously improving ways of working.

Job Purpose
The Business Support Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the day to day running of the business. They will support the delivery of projects whilst working with Project Managers. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the successful post holder will have effective organisational skills and be able to plan/prioritise the delivery of work. The Brompton Fountain is the children’s charity at Royal Brompton Hospital - a world leading specialist centre for complex heart and lung disease. We work in partnership with the teams on the wards, paediatric intensive care unit (PICU) and in outpatient clinics. Our charity provides support and resources for patients, families and staff, as well as funding lifesaving medical equipment, accommodation - so that parents can stay close to their child during an admission, toys and entertainment for the playroom and improvements to the facilities to create the best possible environment for families to promote their wellbeing during what can often be a very challenging time. In collaboration with the hospital trust and the NHS we also fund research projects and develop new initiatives for babies, children and young people with heart and lung conditions.

Community and Events Fundraising
• Assist in the planning and execution of a diverse range of fundraising events, including challenge events and community initiatives.

Additional Information
