ROLE PURPOSE
This position involves identifying and prioritising potential donors capable of making significant contributions to help us deliver a range of projects aimed at enhancing the student experience and supporting the local community. By providing the Development and Fundraising Team with tailored and insightful research, this role will enhance the prospect funding pipeline and facilitate the cultivation of a diverse pools of donors, including individuals, grant-making trusts, and companies. This role will also manage a well-structured stewardship program for donors. Responsibilities include promptly acknowledging donations, creating personalised impact reports, and overseeing bi-annual events which recognise and celebrate their support.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
· To maintain and develop the University’s database of fundraising prospects through proactive identification, analysis, and segmentation, (individual and aggregate) record updating, and original research, including the identification of new prospects.
· To prepare prospect profiles (which may include wealth ratings), and work with relationship managers to devise appropriate tailored cultivation and solicitation plans, enabling appropriately targeted fundraising asks.
· To develop and manage reporting in the database across fundraising portfolios to help ensure prospects are strategically moving along the prospect pipeline towards major gift solicitation • To produce and provide due-diligence reports on prospective donors as part of the University’s gift acceptance procedures.
· To deliver an annual donor recognition event to acknowledge and celebrate the support of the University’s most generous supporters.
· To organise smaller bespoke events for higher level donors to the university, for example, site visits to project sites and/or opportunities to meet student beneficiaries.
· To write insightful and impactful bespoke reports for donors supporting the University, ensuring reports demonstrate the positive impact of support and encourage repeat gift solicitation from the fundraising team.
· To keep abreast of regulations, including the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) ensuring that all prospect research and cultivation is compliant and understood by fundraisers.
· To undertake any other duties as appropriate within their competence, as required by their Head of Unit from time to time.
CONTEXT
The primary purpose of the Development team is to secure philanthropic income to support the delivery of the University’s Being Westminster 2022-2029 strategy. The Development team forms part of the Global Recruitment, Admissions, Marketing and Communications (GRAMC) directorate. The team also works closely with the Business Engagement Directorate to deliver an integrated approach to the University’s relationships with its key external stakeholders. The Development team collaborates with the Alumni Relations team to inspire and engage the University of Westminster’s vibrant, global community of alumni and supporters to build lifelong and mutually beneficial relationships with the institution.
DIMENSIONS
· The role has no budgetary responsibility.
· This role will be expected to manage a varied workload with limited, direct supervision.
· The post holder will be expected to support key GRAMC activity which may include some unsocial working hours.

The Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi) is an international, not-for-profit research and development (R&D) organization that develops and delivers new treatments for neglected diseases affecting millions of the world’s poorest people.

Purpose of the position
We’re looking for an experienced prospect researcher with strong analytical skills and an excellent knowledge of the global philanthropic space to join our Private Sector Fundraising team. You will be joining a growing major gifts programme with ambitious goals and a strong new business focus.
You will have prospect research experience in a global health, scientific or medical non-profit setting, and the ability to move comfortably between the worlds of research and philanthropy and to identify opportunities beyond the obvious.
The successful candidate will develop and implement an effective prospect research strategy supporting DNDi’s philanthropic ambitions, identifying new leads from foundations, philanthropists, trusts and companies, philanthropy collaboratives and funding calls. Specific Job Responsibilities
1. Strategy and planning:
· Assist in developing a proactive and growth-focused prospect research strategy that aligns with DNDi's fundraising plans and strategic priorities.
· Develop and socialise processes and procedures relating to prospect research.
· Contribute to developing a visibility strategy for DNDi through the identification and tracking of prizes and relevant philanthropic and global health conferences.
2. Prospect identification:
· Identify and qualify prospective donors by cross-referencing information from our supporter database, external databases, funding calls, media sources, and biographical references.
· Conduct in-depth research on prospective donors and contacts.
· Build, track, and report on prospective donors for various funding priorities, ensuring they meet fundraising ambitions.
· Develop strong relationships internally, promoting the effective use of research information.
3. Prospect management:
· Make data-driven recommendations to support the cultivation of new prospects and the management of key donor relationships.
· Ensure fundraisers have dynamic prospect portfolios optimized to meet fundraising targets.
· Provide timely, accurate, and relevant information to fundraisers and organisational leaders as required, including meeting briefings.
4. Communication and internal capacity building:
· Present research results through written reports and presentations for various audiences.

5. Knowledge capture/retention, compliance and due diligence:
· Input and maintain accurate information in Salesforce to support ongoing relationships and work with relevant team members on the systemization of knowledge capture, pipeline reporting and prospect ranking systems in Salesforce.
· Conduct ethical screening and due diligence research on prospects and donors to ensure compliance with DNDi's policies.
· Ensure compliance with data protection regulations in relation to data processing and use of prospect management tools.
6. Resourcing:
· Manage relationships with relevant external suppliers, including contractual and budgetary aspects, and oversee the use of prospect management tools.

What’s the job?
We need someone with high quality research and data analysis skills to join us as our Research and Evidence Manager. You will work with us to plan, design and deliver projects with cross-sector stakeholders, as well as developing reports and other ways to share our findings with members and the wider sector. We need someone who has solid research skills, is a natural collaborator, and can collate and present research in different ways to help us achieve the change that’s needed for Londoners.
This role is crucial in ensuring that we deliver on our ambition to drive a learning culture, where shared data, intelligence and insight leads to better decision-making. This role is initially fixed term for one year, and may be subject to renewal. It reflects our growing commitment to ensuring our work is relevant and responsive to the diverse needs of our members and communities. As this is a newly developed post, we are also looking for someone who can work flexibly and bring ideas to help shape the role, so that it has a lasting impact on the way London Funders works.
So, what sort of work will you be doing? We’ve just committed to a really exciting and crucial piece of research taking place over the next year, where we will work with funders and equity partners to map the current state of funding for equity and justice infrastructure. Who are we looking for?
Our ideal candidate would be someone who has experience of running multiple research projects at once with strong project management skills, and direct experience designing and leading both qualitative and quantitative projects. The Role
The Philanthropy & Research Manager will work closely with the Head of Philanthropy to deliver on their ambitious strategy. This person will have substantial experience (3-5 years) of working in environments such as philanthropy, either within grant making through family, corporate or independent foundations or possibly within the corporate or investment world where social impact and transformational change is the end goal. The Research Initiatives Manager is a crucial role at the College, as you will work closely with senior clinicians to lead a series of projects and activities to feed into the development and delivery of child-health research initiatives. The initiatives include research awards, research events and research capacity and capability building, by embedding academic skills into the paediatric workforce and enabling academic research.
As Research Initiatives Manager, you will also lead on the RCPCH Genomics Programme which aims to develop and deliver a series of resources and activities related to the integration of genomics services into mainstream paediatrics.
Based within the Research and Evidence team, you will be the operational lead for relevant Committees and working groups, acting as a representative of the College to represent the views of paediatricians, whilst ensuring timely reporting of progress to Project Boards.

With a degree or equivalent experience with a research, health science, life sciences or genetics/genomics component, you should have a proven understanding of the national funding landscape and infrastructure for clinical research.
You should have experience of collaborative ways of working across multidisciplinary teams and programmes of work, along with demonstrable experience of producing high quality written reports, documentation and promotional information suitable for a range of audiences.
With excellent organisational skills and an ability to adopt an orderly and precise approach to work, paying careful attention to detail and the ability to follow standard procedures and ways of working, you should also have demonstrable programme management skills, and be capable of working autonomously and taking personal responsibility for your projects.

About the Role:
Victim Support (VS) is the leading independent charity in England and Wales for people who have been affected by crime and traumatic incidents. Understanding the experience and needs of victims and witnesses of crime is central to the charities' aims and vision.
As a Research & Lived Experience Officer you will have the opportunity to capture the voice of victims and promote evidence based recommendations to improve the experience of victims in the criminal justice system. You will be a part of a small but enthusiastic research team, while also having the opportunity to lead your own project.
You will have the opportunity to recruit participants and manage a Lived Experience Engagement Forum, and to regularly engage, build and maintain close relationships with the forum's participants. You will also need to conduct workshops/focus groups to collect feedback and insights from the participants on various products and procedures, and produce summaries of this feedback.
To be successful in the role you will need to have proven experience in recruiting vulnerable people to take part in research activities and conducting workshops or focus groups and interviews. Experience in writing and analysing surveys is an advantage. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, as well as experience of working in partnership with various stakeholders. Having knowledge of victims of crime is desirable, but not essential.

Plan and oversee the implementation of new menus, specials, and food and drink related offers.

Manage the Deputy Café Manager and Café Assistants, including supporting them with their continued development, managing rotas and timesheets, providing training and providing appropriate support when needed.

Maximise profitability through driving sales and managing and controlling costs, stock, and margins effectively.

Be trained as a First Aider and Fire Marshal.
About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:

Proven experience of working in a catering or hospitality role at a similar level.

Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene Certification.

Experience in managing staff and/or volunteers including recruitment and development.

To be highly organised with good time management skills and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate yourself and others.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop and nurture talent.

To be resilient and adaptable to change.

To be willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check with children's barred list due to the requirement to supervise and train Cafe volunteers between the ages of 14 – 18 years old.

About the Role
The School of Geography at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) are seeking a project manager to work on major new externally funded research project investigating the impact of pollution and climate change on the resilience of coastal communities and seas. The project is a collaboration between five universities - QMUL’s School of Geography, University of Glasgow, Kings College London, University of Bradford and University of Sunderland – and more than 30 end-user environmental and community organisations.
The aim of our project is to understand the interlinked risks of climate change, coastal flooding and erosion, and coastal pollution for coastal community and ecosystem resilience. Working with stakeholders, communities and policy makers we will co-develop practical and policy interventions through a multi-dimensional assessment of coastal natural capital, heritage, and socio-cultural capital.
The focus for this role will be to support the co-ordination and delivery of the project.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience of managing large, multi-institution research projects but will not need expertise in pollution, climate change or coastal policy. The Project Manager will:
Manage project progress via appropriate tools such as a risk register, RACI matrix, progress/milestone trackers/Gantt chart. Provide regular updates to the project directors with regards to overall progress, milestones, interdependencies, and key deliverables.
Support day to day running of the project and provide the main point of contact for project coordination and managing relationships.
Maintain clear and effective communication with external partners, collaborators and the public.
Organise, facilitate and ensure smooth running of project team meetings, stakeholder meetings and community workshops.
Manage the budget, track spending and support effective procedures in the overall team ensuring compliance with the funding organisation.
Liaise with all project collaborators at regular intervals to collect carbon emission information for of the project activities.
