Within our Business Development Team there are two vacancies for Projects & Partnerships Officers. These roles will each look after specific projects under our management. Some projects managed by the Community Foundation include the Best Kept Village & Community Competition, Trust Transfer projects, and frontline projects supporting rough sleeping, digital exclusion and care leavers, amongst others. As well as general administrative tasks, you will help to arrange events which support and promote our projects, create resources and manage relationships with our supporters and donors. You will be responsible for the direct delivery of some of our projects, and help to steer future projects and partnership work. We are especially keen to hear from people with a proven track record in project management, project delivery or from under-represented communities.

About MenWalkTalk
MenWalkTalk is a registered charity in England which aims to support an improvement of mental health in men of all ages by engaging in a walking group which is proven to be beneficial to their mental and physical wellbeing. The Stigma around Men’s mental health needs to be broken. MenWalkTalk also aims to reduce social isolation for men and provide signposting to specialist support for those who may be experiencing mental health problems. We want to provide volunteer-led walking groups in every county across England and then the UK. Our volunteers have mental health first aid training as a minimum and their aims are to discuss mental health within their walking groups, in a caring, supportive, and non-judgemental manner. We currently have 22 walk-leaders and 5 campaigners, all of which are volunteers.
Job Description – about the role
We are seeking to hire a self-motivated and enthusiastic Fundraising Officer to work with the charity team and to support the activities of the organisation.
The ideal candidate will possess a wide range of skills and be interested in playing a key role within a small and committed team, supporting the Trustees and Fundraising & Marketing Committee with the organisation’s activities.
As a Fundraising Officer your primary responsibility will be to develop, engage and grow corporate, trust, and individual supporters to help MenWalkTalk achieve its goals. Working closely with the CEO and Trustees. You'll contribute to the team by conducting research, managing appeals and fundraising efforts, handling administrative tasks, and providing event support across our team.

Key responsibilities:
Fundraising

About the role
This is an exciting new post in the Communications Team at Glass Door. KidsOut’s core mission is to provide support designed to improve emotional, educational and social outcomes for children and young people who are facing numerous adverse childhood experiences associated with domestic abuse, poverty, family breakdown or ill health. We do this by providing joy filled experiences, practical and emotional support, and facilitating therapeutic or educational initiatives that strive to empower each child or young person to overcome adversity, unlock their full potential, and flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
KidsOut’s support is offered to every child in a Women’s Aid refuge and over 100 independent refuges as well as children and young people experiencing crisis and challenge from some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged communities across the UK. Many of the 70,000 children and young people we support have undergone traumatic experiences, which can cause significant harm to their psychological development, their emotional wellbeing, their school life and their relationships.
We aim is to restore some normality and provide comfort to these traumatised children and young people though our programme of wellbeing amd educational activities. Our multi-faceted activities include fun days out, music, sport and art workshops as well as delivery of our bespoke Toyboxes to every child arriving at refuge. Additionally, for young people struggling to cope with their mental health we collaborate with regional partners to offer face-to-face sessions that offer specialist support and coping strategies to build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing.
In your role of Trust and Partnerships Officer you will be actively involved in the provision of these positive initiatives by applying your excellent research and relationship management skills to help develop a pipeline of income from charitable trusts and corporate foundations with the potential to support our wide range of projects. You will identify and develop compelling applications to secure funding through various funding sources, that not only contributes to the financial team target but makes a difference to the UK's most vulnerable children.

They’re an independent, not for profit organisation on a mission to stop electricals being hoarded and thrown away, and ensure they’re reused and recycled instead. They fund technical research on the barriers to recycling; work with partners to improve the current systems; and make it easier for people to change their behaviour through their nationwide Recycle Your Electricals campaign.
This role is part of their work to improve the UK electrical recycling system. All businesses who manufacture, import and sell electricals (producers and retailers) in the UK must comply with environmental obligations. These include ensuring electricals are responsibly recycled to protect natural resources, and manage waste. Businesses who don’t comply are called ‘Freeriders’.
This role will support the Local Authority and Environmental Partnerships Manager to educate electrical producers and retailers on their environmental obligations. You will carry out desk based research to help identify, map out and contact new and existing electrical producers and retailers (on and offline). And you’ll work with the inhouse team to develop communications and toolkits to help these businesses understand their environmental obligations. You’ll also work with the Environment Agency who are responsible for managing and investigating any potential ‘Freeriders’.

Job Purpose:
Oversight of all aspects of the finance of the Irish Chaplaincy: including pay roll, payment of bills, preparation of regular management accounts and the annual budget.

Key Responsibilities:
Internal & External Communication
• Organising monthly payroll, including pension payments.
• Processing receipts (cash, cheque, online, BACS) and payments in a timely manner, whilst ensuring good record keeping.
• Preparing reconciliations - bank, credit card and balance sheet.
• Preparation and presentation of finance reports to the Board of Trustees.
• Assisting with preparation of Statutory Accounts.
• Preparation and submission of expense and Gift Aid claims.
• Preparation of Annual Budget, in collaboration with the CEO.
• Assisting with any audits which need to be undertaken.
• Liaising with banks where necessary.
• Maintaining the monthly balance sheet reconciliation.
• Liaising with external stakeholders to resolve any outstanding queries.
• Ensuring that all transactions are entered promptly and accurately in the Quickbooks accounting system.
• Prepare figures for reports for external funders on a regular basis.
• Responsible for the provision of any other financial information or forecasts which may be required.

• To comply with, and participate in, the development of the Irish Chaplaincy's policies, procedures and practices.

Skills and Competence:
Essential:
1. Qualified management accountant.
2. A detailed understanding and experience of working with the Quickbooks accounting software package.
3. Experienced in Fund account management, relevant to charities.
4. Able to work independently, with sound judgement, good time management and prioritisation skills. Consistent attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines is critical.
