Do you have a good understanding of statistical methods and want to help put your skills to use to help address some of humanity’s biggest challenges?

We have just entered a new five-year strategy period and are looking for someone to join our expanding Research Team, which both commissions and conducts research. We are a growing organisation and will be further expanding internationally over the strategy period.

Law Centres tell us that their biggest concern right now is staff recruitment and retention. Supported by the Advice Workforce Development Fund, Law Centres Network has undertaken a programme of work to help ensure the long-term sustainability of the Law Centre workforce. Although initially focused on London, this work will benefit our network across the UK as we gain deeper insights, develop best practice, and co-produce new approaches.

We are looking for someone to work with Law Centres across London and co-ordinate a joint effort between Law Centres, LCN and other partners to improve recruitment, career progression, and staff retention in Law Centres and the wider social welfare legal advice sector.

We are the Law Centres Network (LCN). We make the UK a fairer place by helping people get justice, even if they cannot afford a lawyer. For nearly fifty years, we have been at the centre of a movement for social justice and we believe that people in greater need should get more help. Together with local Law Centres, we deliver faster, more accessible and more joined-up help. We do this by supporting Law Centres to get more help to people in need, bringing Law Centres together to solve systemic problems, and speaking out for change.

Many problems that people face involve the law – being treated unfairly at work, issues with their landlord, problems with welfare benefits, or being discriminated against. Law Centres employ lawyers and other professionals, who are experts in this kind of everyday problem. They give people legal advice and can represent them if they need it. They use the law to solve problems that hold people back, so they can get on with their lives. There are over 40 Law Centres across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join a small, committed and experienced team supporting children, young people and families before and after the death of a parent or sibling. SeeSaw is a local award-winning charity, established in 1999 and providing grief support for Oxfordshire families since 2000. 

We are looking for candidates who have experience of working with children and young people, and their families. You may have gained experience in a range of settings, but the most important quality is the ability to communicate effectively and to make and sustain supportive relationships with families. 

Our practitioners have a caseload of individual children and their families, and liaise with professionals from schools, health, social care and children and young people’s mental health services, as well as with our team of Volunteer Support Workers. You will be able to work collaboratively and on your own initiative, ideally have a qualification in health care, social work, counselling, psychological services or education; knowledge of therapeutic interventions in grief work would be helpful but not essential as training will be given. 

Men, younger people, and individuals from minoritised communities are underrepresented in our workforce and we are particularly keen to encourage applications from these groups.

What you’ll do:

• Lead, coach, mentor and develop the People team and People Partners to deliver the operational and strategic people requirements across the entire people portfolio

• Work in partnership and provide coaching, direction and support to Executive members (including the CEO) and leaders to enable them to deliver their teams plans and strategies

• Provide professional people advice, guidance and support with an up to date employment law input on a wide range of strategic and operational people issues. This will include leading on complex areas of change and providing guidance on employee relations cases

• Manage the people and establishment budgets and plans, setting the annual process ensuring effective financial control through the monitoring and review of the monthly management accounts.

• Work in partnership with the Associate Director of People & Culture in delivering the strategic agenda, People & Culture Strategy.

• Proven experience working as a People lead that includes, strategic Business Partnering and organisational change and restructures 

• Demonstrable experience of managing complex employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, appeals and performance management. This includes ETs and the interpretation of legislation for the purposes of internal policies and advice 

• Proven experience of coaching and leading teams of professionals

The Debt Advice Team at Toynbee Hall provides crucial support to individuals and families struggling with financial burdens. Funded by the Money and Pensions Service (MaPS), this team delivers expert guidance and practical solutions to help clients manage and reduce their debt. The team's advisors are trained to navigate complex financial situations, offering tailored advice that empowers clients to regain control of their finances. Their work is vital in fostering financial resilience within the community, ensuring that individuals have the tools they need to achieve long-term financial stability.

Scope of role

The Debt Technical Supervisor is responsible for supporting Debt Advisers to ensure the delivery of accurate, effective, and tailored advice to over-indebted clients. This role involves conducting debt-advice interview observations, reviewing case files, and identifying training needs for advisers. The Debt Technical Supervisor provides real-time support and constructive feedback, helping advisers navigate complex cases and ensuring they have access to the necessary resources and information. Additionally, the role includes auditing delivery partner organisations to prepare them for external reviews and supporting them in meeting compliance and quality standards. The supervisor will collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to promote best practices, address risks, and contribute to the continuous professional development of advisers.

Key Responsibilities

Support Debt Advisers in their roles and ensure that the advice provided to over- indebted Clients is accurate, effective and tailored to individuals’ circumstances.

• Conducting debt-advice interview observations.
• Undertaking debt advice file reviews.
• Identifying advisers’ soft skill and technical training needs.
• Providing constructive feedback, and pastoral support, to advisers and their line managers.
• Providing real-time support to advisers, which will include but is not limited to providing guidance in complex matters and provide advisers with sources of information.

Support, and regularly audit delivery partner organisations, ensuring that they are prepared for external reviews of their service in line with the Grant Agreement.

• Ensure partner organisation are kept up to date with the requirements for external assessments.
• Supporting partner organisations with the preparation and review of files and documentation ahead of an external assessment.
• Support partner organisations with the implementation of any remedial actions following an external review and support advisors to identify suitable training to improve areas highlighted.

Ensure project compliance and quality requirements are achieved

• Working closely with the Quality Assurance Mangers to ensure Advisors based at delivery partners have a good awareness and understanding of the quality and service delivery requirements and have active involvement in the delivery of partnership events related to both quality improvement and CPD.
• Working collaboratively to share good practice in performance and quality improvement and to progress key priority areas of work.
• Escalating risks promptly and appropriately and contributing to wider monitoring and reporting requirements.

• Prioritise and manage your own workload.

About International Lawyers Project (ILP) 

ILP is a network of talented and passionate pro bono lawyers drawn from diverse countries and cultures across the globe. We mobilise teams of legal experts to support the policy and legal needs of marginalised communities, their governments, and their social movement organisations. Our partners are civil society organisations, governments, community groups and investigative journalists.

Founded in the UK in 2005, we are staffed by a small core staff team of lawyers and thematic experts dedicated to using the law to achieve economic and environmental justice through strategic pro bono legal support. Over the last 20 years, we have supported partners in more than 100 countries.

Role and Responsibilities 

We are looking to recruit an experienced, innovative senior legal manager to manage our international Governance & Accountability Programme. The ideal candidate will be a qualified lawyer (or international development professional with equivalent experience in rule of law /governance / NGO use of legal strategies), with deep enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of how our partners could use the law to achieve anti-corruption reform. A more detailed explanation of our organisational and programme strategy is set out in our 2024-2026 Strategy.

Working as part of a small but dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to learn at close hand what it means to work for an international NGO focusing on how the law can be used to fight corruption and achieve environmental and economic justice. You will develop projects with a range of partners, including international agencies, NGOs, CSOs, governments and government bodies. You will collaborate with a range of volunteer lawyers (law firms and barristers chambers) who are leading experts in their field. You will also nurture, build and maintain relationships with our funders. The role will involve outreach to new partners, programme management, drafting fundraising applications and donor reports, tracking impact, as well as evaluating and learning from projects.

Key Responsibilities: 

1. Implement the strategic vision for ILP’s Governance and Accountability (G&A) programme, in conjunction with the Senior Programmes Director, Senior Counsel, Legal Fellows, Executive Director, partners, staff and Board; 

2. Develop an expert understanding of the most effective policy tools and legal interventions to deliver the programme’s objectives, through engagement with volunteer lawyers, ILP partners, staff, Board and others; 

3. Build and maintain ILP’s G&A programme. This includes:

· Liaising with partners to identify legal/policy/campaign needs and offer potential legal and/or policy reform solutions, including through conducting analysis of their activities; 

· Creating an active pipeline of G&A projects and cases including environmental crime and corruption, through identifying and engaging in regular outreach with potential new partners; 

· Ensuring an even spread of G&A projects across the five strategic programme pillars;

· Identifying, building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and new highly experienced volunteer lawyers;

· Mapping and developing relationships with regional and international development entities and other technical assistance providers to identify potential partners, needs and focus countries; 

· Representing the programme in external fora and events; 

1. Ensure effective project delivery and evaluation of impact including: 

· Managing & coordinating project implementation through the full project cycle; 

· Delivering financial management for assignments including accurate budgeting, forecasting, accounting and reporting; 

· Supporting the development and maintenance of strong programme management and knowledge management systems and processes, including regular updating of ILP’s databases; 

1. Working closely with the Senior Counsel and Senior Programmes Director, lead fundraising activities to support both the G&A programme and organisational overheads, including exploring opportunities for potential funding with partners, liaising with and nurturing donors, designing funding applications and creating relevant budgets; 

2. Line management of G&A Legal Fellow;

3. Share in the necessary operational and administrative activities of the organisation and contribution to website and social media communications.

Candidate profile:

We are especially interested in candidates with the following skills and experience: 

· A qualified lawyer (or equivalent with significant relevant professional experience) with an  excellent understanding of how law is useful to achieving reform in our key strategic work areas: public procurement integrity, environmental crime and corruption, accountability for international corruption asset recovery, countering illicit asset flows and illicit asset recovery, and tackling the UK’s role as an international money laundering hub for enablers; 

· Understanding and enthusiasm for the concept and practice of pro bono legal assistance;

· Demonstrable project management skills and experience in an NGO (5+ years);

· Demonstrable experience in donor management, including drafting fundraising applications and budgets, nurturing new and managing existing relationships, meeting donor reporting requirements, drafting donor impact reports and raising funds for future projects and activities;

· Relevant experience and knowledge (either from previous work experience or study) relating to economic justice and/or environmental law and policy in an international development context;

· Ability to work on a wide range of tasks simultaneously, and at speed, including developing and managing relationships with a range of stakeholders (donors, NGOs, civil society organisations and government representatives), on an international basis;

· Demonstrable understanding (either from previous work experience or study) of key issues in sustainable international development, including the UN Sustainable Development Goals; 

· Excellent research skills; strong administration and coordination experience in an NGO setting;

· Strong interpersonal and team working skills; 

· Comfortable working independently and proactively and as part of a small team with a busy caseload;

· Very high level of fluency in spoken and written English;

· Working knowledge of another language such as Spanish (desirable).

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Finance Officer to join our small, friendly team for 1 day per week (0.2 FTE) on a permanent basis. This is a hybrid role, offering a mix of home and occasional office-based working from our base in Hackney. 

Reporting to the Director, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and accurate management of our finances. You will be responsible for bookkeeping, financial reporting, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity to utilise your finance skills within a supportive environment where your contribution will have a direct impact. 

We’re looking for an experienced finance administrator or officer with a strong understanding of bookkeeping and financial reporting, ideally within a charity, social enterprise or small business. You’ll possess exceptional numerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and excellent organisational and time management abilities. You’ll also be a proactive problem-solver with a warm and friendly communication style and the ability to work collaboratively within a small team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Outreach Worker to work as part of a team delivering an assessment, support and move on service to vulnerable clients in supported or community based accommodation.

About the Role

As Outreach Worker, you will work under the direction, guidance and support of a Service Manager and an Assistant Area Director. You will be responsible for a caseload of clients as well as share responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of all clients, volunteers and staff in the service.

In accommodation based services, you will ensure that the accommodation is properly maintained and support the client to sustain their tenancy and participate in positive and successful move on.

Where the client lives in the community you will ensure that their tenancy is not at risk and that they have the skills and resources to manage and maintain their accommodation.

• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, adhering to safeguarding, emergency procedures, and health and safety protocols.
• Hold a caseload as key worker, delivering day-to-day and personalised support, including SMART support plans and regular assessments.

Summary of the position

Epic is looking for a Development Manager to support the activities of the UK Development Team to help us ‘make giving the norm’.

The Development Manager will work with the UK Director in our small team in the UK, as well as working closely with colleagues in Paris and Brussels. 

This position offers candidates the opportunity to develop their skills across a range of fundraising disciplines including corporate fundraising, major donor engagement, events, and philanthropy. 

This position will work with a deeply engaged team in an international environment. Given the versatile nature of the responsibilities and the small team size, candidates will need to show demonstrable flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to take ownership and work independently.

Key Responsibilities :

With support from the UK Director, the Development Manager will work collaboratively with the Director and wider UK team and Development colleagues in Paris and Brussels to execute the fundraising strategy in the UK. The Development Manager is a key role in a small team, and will contribute new ideas, networks and results to help us meet our income targets and therefore create more positive impact for children and young people globally. More specifically, the key responsibilities of this role are outlined below.

1. Business Development (65%)

• Lead prospect research and outreach efforts to expand Epic’s prospect donor pool in the UK: monitor the fundraising ecosystem, conduct in-depth prospect research and engage in proactive outreach campaigns through LinkedIn, emailing, digital networking and in-person events. This will include attending early morning and evening events as required.
• Set conversion objectives and support conversion from leads to donations
• Identify and secure lead opportunities within networks and events
• Pitch Epic and its various Giving Solutions to potential donors, and build tailored proposals when needed
• Maintain high discipline and consistency in follow-up with leads and donors: use Epic’s CRM to build a consistent pipeline of prospects, as well as maintaining the database with accurate and up to date donor information
• Evaluate and monitor the return on investment (ROI) of events and fundraising campaigns
• Prepare compelling fundraising communications, materials and presentations for donor meetings and events

2. Nurturing & engaging the UK Community (20%)

• Contribute to Epic’s engagement strategy for current donors to ensure an 80% renewal rate
• Maintain regular touchpoints with a subgroup of donors through activities such as sharing monitoring reports, organising project visits and volunteering opportunities in the UK, and scheduling regular calls and face to face meetings. 
• Act as the main point of contact for a subset of donors and answer their enquiries in a timely manner
• Craft and manage engagement opportunities such as UK events and webinars, including drinks, talks, breakfast events, and provide support to the organisation for the annual gala nights. Support will be provided for certain events by our in-house dedicated Events team.

3. Fundraising-related administration (15%)

• Manage donor-related administrative tasks, such as regular use of Epic’s CRM (Salesforce), donation forms, meeting preparation, minutes (where applicable), and 
• Process all donations, using Salesforce and related donation platforms, in a timely manner each month
• Liaise with international fund vehicles, such as Myriad USA, to ensure all international donation commitments are fulfilled. 

Position Requirements :

• Candidate must have the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Excellent level of English (both spoken and written) required
• Proficiency in French (written and spoken) highly desirable 
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales, fundraising or business development role, with demonstrable experience of securing 5- and 6-figure gifts

• Experience using software packages such as Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Canva and other applications

The Epic UK team is a small but dedicated team. The role requires flexibility and a start-up attitude. This is a full time, permanent position, based in the London office with the opportunity for two remote working days each week. This role reports to the UK Director and will involve closely working with Epic’s global development team, as well as with the Engagement, Programs, Marketing and Communications, and Operations teams.

Fundraising lead (fixed term 12-month contract, 0.4 FTE i.e. 14 hours a week)

JustMoney Movement is seeking a part-time Fundraising lead to help us grow a more sustainable funding base. The role will work with senior staff to develop our strategic case for support to target small organisational/ institutional donors (£1-5k grants/ donations).

We are a Christian charity using education and advocacy to work towards our vision of a fairer, greener future, through the transformation of our financial system and wider economy. We want to grow and diversify our funding base, reducing our dependence on a small number of grants, and building a movement of allies who feel part of the community and are willing to financially support it.

The Fundraising lead will work with senior staff to develop a case for support for our overall strategy and use this to target small organisational/ institutional donors including small trusts; corporates and organisations; and churches. 

Role description

· Grade 3.1 expected FTE salary £35,700 pro-rated to 0.4 FTE/ 14 hours a week = £14,280 (subject to annual inflationary pay review).

· Fixed term 12-month contract. This post has funding for 1 year.  If successful, there could be scope to extend the role for longer.
