About the role
We’re recruiting for a Regional Manager - a role that some people may consider daunting, but we'll support you every step of the way. All that we ask is that you dive in, embrace our culture and use your natural leadership skills to develop your team.
As Regional Manager, you’ll lead a diverse team across group of up to 16 shops within our London region, inspiring them to deliver ambitious targets and exceptional standards. Reporting into the Head of Operations, you’ll be accountable for all aspects of performance across your region:
· Consistent sales growth through innovation, sales analysis, improving operational efficiencies and controlling costs – generating income to fund Mind’s vital mental health support services
· Creatively finding new ways to acquire stock donations and to recruit volunteers
· Actively looking for new shop locations including large format shops, using your knowledge of the region
· Working with local Minds to promote their services and to understand the potential of developing meaningful partnerships.

Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a Legacy Manager to join our team. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, and in return, you will receive a salary from £42,810 per annum
About the Legacy Manager role:
The Public Fundraising team are responsible for recruiting and stewarding new supporters in order to secure long-term income and growth. The fundraising team has real ambition to grow and develop, and Legacy and In-memory giving will form a key part of these plans.
You will lead on the development and implementation of a new Legacy & In Memoriam fundraising strategy that will
support our vision to grow income in this area. To do this you will be an ambitious, confident and experienced Legacy fundraiser with a passion for excellent customer experience and a natural collaborator. You will be
great at building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will work with teams across the charity to establish potential within our existing networks as well as reaching new audiences.
This is an opportunity to build and shape Legacy and In-mem giving at Royal voluntary service. You will be responsible for putting together plans to acquire new donors as well as building comprehensive stewardship plans for legacy pledgers and in-memoriam donors. You will have experience of delivering legacy events, marketing and setting and meeting ambitious KPI’s.
The role will work closely with the Head of Public Fundraising, research and implementing other new Legacy and in memoriam opportunities. All legacy administration is handled externally.
Location: This role is Home based with occasional national travel

What you'll bring as our Legacy Manager :
Knowledge
- Experience of developing and managing a mixed Legacy and In-Mem Marketing portfolio.
- Experience of stewarding legacy prospects to become pledgers
- Excellent knowledge of GDPR, Fundraising Regulator guidelines, and other fundraising standards.
- A good understanding of working across a variety of fundraising channels; including digital, email, social media, direct mail, telemarketing, and SMS.
- A good understanding of using Charity CRMs.
- Proven record of managing agencies
- Proven track record of planning and delivering events
- A proven track record of delivering successful legacy and in memory fundraising programmes
- Understanding of UK legacy and in memory giving market including future trends and direction.
- Ability to report and analyse online and offline campaigns, including interpreting results, applying learnings and making recommendations to increase income.
- Ability to design, develop and deliver training and development activities for both staff and volunteers.
- Proven track record of delivering legacy cultivation events
Skills
- An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, and able to build and develop strong working relationships across an organisation.
- Strong public speaking skills and experience of speaking at events for volunteers and supporters .
- A self-motivator with excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects to schedule.
Experience
- At least 5 years’ fundraising experience especially in legacy and in memory fundraising
- Experience of integration of legacy & in memory fundraising promotion across an organisation
- Experience of working in a dispersed charity with operational volunteers
- Experience of working with volunteers in a fundraising capacity.
- Experience or understanding of the nature of home/remote working.

We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Store Manager to join Barnardo's on a Full Time, Permanent Basis.
As a Store Manager you will manage the day to day running of our Sheffield – Broomhill Store, leading a team of colleagues to maximise store sales and profits. By doing so you will play a crucial role in raising the funds for the amazing services and support Barnardo's provides for children, young people, parents, and carers across the UK.

Working Pattern: As the store is open 7 days a week, the successful post holder will be required to on a rota basis which will include weekend, evening, and bank holiday working.
The store has a private car park with a parking pass available for the successful candidate if required or there is a bus route from Central Sheffield to Broomhill.
Some but not all key responsibilities are:
- Ensuring stock is generated over the door by members of the public and donors sign up to the Gift Aid scheme.
- Ensure that the high standard of service to customers that is expected by Barnardo's is maintained at all times.
- Implement promotions in the Store as directed by Head Office or your Area Business Manager.
- Maintain a high standard of presentation, both in the windows and the interior of the Store.

The Role
The Supporter Experience Assistant is the first point of contact for supporters and administration tasks. Offering a high level of support, guidance, stewardship to supporters whilst implementing the operational delivery of all departmental transactional requirements related to the delivery of their fundraising and retail activities.
This is a pivotal role in ensuring supporter care and administrative excellence is achieved and maintained in an accurate and timely manner and that all queries are responded to quickly and consistently. Working collaboratively with colleagues from various departments including the finance team the Supporter Experience Assistant will undertake a team proactive approach to all aspects of delivery and immediately identify any potential risks and issues which will jeopardise supporter care and administrative excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a main point of contact in relation to supporter queries and administration tasks, reacting to all incoming queries in a positive and proactive manner.
- Assess supporter needs and offer help and support to minimising the need for multiple point of contact.
- Accurate and timely recording of donations and donor details on their supporter database.
- Be proactive in offering alternative ways to support the charity.
- Providing advice and support to member of the public trying to support the Hospice including problem solving with digital platforms, booking events, processing donations, booking collections/deliveries etc.
- Be proactive in growing supporter engagement, income generation and ensuring add on fundraising methods are captured i.e. gift aid, consents etc.
- Ensure regular provision of accurate income generation records in a timely manner on areas including but not limited to: Stock, Shops, Community, Corporate, Trusts & Foundations, Events, Individual Giving and Lottery.
- Effectively manage all data inputting, administrative and supporter care tasks within the department including maintaining accurate records of donor details and donations made, both digitally and paper based to ensure consistency and accuracy in a timely manner.
- Promote the services of the department at all appropriate opportunity.
- Assist with the management of all databases/CRM systems to enable accurate reporting measures to be undertaken.
- Maintain files and documents, archiving duplication and unnecessary files, where appropriate.
- Undertake regular file audits.
- Respond to all administrative queries and requests in a timely manner.
- Assist with the management of the department email inbox responding to contact requests and distributing the workload to relevant team members.
- Undertake any additional activities elsewhere in the charity as required and within your capability.
- Report any concerns or possible improvements to the relevant Head of Department.
- Support and attend the Hospice events and appeals.

- At least 2 years’ experience in a customer service environment
